Very pleasant house in a great location

The Zuwe vacation house is a clean and comfortable house with a very private and roomy backyard. The bedroom layout is unusual, 2 single bedrooms are accessed through a double bedroom, but the beds and pillows are all very comfortable. The full bathroom upstairs is roomy with a nice shower. The kitchen is well stocked (cookware, dinnerware, flatware etc) for home cooked meals. The location is great for day trips, most places are within an hours drive, for Amsterdam we suggest Amsterdam arena P&R, very easy. There is a website (I’m not allowed to post a link) that explains how you can park for €1 and get cheap public transport tickets into the center of town. If you would like to spend a day on the water, Ottenhome has several options for boat rentals. One minor inconvenience is that the parking is in the Ottenhome parking lot, which does tend to completely fill up during corporate events. These events never lasted past 9:00pm, and we didn’t experience noise or other nuisance other than the parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kortenhoef and wouldn’t hesitate to rent the house again.

Schönes Ferienhaus am See

Liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit gepflegter Terrasse und Garten. Alles tiptop im Ordnung. Genug Zimmer, so dass nicht alle Kinder in einem Raum schlafen müssen. Möglichkeiten für Bootfahren und leckeres Essen direkt vor der Tür.

Pure Idylle

Das Haus hat eine super idyllische Lage am See und ist direkt um Ecke von Amsterdam - perfekt Kombination zwischen absoluter Ruhe und Großstadt-Feeling! Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und der Garten bietet Entspannung pur. Das Haus ist etwas abgewohnt, allerdings ist der Zustand noch okay. Die Vermieter sind mega nett und unkompliziert. Kortenhoef ist im jedem Fall ein Besuch wert!

Familienurlaub am See

Wir wurden herzlich von Yolanda empfangen. Kommunikation war im Vorfeld sowie für die Zeit des Aufenthalts problemlos. Das Haus liegt neben einen Restaurant inkl. Bootsverleih (trotzdem sehr ruhig). Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten sind in der Umgebung - ob per Auto, Boot oder Fahrrad. Der gepflegte Garten mit großer Terrasse lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Betten waren alle neuwertig und bequem. Wir hatten eine schöne Woche hier.

Tolles Haus am See

Rundum zufrieden mit der Auswahl des Hauses. Super Ausflüge mit Motorbooten und Schwimmausflügen auf dem See gemacht. Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin reibungslos. Wir würden das Haus wieder mieten.

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Danke Yolanda. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Und sehr gut geschlafen da sehr ruhig. Schöne Gegend mit viel Wasser drumherum. Größere Städte (Amsterdam,Utrecht,Hilversum)schnell zu erreichen. Wurde uns alles von Yolanda erklärt auf Deutsch!!. Das waren vier schöne Tage. Kann man nur empfehlen!!. Merci beaucoup Yolanda!!.

Wonderful family vacation

Located a few feet from a nice harbor where you can grab a meal or a drink a watch beautiful sunsets, the house was located conveniently to many cities (you’ll need a car) or stay local and go sailing, SUP, motorboat or swim in the clear water. Good sized house was clean, beds comfortable, had all basic necessities. We had a wonderful holiday visiting family and sightseeing. Went sailing and boating.. Beautiful mini golf course and pannekoeken nearby. Thanks, Yolanda!

Gorgeous spot with clean, lovely home

The location is perfect for water lovers - next to the marina with beautiful sunsets. The home is clean, efficient & can accommodate a family well. The yard, outdoor seating & firepit are amazing. The marina is a great spot to rent boats & explore the beautiful country-side, whilst also being very central to visit other spots. The one consideration that may not be as clear on the site is accessiblility. Parking is at a public lot for the marina & requires walking through a busy marina to get to the house. The marina hosts big events most days in high season, so there may be noise into the evening, which may be a surprise to some families. It wasn’t disturbing once we got used to it. And the home has VERY steep stairs to the main bathroom & bedrooms, apart from the master, so elderly & little kids may neeed help. Overall, we loved it & would return.

Comfortable vacation home in a beautiful area

We stayed just over two weeks in this lovely home. It is about 25 minutes drive from Schiphol airport, situated next to a marina. The house has a private garden which is what you view from the downstairs living room. Our host, Yolanda, was there on time to welcome us and show us around the home - she is very hospitable and answered all our questions. The house is well-equipped with bedlinen and towels provided. The kitchen is also fully equipped. You will be able to prepare all meals there. The house is very clean and quite spacious. The main bathroom is upstairs and there is an open plan double room also upstairs with two single rooms leading from it. There is a double bedroom downstairs plus study and laundry. The beds are very comfortable and we all had the best nights' sleep. The place is an ideal location for so many activities. We had bikes for the whole period. You can rent bikes in the local village - Kortenhoef. There are many beautiful bike tracks along side rivers, through woods and into picturesque little villages. You can also rent boats or paddle boards next door or have a drink or food at the cafe next door to watch the sun go down. Although it can get rather busy at the marina, we were not bothered by it at all. We always got a park. We went into Amsterdam a few times. We parked at Parking Centrum Oosterdok - which is good value, easy to get to and not far from Amsterdam Central Station. So I don't hesitate to recommend Yolanda's home - we loved it!

Great home, great location

We had a very enjoyable stay in this very confortable and well equiped home. The surroundings are very nice for walking, biking and sailing on the beautiful Wijde Blik just outside the house (also a paradise for birds lovers). It is also ideally located to visit Amsterdam (only 25 min drive), Utrecht (about the same) and 50 minutes drive from the marvellous Hoge Veluwe National Park and the fantastic Van Gogh collection at Kroller Muller Museum. Maison comme neuve bien équipée et accueillante

Le plus : les lits faits en arrivant, merci ! Quatre nuits fin décembre à six. Très agréable de retrouver la maison après des visites aux alentours : Amsterdam à 25 mn, La Haye à une heure, Utrecht à 30 mn et le parc du Kröller-Müller à 50 mn. Un lave linge et un sèche linge, un lave vaisselle, un frigidaire et un congélateur, un four micro ondes et combiné, une cuisinière, une machine à café et une bouilloire. Des dosettes pour la machine à laver la vaisselle, d’autres pour le lave linge, des sachets de thé et café sont à disposition. Les lits sont très confortables. La salle de bain comporte une baignoire, une douche et un WC. Il y a un autre WC indépendant avec lave mains au rez-de-chaussée. La chaudière marche très bien pour le chauffage et l’eau chaude. Le salon est immense. Le truc à savoir : se garer au club nautique, la maison est au fond du club.

Spacious house with a garden

This was our first trip to the Netherlands. The house was just right for us and the three teenage boys. The boys even got their own rooms! Getting to Amsterdam is easy with a car and a short ride on a commuter train. If we had more time, we would have tried boat rental next door and beach nearby. Thank you, Yolanda and please thank your valiant 9 year old helper!

Clean, comfortable, good location

Good location for visiting Amsterdam and nearby towns. Loved that we were at a marina. Lovely sunsets. Good food at dockside. The house is very private and suitable for a vacation from the city. The only drawback was that the shower was on the second floor and the stairs were very steep and narrow which made it difficult for us elderly grandparents. However, the grandkids loved their separate cozy bedrooms just off their parents room upstairs. Yolanda was most helpful and welcoming.

Excellent Location

The home itself is in a very serene spot. The lake is beautiful and the backyard is relaxing in the afternoon sun. We were literally 30 minutes away from downtown Amsterdam and its many attractions. Driving was easy, at least until you got into the middle of the city. The Keukenhof was also easy to reach by car. Thank you Yolanda for making our Spring Break memorable.

Wonderful experience just a short ride from other great cities

We are a family of 6 who got the best of both worlds: retreat excursion and cities. Yolanda was very helpful and reliable. The house was perfectly stocked and the amenities are great. Nice decor and great to have a real house to stay in! Here is why we loved it: 1) SURPRISE-- a water front, full & excellent restaurant/bar is on the other side of the marina--which is outside the home fence. 1 minute walk. Don't want to cook? Want to try amazing dishes? It's right there at Ottenhome (the community restaurant outdoor adventure club). Want to grab a drink with your hubby and walk home? EASY. Loved the kipje sate (hope that's spelled right), it's an Indonesian chicken sate. Also loved the ribs! Again, it was an added bonus. 2) The views from outside the house in the marina were gorgeous. Beautiful sunsets at the fenced marina are outside the house, literally. In the charming grassy backyard, you can sit on the relaxing patio chairs and benches to relax without water access risks for children. 3) Short (I think around 12 min) rides into Amsterdam by your own car (parking is free in lot by house) and Utrecht. Great cities but also very busy. We wanted to experience the real charm of the Netherlands. The homes around this community are darling and we felt like we got to enjoy more than what we would have just in Amsterdam. We also loved our trip to Gouda. 4) Adventure! We took the family on a canal boat ride. No license needed. You can get a row boat super cheap (like 10 Euros) but we opted for the motorized one that was around 95Euro for 3 hours, prices vary can be cheaper or more. The boats and kayaks are right outside the fence of the house for rent at the Ottenhome club. Easy, super fun and convenient. 5) Master downstairs. Upstairs has 2 single mattress bedrooms with doors that close, other 1 bedroom is a large open area in front of those doors after turning left from stairs with a full bed or 2 twins. Things to consider: 1) There is a very steep staircase. Our kids did navigate it well, but it initially freaked me out. If a child is under 3, I would ask the owner the height of the handrail to ensure that your child could actually hold on to it while climbing up. 2) You do probably need a car to enjoy all of the wonderful cities around the area IF you are going for more than a few days. IF your hope is to have a short retreat, you could totally hang at the marina restaurant and do water activities and relax in the backyard. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Super séjour !

Très belle location au bord du lac, calme et très bien située : en 15 minutes en prenant le train à Weesp (parking gratuit), vous êtes au cœur d'Amsterdam ! Maison très bien décorée et équipée avec une literie très confortable. Excellent accueil de Yolanda qui nous a fourni de précieux conseils pour nos vacances. Le top ! Merci beaucoup Yolanda.

excellent séjour

Nous avons passer un excellent séjour dans cette maison .A toute proximité possibilité de louer un petit voilier , de canoter dans des lacs tranquilles , de faire du vélo le long du Vecht ( joli rivière) ou d'aller à Amsterdam par le train en utilisant des parkings gratuits à Bussum. La maison est bien équipée et convient à deux couples plus 2 enfants.L'accueil est très chaleureux. De plus la météo était de la partie.

This is a fantastic location with amazing scenery.

This was our second stay was better than the first because we knew exactly what Yolanda's house is like. The house is extremely comfortable, spacious and welcoming and is set in superb lakeside setting and although it was late November going December it is beautiful, must be stunning in the summer! Yolanda is a fantastic host ensuring our stay went without issue. Cannot recommend Yolanda's house enough
