I do like to observe, makes me forming ideas about people, animals and things in life. I do like teaching because it passes on the little I know to the one he wants to know what I know. I like to write lyrics for songs to be sung and offered to those who may enjoy them. I like to sleep because mostly is always good to dream.
I love the Azores because they offer a divine beauty, this spot of the world embrace me with their nature, and surprise me with his characteristics. I like good wine, because I am a son of Earth, I like football even still do not knowing why. I like the sun because it warms me up, I love a good joke to wake up or drive away the melancholy or the routine. The well being of my 'guests' worries me, I feel good sharing with others my little corner planted by the sea.

I am not living on S. Miguel or in Portugal, but in the Netherlands. I left Portugal very young, 18 years old, alone, living my family behind, my country and my friends. A choice I had to make, to achieve a better live.
All my family comes from the Azores, S. MigueI. I always remember as a child, my parents homesickness talks about they're home land. They had left the Azores to the mainland, Lisbon where I was born in 1955, and they never went back to the Azores! 18 years ago I have made my first visit to the land of my parents and please believe-me, it was a wonderful feeling during my first steps on the island. I felt home and yet never had been there before! A year later me and my dutch wife decided to by our little place, planted at the sea. Every time we can, we spend some time there, the time left, we like to share it with people by renting it, with everyone who wants to enjoy the Azores.

So unfortunately I believe I will not be there to meet you! I will get in touch by phone just after your arrival and again a few days later to make sure you will have everything to your liking.

In the spring your certainly will enjoy both: The sunny terrace and the crackling fire during the romantic evenings. This atmosphere will certainly be even more romantic thanks to the whistling of the many birds, the nearest waterfall and the always present Atlantic ocean.
