Welcome to Kona! We're thrilled to have you stay in our spacious, townhouse-style condo.

As you'll discover, the location is truly unbeatable. You're just steps from the ocean and a short walk to the heart of Kona. Plus, the condo boasts amazing ocean views from both floors. Despite being close to town, the complex is tucked away from the main street, offering a quiet and serene setting.

The space
We hope you'll enjoy waking up to stunning ocean views and sipping coffee on your private lanai off the master bedroom. It's the perfect spot to observe humpback whales, spinner dolphins, and other marine life.

**First Floor:**

* **Full Kitchen:** Equipped with a gas stove, full refrigerator, coffee makers, all necessary dishware, glassware, utensils, and more.

On July 21 we arrived the Kailua-Kona just after 4 PM and discovered we had the dates wrong when we opened the door and it was not clean. We immediately closed the door and we then contacted the owner to see if it was possible to get it cleaned and pay for that night. He said he could not get it cleaned but offered to let us go to Walmart and get supply’s and clean it ourselves if we wanted to. We thanked him and said no we were tired and just wanted to crash.The next day (July 22) we arrived back at the condo at about 4:15. Upon entering we were not happy with the cleanliness of the condo. We contacted the owner and let him know and told him he could re rent it to someone else if he wanted.This is what we found. The toilet bowls were clean on the inside but not the outside. There was black mold around the shower. The carpet was filthy. (no way could you take your shoes off). All of the a/c filters were in really bad need of a good cleaning. We had my 5-year-old great grandchild with us and didn’t want to expose her to the mold and how do you keep a child off the floors. He offered to send someone over the next day to re clean. We said no thanks. We sent pictures via the web site so the owner could see what we found.The pictures on the site make the place look really nice. However, the living room curtains were full of holes. The pretty Hawaiian print on the sofa was gone. It was replaced by some dingy Tan knit covers. It was no up to the standard we exp

This property was perfectly located for walking to town and had a nice view of the ocean. Alex and Tiffany were wonderful and accommodating. We had everything that we needed at the condo, from supplies to comfy beds. We would stay here again.

Great place for a family vacation!

The owner was awesome with his communication. We struggled with the VRBO platform, but he was patient, and helped us through the process. Once we arrived, we were thrilled with the accommodations. Walking distance to all the cool places, as well as to the beach. Sunset views from the balcony. Thank you for the perfect place to lay our heads!

Worst place would not recommend.

This is a condo with lots of stairs, it was smelly and the air conditioning did not get cold, battteries dead in remote and blow up bed not adequate for adults. Only stayed one night out moved to King Kam hotel.

Great location, low stress Kona rental

We stayed for a week and a half and loved the location of this condo. We'd stay again! It's walking distance to the heart of Kona. Most of the shops and restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk, and it's less than a mile from the pier, I believe. The owner, Alex, is very helpful and has great communication. We really liked the pool too. The trees and plants around the pool give it a secluded jungle feel - very nice! The only (minor) issue we had with the property was that the washing machine in the condo was broken during our stay, which happens and is understandable. It was just somewhat inconvenient for us because we'd specifically sought out a rental with a washer - the number of towels alone a family of four needs while enjoying the island is significant. There's a laundromat on site in the condo complex, but the hours are limited and caused us to have to change our plans to be around during the time it was open so that our kids had clothes and towels for the day. I believe the washer was being replaced after we left, so it's likely no longer an issue. Also, the unit and condo complex are a bit on the older side (but clean!). If you don't need the most luxurious accommodations, this is a good value for the price.

Nice condo in a great location. Communication was smooth and easy. Would recommend increasing the silverware, cooking items in the kitchen. That would make the stay a bit more comfortable. Overall a very nice place.

Great stay in Kona

Family of 5 - place was a great home base for exploring the big island. Beautiful views, especially from the master bedroom balcony. Walked to town for coffee every morning (~8min walk). Pool was warm and welcoming. Washer/dryer came in handy. Easy check in / check out. Would recommend and would stay again!

OK Stay but missing some major amenities

The stay was OK but some major "amenities" were not available. The internet service in the unit does not work properly. The on-site manager was fast to respond but only to note that the internet issues are a common occurrence that most guests experience. You have to reset the modem every 10-15mins to keep it working. Basically useless. Also we found out that the washer was broken and would not be useable for our stay. There is an onsite washer, but we would have to get quarters from a local shop, then do the wash, then bring it back to the unit to use the dryer. Very inconvenient and we just wanted to wash our stuff while we were out having fun. I did try to compromise with the owner and ask for a very small refund due to the lack of service we were expecting, but the owner was not accommodating. So just be careful when renting in case something is not working, it probably wont be fixed and you wont be compensated for the issues.

L'annonce était alléchante pour un groupe familial de 5 personnes suffisamment de couchage (6). Il n'y a que 3 lits et un matelas gonflable pour 2. Rien de cela n'est précisé dans l'annonce et comme le dit le loueur il y a effectivement 6 couchages mais en revanche de la vaisselle pour 4. Si le le logement en lui-même est des plus correct l'attitude et la réaction du loueur sont pour lemoins décevantes. Dommage !

Often referred to as Kona by locals, Kailua-Kona is a beautiful seaside town in the heart of the Kona district. Set on the western coast of the Big Island, it’s a sunny spot with white-sand beaches where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. Once a sleepy fishing village, this sun-soaked part of the island is only a few miles south of Kona International Airport. One of the best ways to experience this area and its spectacular island views is by taking a leisurely stroll along the picturesque waterfront. This unit is 5-10 minute walk to the historic downtown Kailua-Kona Ali’I Drive. Ali’I Drive is where you would find locally owned businesses: popular restaurants and bar like “On the Rocks” and “Hugo’s”, Voyager of the Pacific Luau, surf shops, charter boat rental, shaved ice store, farmers market etc.
