Wonderful House, Poor Management
The house, its location and lay-out is wonderful. The management is not.
Several lights in the house were out (above the kitchen range, next to the couch and broken outlets in a main bedroom). We had purchased and paid for 5 days pool heating a month in advance of our arrival, but the pool heating was not on. We promptly let Vacasa know of this and the other issues by text and voicemail. The only response was that a team member had been alerted who will contact us shortly.
We had not received any follow-up the next morning so we contacted them again with the same result. Nothing happened. We had to repeat that multiple times before the heat was turned on at the end of the 2nd day. In the course of our 2nd day one light bulb was replaced and finally at 5pm of the 2nd day someone came out to turn on pool heating. It took another day for the other bulbs and light fixture to be repaired.
Vacasa did not volunteer to give a credit for their failure to turn on the pool heating prior to our arrival. We had to escalate our request for credit. Even then Vacasa would only give a 2-day credit, while the pool was not usable until our 4th day, leaving us 2 days to use it, but paying for 3 days. We had to escalate our request to corporate for Vacasa to do what was right.
The house is wonderful, but at the rates charged we expected responsive and responsible management, as we have experienced in renting homes of this caliber over the last few decades, but not here.
