The room was clean, the beach view was good. The first night we were there, the AC did not work, only way we were able to stay was due to weather being mild, otherwise I couldn’t have. We were happy with the condo but there were several things that was surprisingly wrong. The hall doors were off track, one loser door was just leaned against the wall and behind door in master bedroom there was fresh spackle were a hole must have been covered. And screen door to balcony in master room was off track. Not anything that totally ruined our stay but was unpleasantly surprised to see.

We had a great experience during our quick girlfriends’ getaway! The beach house was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view of the ocean. Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend — highly recommend!

Spring Break Vacation

This was a great condo for our family for the week. Very clean and good beds. Super close to the beach. Washer & dryer available if needed. The only downfalls were low water pressure(probably because it was on the top floor) and no door to the master bathroom. Other than those two small details we loved our stay!

The kitchen was stocked fair. The closet door to the pantry was off the hinges/track when we got there. It would’ve been nice to have more towels. Beds were comfortable and everyone had a great time!

A great family stay

The location was great and my family had a great time. The pantry door was disgusting and the master bathroom walls and shower needed extra cleaning. There was NO hairdryer in this place, which is expected even of the cheapest motel, so I was quite disappointed. The late check in and early check out were also a bummer. As long as you’re aware of all of these things, your time will be wonderful!!

Short Stay, With Gratitude

Property was as advertised. Enjoyed the gulf view daily. The property manager was exceptional. Easy to work with, made check-in a breeze. Had to leave early due to the death of a close friend. They went above and beyond my expectations at reimbursing all they could of our rental cost. Would highly recommend this property and have the upmost respect and gratitude for the property manager. Will stay again as soon as possible.

Not quite what we expected

Condo was decent. Adequate room and was clean. The pillows on the beds were very flat and had not been replaced in a very long time. Sheets were provided for the hideaway bed in the living room, but not a blanket or sleeping pillows were provided. And there was no broom and dust pan provided. Which made it hard to sweep up the sand that was continually on the floor. I had to purchase a pillow and blanket for our family that slept on the couch.

Nice stay, however...

The place was ok. A little grimy on the floors, feet got dirty within a half hour of walking around. Some maintenance issues with the unit, some were fixed some weren't able to be fixed during our stay. The property manager was great and prompt with addressing the issues. Offered a different unit but we were fully unpacked and felt that to be inconvenient. Very noisy neighborhood, leaf blowers, powered hedge trimmers, vehicles and beach teens screaming obscenities into the night well after midnight. Overall the place and views were nice but could be improved.

The location was fantastic. My only complaint is that we arrived on 4/17 and on 4/18 my husband left the reserved parking spot with our rental car. A young girl came into our unit within minutes of the car leaving. My Mom and I were still in it. It was like she assumed we were gone because the car left the parking space. She was very nervous and asked if we wanted extra knives and glasses. When I called the property management company (Southern Vacation Rentals) the woman on the phone refused to give me the girls name until I said that I was going to file a police report. The unit was not supposed to have housekeeping until the end of our stay on 4/24. Other than that, the location was great and we couldn't have asked for more.

Had next to nothing in it.

Prepare a run to the store, this place had next to nothing, no hand soap, no pot holders, no beach towels, one garbage bag, a few broken kitchen utensils, not even coffee filters or coffee to start you. You got a roll of scratchy toilet paper a roll of paper towels and a single serve of dish soap. Washer and dryer are on premise but you have to pay for them. Sliding doors have fallen off the hinges. Couches are old and worn out. You sink so far down to the ground in the love seat that you can’t get out. Water pressure in the shower is next to nothing, it barely trickles out. Great Location, just don’t expect much.

Too much deferred maintenance

Photo doesn't accurately reflect the condition of the property. Storm door at entry is difficult to shut due to interference with the frame, carpet is filthy, light out and all fan blades loose on living area ceiling fan/light, flush valve on guest bath toilet sticks open, panels missing from master vertical blinds, large hole in screen door in master, no door on master bath, recliner broken down, hole in arm of sofa, water filter in refrigerator needs replaced, night stands in master are wobbly, cable channels are lowest package possible. Such a shame since the view is great!

Beautiful View of the Ocean

This condo had a beautiful view of the ocean from it's balcony. It was very clean. We had an issue with getting into our condo when we arrived. I called the help desk and they were able to change the passcode on the lock pad. The person we talked to was very helpful and stayed on the phone with us until we were able to get into the condo. The water pressure was terrible. The master bathroom shower pressure was barely enough to get rinsed off. I called the help desk and they sent someone to repair it the next day. The shower head was replaced. It helped some with the water pressure but not much. The beds were hard as a rock and the master bedroom blinds for the master bedroom balcony door were broke. So anyone out on the balcony could see into the master bedroom. Overall, we had a good time and the condo worked for our needs. We would visit again.

Perfect Beachfront Location

The condo has amazing beach views. We sat on the balcony frequently to watch the waves rolling in. It is set up nicely with 2 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The couch also pulled out, but we did not use that. I noticed that there were only sheets for the couch and not any pillows or blankets. There were very basic essentials in the kitchen as far as dishes go. And don’t expect there to be much to get you started on your stay. There was one tiny trial packet each of dish soap and dishwasher tabs. One kitchen sponge, one kitchen towel and one roll of paper towels. There was not a pot holder. No salt or pepper, coffee or filters, cooking oil, or anything of that nature. When we arrived, I found several dishes that had been put away dirty, so I washed every dish in the kitchen. The drawer and cabinet liners were filthy and stained. I placed paper towels down on top of those. I alerted the management team of the dirty dishes and cabinet liners, but they did nothing to try to resolve the situation. I spent most of my first vacation day cleaning the dishes and cabinets. There was a significant pool of water underneath the sink upon arrival, but the sink was not actively leaking. The furniture is outdated, but comfortable. We stayed at this facility last summer as well. The condo facility is nice and clean. There is laundry available on each floor. BBQ grills are available near the pool. The pool area is nice and beach access is right there. I would stay at Emerald Isle again.

For the most part, this property was great. Very spacious, on beach but set back a little ways, nice set up with master bedroom on beach side. Nice balcony can be accessed from bedroom as well as living area, well set up living/dining area. Kitchen includes all the appliances needed. Plenty of towels were provided. Property in general seems well tended, unit and whole building. The pool was clean and enjoyable. There is no beach service (beach chairs/umbrella) included with this unit and you must either rent or bring your own chairs/umbrella. I incorrectly assumed that the service was included when I rented the condo, so keep this in mind when considering this unit. The unit does not have a washer and dryer in the condo, but does have a laundromat on the level just around the corner near the elevator if you need to wash anything. Many things are provided in the unit, but suggest including a hairdryer and vaccuum cleaner. Some negatives: The blinds in the master bedroom have some missing sections, so the sun comes up and hits you in the eyes in the AM. Could hang a towel or sheet over it if desired. The blinds also had no way to close what was remaining of the vertical slats. Also, the bathroom in the master suite does not have a door between the toilet and the rest of the bathroom/bedroom area, so the door to the whole bedroom must be shut to have privacy when using shower or toilet.

Great stay, only a couple issues

I had a great experience, the first day we got there the lock to the door broke, and they came out right away and fixed it. I had 2 issues. 1. There was this blue almost like cake type frosting that was on the carpet, was on the bed sheet and was in the sink of the kitchen. The lady did change the sheet and did try and clean it out of the carpet but my issue was how did it get there? Did someone not check the room before they said it was good? The other issue I had was the master bedroom. There’s a door to walk in and when you walk into the bathroom the toilet/ shower part of it did not have a door.. so when you were using the bathroom the other person could hear you the whole time. I feel like there should’ve been a door there. Other than that it was amazing and if I can find the same deal I did this year for next year I will stay there again. I had an amazing time and the crew was super nice. I dunno what that ladies name was that came and fixed the door but she needs a raise. She went above and beyond for us and we really appreciated that. Thank you. -Jason

The balcony view was amazing! The pool and amenities were nice and clean. The overall area was beautiful- but the condo itself needs some work. The carpet was absolutely disgusting. Tons of stains and wear and tear. But overall we loved our stay.
