It took us a second to figure out the parking and front door, but we did. You park very close to the front door, which is great if you have a lot to carry. The property was spacious and clean. You will not forget any of the rules as they are posted everywhere, ha. It was very nice to find shampoo/conditioner body wash. There was also cold water and frozen ice cubes in the refrigerator. After working all day, that was very appreciated. There are AC units in all the rooms, which was nice. The beds are very very firm. We did not enjoy that, but if you like firm mattresses, you'll appreciate the beds (that is very personal and not meant to be a complaint). We did not use the lanai/bbq area, but it's quite large if you're planning to do so. The host was prompt in returning my one question and nice. Other than the beds, we would have no reason not to return. Overall, great place.

We’re sorry that you did not find the mattresses beds as you expected, but as we have tried to find a happy mattress for everyone, the four mattresses are less than a year old so most likely, they are not 100% broken. We strive to provide the best for our guests. We will keep looking into better and best mattresses and find the right spot mattress for everyone. Place was immaculate. Owner obviously takes a lot of pride in keeping things clean and organized. About a 15 minute walk to a beach with fun waves for the teenagers and a life guard for my peace of mind. Nice touches too like wireless chargers next to bed stands and beach stuff in the back.

Amazing time

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We love it because it is in a quiet neighborhood, very close to great beaches, and the trees and property are so beautiful. There are birds everywhere because of all the trees and plants. The lanai is shaded and spacious. Rosalba is always available by phone if you need anything and she has great advice on beaches and places to go.We would definately choose this property again.

The cleanest rental we have ever stayed in!

The house is amazing! It was squeaky clean and super well equipped! I have never seen a cleaner short-term rental! The cleaning people are not cutting corners! They clean everywhere and not only the visible parts. The kitchen was amazing! It is fully equipped and has everything you will need. I loved that all cooking pots were stainless steel and not flaky non-stick. The decorations are also very pleasing. The location is also great - walking distance to Magic Sands Beach and to a kid-friendly snorkeling place. We cannot wait to get back!

Immaculate, Well-Appointed Stay Near Two Stunning Beaches

Everything about this property met or exceeded our expectations. Rosalba is a wonderful host. We received clear communication and she has done a phenomenal job to ensure that guests have everything they need at the property. The house was very clean and everything was well labeled so we weren’t searching for items. The bathrooms have great shower pressure and include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. Each bedroom has its own air conditioning unit and we all found the beds to be comfortable. The commons areas are climate controlled as well and provide ample seating for the entire family for meals or relaxing. It was wonderful to sit on the lanai and listen to the birds. Basic beach equipment is available in the shed including (large) coolers, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. The neighborhood is very quiet and well situated. It is a 15 minute walk to Magic Sands Beach (boogie boarding if you’re a competent swimmer) in one direction and the pristine reef at Kahalu’u Beach in the other direction. We appreciated being away from the crowds of Kona town but enjoyed the easy drive into town for dinners. This unit is on the second floor, accessed through an inside staircase. The lower units appear to have their own entries although were not occupied during our stay. We highly recommend this property and will definitely book again on our next trip.

Pleasant condo close to the beach

It was hot while we were in Kona, so we really appreciated the air conditioner in the living room. Kitchen was reasonably furnished but toaster didn’t work. Neighbors didn’t get the quiet hours memo. Bedrooms had closets but no drawers for clothes. We would have liked more directions for appliances. Trees and yard wete beautiful.

Relaxation information Kahaluu Bay!

We had a great relaxing time in Rosalba’s place. The pictures and descriptions were accurate. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The house had plenty of room for five of us. The lanai, porch was a great spot to chill with table, and chairs for all. Rosalba answered all my questions quickly and was helpful with suggestions. We had a car and drove to the two beaches near the house but it was possible to walk. She also had chairs, umbrellas, masks and snorkels for us to use at the beach. For a family, a great spot to spend time in Kona. We would definitely return. Scott

Perfect. Rosalba ohana had everything we needed or could want. The location was ideal.

The ohana was clean and well furnished. Plenty of space for six people. The veranda was an evening hit. We will visit again.

Comfortable Ohana

This ohana is very comfortable, clean, and very well-equipped. Nice kitchen - easy to find everything because she's thoughtfully labeled the cabinets. Wonderful long lanai with grill. Lots of equipment for beach activities. More towels than we could use. Ceiling fans in every room for comfort. The only downsides are the close proximity of noisy neighbors and the slow, heavy traffic on the main streets on this part of the island. Still, things did quiet down after 9 PM, and the traffic is not apparent from the lanai.

Wonderful vacation home

This vacation home was perfect for us. We enjoyed the big deck and all of the extras the house was stocked with. It was within walking distance to the ocean which was important to us. We would highly recommend this house and would stay again. The owner was great at responding to messages and had everything we needed lined up for our stay.

Aloha! My name is Rosalba. I love animals and the outdoors. The best medicine is the natural Vit D from being in the sun all day, feeling the breeze , falling in to a muddy pot hole, going for a bike ride , going for a joy ride, a road trip, a walk with the dogs, going for any trail and hike it, and going for a run ...just about anything makes me happy :) Just being outside is enough for me. I first visited the Island of Hawaii in 2008 and immediately fell in love with the people and the island. The first thought that came out of my mouth was, "Wow, I can retire in here." I'll eventually reach that dream, but in the mean while, I want to share my home with others that want to visit the island and hopefully my guests fall in love with the island and its people like I did!
