Sleeping five people in three bedrooms, this lovely home is surrounded by awe-inspiring countryside, making it an absolute dream for families or groups of friends in search of an adorable cottage to call home while they explore south Cornwall. Spend happy days exploring the iconic St Michael’s Mount or browsing the boutiques in Marazion, and in the evening, come home to the cottage, pour yourself a glass of wine and pull up a chair in the garden to watch the stars come out.

With its whitewashed exterior, this property presents itself as a picture-perfect cottage - and with its exposed beams, stone walls and wood burner – the interior certainly lives up to the cottage’s external charm. Step inside, sink onto a sofa and make yourself at home in front of the glowing wood burner. When it’s time to eat, head to the sleek kitchen area, whip up some dinner for your loved ones, and then host a cosy dinner in the dining room. Alternatively, head out to the courtyard garden, fire up the kettle BBQ and dine alfresco as you listen to the gentle babble of the creek at the bottom of the garden. At bedtime, head upstairs and take your pick from three charming bedrooms.

Get the gang together for a day on the water. Head to Helford Passage (1 mile), where you can rent everything from a stand-up-paddle-board to a motor boat. Alternatively, pack up a picnic and spend a blissful afternoon at the beautiful ravine at Trebah Gardens (1.5 miles). Or visit the orphaned and injured seals at the National Seal Sanctuary in the lovely village of Gweek (6.5 miles).
