What memories are made of!

We had an amazing vacation stay in Destin! The home was clean and all basic necessities were already available in the home. From the hot tub and pool, fireplace, jacuzzi tub, golf cart rides to the beach, we will definitely be back to stay in this beautiful home.

Perfect Destin beach house

This house was perfect for my family. We loved the gated community, kids enjoyed the pool. The homeowner kept in touch and responded right away when I had questions. I've been coming to Destin for over 10 years and this house is my favorite!

Beautiful neighborhood, close to the beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Destin! This home was lovely and in a beautiful neighborhood. The heated pool and hot tub were the highlights! The golf cart was perfect for the short trip to the beautiful white-sand beach! Jan was easily accessible and quite helpful! We would definitely recommend!

We loved this house! There are 5 bedrooms so we had plenty of room for our family. The pool is amazing & the property is close to the beach & restaurants. So many things were supplied with the house & communication was great! We hope to come back soon!

Quiet and Relaxing

Loved our stay. No issues with the home as the listing and photos are accurate. Quiet gated neighborhood. The pool was great for young kids and adult alikes. Plenty of pool floats, toys, towels available for use at the house (huge perk).

Jan was wonderful to work with. Had a conversation with her prior to the trip and she answered questions and gave ideas for our group. Property was as described and wonderful. The spa was a treat! Golf cart rental made trips to the beach and grabbing breakfast super convenient. Definitely recommend!

Great week!!

Super easy to ask questions and get timely responses! Property as described! We paid extra for the golf cart, which was super fun to take to the beach. We also paid extra for the pool and spa to be heated and that was a massive plus! The pool was perfectly warm that we could all swim comfortably in late December, and the spa was excellent!

Great house! Very spacious and comfortable. We had a 2 year old with us so liked that it was single story. Pool and hot tub were a plus! Screened in porch was also a plus. Nice that there were boogie boards and sand toys available. Definitely recommend getting the Golf cart. Beach and restaurants are a short golf cart ride away. Jan was extremely easy to work with. When the kids flights got cancelled due to hurricane Sally we were able to adjust our stay so we could enjoy the whole week. Would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Ocean Retreat Villa Creates Vacation Haven

Ocean Retreat Villa was the perfect location for our family’s beach vacation. The lovely home provided space and a relaxation vibe for our days in Destin. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 grandchildren and 3 adult couples: 2 comfortable living areas, 4 well-appointed bedrooms and great seating options for meals. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, cooking pans, and place settings for meals. There is mealtime seating in the dining room, at a high-top table and a large eat-at island in the kitchen. The screened in lanai is oversized and furnished with comfortable options for the group members to gather. The pool and hot tub area was a daytime and evening delight for all! Club Destiny’s pool and gym were also enjoyed. Our host, Jan T., provided great communication throughout the VRBO renting experience making for an awesome time.

Had a great time!

Property was clean and exactly as pictured in listing. We had a great weeklong June 2022 stay. Having the backyard pool was PERFECT for a hot week and not having to go to the beach non stop to cool off! Rent the golf cart as it makes it so so easy & fun to get to the beach in minutes, tour around the area and run to the store & ice cream shops. Many places nearby the house and pretty easy to get to - travel nearby early if you are in a rush as traffic is very very busy in late morning and afternoons. We had 9 adults and one 1 year old in our party and the house for perfect for us. We could swim and relax while the 1 year old napped. Only suggestion I would have is to supply more dishwasher tabs and garbage bags in the house. We had an amazing week!

Great location- great neighborhood

The house was great! Enjoyed the hot tub and the amount of room we had throughout the house. Kitchen is stocked well which normally isn’t the case at other houses in the area! They do have several items for the beach in the garage, but the wagon they have is broken so you can’t use it. Loved having the golf cart!! I won’t rent a house without one. The only bad thing I can say about it is having to purchase trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap, and cleaning spray or wipes to clean the kitchen. They only provide enough to get you started and most houses provide plenty.

Great choice for spring break 2021

Very enjoyable week in Destin. The property is centrally located in a very nice neighborhood. There are plenty of shopping options within a few minutes drive. The house was more than ample for our party of 12. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans and the plastic dinnerware for the pool area was very helpful and eliminated the need for paper plates. The appliances are modern and there is plenty of space to spread out inside the house. Our favorite part of the house was the outside seating and pool area. The screened in area offered plenty of sitting space and the pool and hot tub were well used. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the heated pool option in the cooler months. The golf cart was also great for getting around to the beach. Jan was extremely helpful prior to our arrival answering questions and was available to answer any questions we had during the stay. It is really a great place for a larger family and would highly recommend.

The property manager was very responsive to any questions/texts and is super nice. The house is not exactly what we thought as some pics make the pool/lanai area look larger/nicer. The pool waterfall stopped working and their pool guy came and he didn’t fix it (the owners were informed and said it would be fixed but wasn’t) so the kids were bummed it was inoperable for the last few days of our trip. The house itself is nice but, was not very clean at all and we had a couple of encounters with cockroaches inside the home. Floors and bathrooms were also not very clean. We had to clean floors and bathrooms before we could bring our items inside, not what we expected for the cost. Note:you’re asked to wash beach towels used but there is not any laundry detergent. We had to go buy laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, and of course toilet paper and paper towels (which we expected to buy paper products) to get through the week. It is a good location, beautiful club house with a decent gym and a beautiful club house pool/outdoor area.

Destin Retreat

The saltwater pool did not disappoint! We all loved hanging out there. We opted to heat it for an additional cost (May visit). The hot tub was hot too. It was so nice to have our privacy. The clubhouse is close, but we preferred the private pool. I was glad to have a big basket of beach towels for our family of 7. We went to Crab Island for an excursion and needed them. The master suite is very nice. The rest of the house provided plenty of space for us. We rented the use of the golf cart. We used it for a few beach runs and dinner at Pompano Joe’s. We rented the bikes. Those were pricey compared to the golf cart. We used them a few times and it was a nice way to get exercise. Jan was communicative and helpful when needed, and prior to our trip she called to give us helpful tips and answer any questions. The Destiny East is a very nice area, safe & quiet. Tips to future guests: bring garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, and maybe cooking spray if you intend to use skillet. We drove and brought a couple of pillows which we were glad to have.

Welcome to Gulf Breeze Vacations in Destin! We have three 5b properties that are close to the gulf; Ocean Retreat Villa, Southern Sands and Beach Walk!
I'm Jan - lover of food, travel, exercise and meeting new people. I am a mom of 22 year old twins and 2 cats. I am originally from the sound, then moved to Atlanta, and now I spend most of my time in Destin.

The Destiny East neighborhood is an upscale, gated community that has amenities that are unique to this HOA. When you come through gate, the streets are lined with pavers and sidewalks that lead to the beach. From the house, you can easily walk to the clubhouse to enjoy the community pool, spa, gym, theater, tennis, pickleball, basketball, and sidewalks for walking, biking and running to the beach. There is a tunnel that is part of the sidewalk that take you below the road.
The house is centrally located to explore everything that Destin and the surrounding areas have to offer.

When you walk into the house, your eyes lead you to the view of the lanai, salt-water private pool and spa. You will love basking in this pool and spa while everyday life melts away. At night-time there are LED, multi-colored lights. You will love relaxing in the screened-in lanai in the day, and night time with LED lights.
There are many upgrades including; quartz counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, upgraded tile floor in the master bedroom, tile to the ceiling in the master shower and more.
