Our family (4 adults, 2 children) stayed in Saint-Michel for one week and had a good time. M. Arago kindly picked us up from the village and lead us up to the cottage, following a really adventurous road. The house is really small, but has a spacious terrace and - surprisingly - even a little pool, which was great due to the heat. We were welcomed with some fruits and sweets, and also by a cat called Nina and an adorable little dog called Lily, the "tail that wags the dog".
During our stay, we visited several villages and attractions, including Les Orgues, the Gorges de Galamus and Villefranche, and we even spent one day by the sea. It has to be said, however, that it takes you about 1 hour to reach the sea, so "near sea" is a bit misleading. There is also a lake nearby which is perfectly for swimming and enjoying some delicious Crêpes.
Unfortunately, there were also some downsides: Due to the heat, thousands of tiny mosquitos started to tyrannize us as soon as it got darker. Moreover, it got really hot in the house too, so our nights were dominated by mosquitos and heat, which didn't make sleeping very pleasant. One should also mention that the house isn't that well equipped, there were for example no basic alimets like salt and sugar or washing powders for the dishwasher.
All in all, it still was a pleasant week, and we well miss the peace and quiet, the lovely terrace and, of course, the dog Lily. Thank you!
