Part of the prestigious Vila Turística Cavalhadas House, this authentic 100 m² country house combines the cultural richness of the Azores with unmatched comfort and tranquility. The themed décor pays a beautiful tribute to local heritage and the centuries-old tradition of the Cavalhadas de São Pedro in Ribeira Grande, creating an exclusive and immersive atmosphere.

With the capacity to comfortably accommodate 4 to 6 guests (with 1 cot also available upon prior request), the house features a welcoming open-plan living and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essential appliances for preparing family meals, complemented by a convenient full laundry room with machines, ideal for short or extended stays. To ensure your maximum comfort in any season, the space has air conditioning throughout and high-speed Wi-Fi across the whole property.

The house has two bright bedrooms that accommodate 4 guests: a master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds, perfect for children or friends. There is also the option to comfortably add two more folding beds (90x190cm) in the living room, to accommodate up to 6 guests.

The modern bathroom has a refreshing shower, fresh towels, and a hairdryer for your total convenience.

Outdoors, the real magic happens. Set within a vast 10,000 m² agricultural estate, set back 60 metres from the main road, the house ensures a safe, private, and absolutely silent environment. The outdoor space invites you to socialise, offering a barbecue area and a fantastic fire pit for unforgettable evenings under the stars. There is also a private, supervised car park within the property.

Whether you are looking for complete relaxation, quality family time, a peaceful base for exploring São Miguel, or easy access to the island's best waves, this house offers a rare combination of privacy, nature, comfort, and authentic Azorean character.

Guests will have exclusive access to the house, including the private garden and outdoor dining area. The home is part of a cluster of three houses, each offering its own private retreat.

Located on the picturesque Rua da Saudade in Ribeira Grande, this property offers the perfect balance between the immersive tranquillity of the island's interior and immediate proximity to the ocean and essential services. The surroundings of the extensive agricultural estate let you wake up to fresh country air and enjoy a superb panoramic setting, with a direct view of the majestic mountain and inactive volcano of Lagoa do Fogo.

Beyond the unmatched peace and privacy, everyday convenience is one of the great highlights of this address. Just 200 metres away, you will find a restaurant that offers home delivery — perfect for those who don't want to leave the house — and a supermarket, ensuring you have everything you need within a short walk. For sea and adventure lovers, the location is a true privilege: it is only 800 metres from the famous Praia do Areal de Santa Bárbara, the great Azorean surfing capital.

This address is undoubtedly one of the most strategic bases for discovering the greatest wonders of the "Green Island". Via fast, scenic access roads, a journey of just 20 minutes by car separates you from the vibrant city of Ponta Delgada and its airport. Its central location allows you to easily reach the impressive Gorreana tea plantations, immerse yourself in the thermal waters of Caldeira Velha, or plan unforgettable visits to Sete Cidades (to the west) and Furnas (to the east). It's the perfect starting point to combine coastal adventure with the peace of nature!

The property is easily accessible by car.

The nearest bus stops are approximately 2 to 5 minutes on foot, with connections to Ribeira Grande, Ponta Delgada, and other areas of São Miguel Island.

As São Miguel Island does not have a railway network, transportation is primarily by car, bus, taxi, or car hire.

João Paulo II Airport (PDL) is approximately 25 to 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
