Das Haus liegt im begehrten Crystal Beach, einem ruhigen Strandviertel in der beliebten Stadt Destin.
Es ist ein 1/5 von einer Meile, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Strand entfernt - nehmen Sie den Wagen oder fahren Sie mit dem Golfwagen.

Die Nachbarschaft ist der ideale Ort zum Wandern, Radfahren oder Joggen auf dem gepflasterten Weg entlang der Straße zum Strand oder dem malerischen Highway 98. Wir sind bekannt für einige der besten Angelmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Golfplätze der Welt. Destin ist als das glücklichste Fischerdorf der Welt bekannt. Es gibt unendlich viele Aktivitäten innerhalb weniger Minuten von zu Hause aus. Das Haus umfasst eine Wrap-around-Veranda, eine Grillterrasse, eine Außendusche, einen beheizten Pool und einen großen Hinterhof mit vielen Unterhaltungsbereichen. Innerhalb des Hauses verfügt die Hauptebene über einen offenen Wohnbereich für alle Quests. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie 5 Schlafzimmer und drei private Balkone.

Betreten Sie das Erdgeschoss mit einem großen offenen Wohnbereich mit Spieltisch, Flachbildfernseher, Halbbad, Esszimmer und Küche mit Frühstücksbar. Die erste Etage bietet einen großen Wohnbereich für Sie und Ihre Quests. Es gibt ein Schlafsofa für zwei Personen. Von der Küche aus führt die umlaufende Veranda zum Außendeckegrill, zum großen Pool und zur Außendusche.

Die zweite Etage umfasst die Master Suite und einen Balkon mit bequemen Stühlen für einen schönen Blick auf den Poolbereich. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, einen Flachbildfernseher und ein großes Master-Bad mit Whirlpool und Dusche. Das zweite Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett und einen Flachbildfernseher. Das dritte Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein Etagenbett, das 4 Etagenbetten (Zweibettzimmer) mit Flachbildfernseher bietet. Es gibt 3 Vollbäder im zweiten Stock, darunter das Master-Bad.

Die dritte Etage verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Betten und Flachbildfernseher. Jedes Zimmer hat einen eigenen Balkon. Ein Vollbad befindet sich im zweiten Stock.

FAMILY VACA

Great home for family. We had 3 couples, 1 single and 2 kids, six and four. Bedrooms enough for our family, and each had their own bathroom. It was wonderful. The best part was the back yard! Nice pool and great set up for outdoor dining. We went swimming day and evening. Kitchen & living room were fine for our evening gatherings. Need to put a picture of the spiral staircase to 3rd floor on VRBO as we were surprised when we got the house info a week before arrival. This may present a problem for anyone who's not mobile enough to climb the stairs. Jan was attentive, and answered any questions we had promptly.. Can't speak highly enough of her. Overall...great place to stay!

Big Home, Great Neighborhood

It’s challenging traveling with 14 people and giving everyone their own space, but this house was deceivingly large. It’s a three story home, the second story has three bedrooms and three baths. They’re not all attached, but it gave the illusion of everyone having their own bathroom. On the third floor there are two king bed rooms & a shared bath. The backyard was the star of the show, it was an additional living space that our group utilized most of the time. The kitchen is fully stocked, the host was very responsive & the neighborhood was quaint even though it was near EVERYTHING! The A/C worked great & we never ran out of hot water. Easy walk to the beach & overall a great stay! It wouldn’t feel like a true review if I don’t give any constructive criticism, so my only suggestion is to bring your own sheets if you’re picky about the bed. The mattresses were fine, but the sheets are basic. I would have slept better in my own sheets. Thank you Jan for a great stay!

Great Property & Excellent Host

This property was as described. We loved the outside area. Plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen and rest of the home were fully stocked with everything we needed. The beach was just a short walk away and we were very close to everything ...shopping, groceries, etc. The owner, Jan, was amazing and by far the most proactive host I've ever encountered. She was super helpful and the house was very organized. Another guest who also owns house rentals commented on how impressed he was at her local information & home book / binder. She made sure that we did not have a single question upon arrival and she checked in periodically while we were staying there which was nice. We will definitely recommend this rental to others. Thank you Jan for making our stay a great one!

5 star experience

We had an amazing stay at Southern Sands! From the moment we booked, Jan was attentive and extremely informative. The home was clean and within walking distance to the beach. The pool was a big hit for the kids and adults and was stocked with rafts and other various pool toys! We rarely went out for dinner because of the comfort of the home. I’m sure we will be back someday!

Convenient location

Location was great not too far from the ocean and white sandy beaches and it does sleep a lot of people. I rated the add a 3 because it sounds like the pool comes heated but it is an additional 350.00 to have the pool heated. Like I said it does sleep a lot of people but the stair situation is narrow spiral staircase leading to the two bedrooms upstairs. I think that it is really hard to tell from photos what you are getting. We have stayed in many VRBOs throughout the years and sometimes I am impressed and other times disappointed that I did not do enough research before booking. Neighbors were great and overall it was a quiet street. Everyone runs their business/rentals differently and that’s ok and now I know the questions and clarification to get before booking.

The house was great we had a wonderful time. The owner was very quick to respond to any issues. The only complaint I have is it’s listed with a heated pool but that was an extra cost. It should be listed heated pool optional cost. Otherwise great location plenty of room. The grandkids were in the pool all day and it was very close to the beach. I would definitely rent again.

Jan and Jim were fantastic! Our communication was great. When an unexpected problem with the water heater came up they were on it right away and even made one of their other properties available for showers and a hot tub while the water heater was repaired. Beautiful house!

This house was BEAUTIFUL!! It was so close to the beach and had so much around it! The street is beautiful, pool is amazing, the house had everything you needed. The owner responded immediately to any questions I had in reference to things for the house. I most definitely will be staying here again and recommending it to anyone wanting to go to Destin! The only minor things I can say is change would be the bed in the master be a little softer (it’s a little too firm for my liking) and the heated pool to be a little warmer, but it was a very rainy weekend when we went so that could be what caused it to be cold too. My girlfriends and I thoroughly loved this house! Jan is definitely amazing and the house is awesome!!

Great group trip.

Took my diverse aged office staff to Destin as a thank you for their hard work. The house was wonderful. It even better than the pics. The pool and back yard was great especially on days when the little kids in our group were worn out from time at the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was able to accommodate all of our needs. Great property and would def stay here again!!!

Our Family Vacation

We had a little family reunion of 14 in this house and it met all of our needs. Rooms were spacious. Kitchen was a great meeting place and the wrap around porch was lovely! The winding staircase to 3rd floor was tricky but we managed. The pool was just the perfect size with plenty of chairs. My only concern was getting into the pool. For safety reasons, I wish there would have been a railing as we had elders with us. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect. Who can complain about 1 block to the beach. It was a fabulous house!

Perfect home/location for family vacation

Great, well equipped property for a family vacation with kids. The pool was excellent, clean and we loved how the house was set up with pool toys and floats, loungers, etc. Layout of the house was nice and we had everything we needed. Jan was excellent to work with, and we appreciated her clear and thorough communication. Great location for access to the beach. We rented the golf cart and enjoyed using it to cruise the neighborhood and shuttle back and forth to the beach. Hope to be back soon!

I was very pleased with this property. Everything was accurate to the listing and Jan was very pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed the privacy of our own pool.

Welcome to Gulf Breeze Vacations! We have three 5b beach houses that are steps to the ocean: Southern Sands, Ocean Retreat Villa & Beach Walk Retreat.
I'm Jan - lover of food, travel, exercise and meeting new people. My husband and I have adult twins in Atlanta; and most of our time we are in Destin.

The house is located in Crystal Beach, in the middle of everything, and a great home base. Destin Commons is a mile away with shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Turn west to go to HarborWalk, Okaloosa Island; or turn east to go to Silver Sands Premium Outlets, Baytowne Wharf and 30A.
The Crystal Beach neighborhood has lots of sidewalks that lead to the beach.

The house has everything you need! You have plenty to do while inside such as: foosball in the game area, television for streaming movies and books in the reading nook. There is a pub table in the game zone that you can enjoy board games, chess, cards, books and puzzles.
Outside, you can enjoy dining on the deck while overlooking the pool.
We provide beach gear for you to use during your stay such as: chairs, boogie boards, beach mats, wagon and more.
