Carcassonne Atelier is a charmingly authentic French house in a quiet residential area of central Carcassonne. The house has been lovingly restored to an exceptional standard with an eye to comfort and luxury. Undergoing a full renovation in 2025, old character has been brought back to life, with the addition of all the modern comforts a visitor expects such as air-conditioning. Original features are highlighted alongside a thoroughly modern kitchen diner and luxury bathrooms, plus a sought-after garden terrace.

Located in a quiet street in one of Carcassonne's popular residential neighbourhoods, situated between Bastide Saint Louis and the riverside, you'll live amongst locals whilst be walking distance to all Carcassonne's main tourist attractions.

Comfortably sleeping six, in two doubles and one twin room, The Atelier is the perfect base for exploring Carcassonne with family and friends. Bedrooms are air-conditioned for a guaranteed good nights sleep, and the large number of outdoor and indoor communal areas allow for group socialising and get-away-from it-all relaxing. The house has a sheltered garden with full outdoor kitchen and BBQ, dining and seating areas, a vast open-plan kitchen diner and two separate lounges.

Bathrooms are newly fitted, with a large en-suite with gorgeous bath and shower, and a large shared bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The whole house has Fibre Optic high-speed internet with dedicated routers on all floors. Off season, the Atelier guarantees a warm welcome with brand new double glazing, electric heating and fire.

The ground floor offers an entry into a long bright corridor leading to the spacious kitchen dining room and out into the calm and relaxing garden area.

To the left of the entrance vestibule is reading room, perfect for games, reading or just relaxing with a glass of wine. To the right is the large, comfortable TV room with Smart TV and speaker, so you can access all your favourite entertainment.

At the end of the corridor is a dining area with seating for six and a spacious, fully fitted kitchen and large island unit, with the top-of-the-line appliances, and a downstairs laundry and W.C. On arrival, you will find a welcome pack with local snacks and drinks, and a there will be a surprise in the wine cooler to help you settle in after a day's travelling.

Double doors lead out onto a private, secluded, garden and terrace, featuring seating and a dining table, a summer kitchen with gas BBQ, hot-water sink and food preparation area.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms, the largest with a comfortable seating area and a large, modern en-suite featuring a beautiful bath and a walk-in shower. There are two further generously sized bedrooms, one with a Queen double bed and one twin beds. All rooms feature elegant bedside lighting, USB sockets in the plugs and a range of antique and modern furnishings, A/C and heating. On the main landing is the second house bathroom with a large, modern walk-in shower, toilet, basin and storage unit.

The Atelier is ideally placed for the restaurants and amenities of the Bastide - with none of the noise and parking issues. Access to the medieval Cité can be enjoyed via a stroll down Boulevard Barbes, with its tree lined park and stunning church, or via the nearby riverbank. Summers can be enjoyed at the award-wining Pole Aqualudique swimming pool and spa complex and in the riverside parks with picnic areas, Petanque and tennis courts, outdoor gym machines, table tennis, skateboard and bike pump tracks.

Free on-street parking is possible in the residential streets. There is also a large free public car park at the riverside, 5-10 minutes walk from the Atelier, and good value paid parking on Boulevard Barbes.
