Das Haus hat eine warme, gemütliche Atmosphäre und eine ausgezeichnete Unterkunft. Alle Empfangsräume und Schlafzimmer haben Meerblick. Das berühmte Lugger Hotel und das Ship Inn sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt.

Der Garten ist ein Highlight des Anwesens mit zwei Steinterrassen und einem Terrassenbereich mit Blick auf das Meer, den historischen Hafen und das Dorf. Der Flur ist ein denkmalgeschützter Kalkofen.

Es gibt drei Empfangsräume - einen gemütlichen Raum mit einem großen Fenster, in dem Sie sitzen und sich entspannen und das Meer beobachten können. Ein Wohnzimmer mit Sky +, iPod-Dockingstation und WiFi. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen Holzofen, vor dem Sie sich in den kälteren Monaten kuscheln können. Der Speisesaal bietet bequem Platz für bis zu 10 Personen. Es gibt ein Reisebett mit zusätzlicher Matratze, Wickelauflage, Treppentor und Hochstuhl.

Haustiere sind willkommen.

Sie können außerhalb der Garage neben der Unterkunft parken.

Cliff Garden is a Gem

We loved our stay at Cliff Garden. The cottage is filled with light, has a wonderful kitchen, the most comfortable beds, and is just steps from The Ship Inn for the best fish and chips! The cottage was larger than we needed as a family of 3 but made us realize that we will come back with friends next time! Our only wish was that our stay be longer!

Blissful retreat

We had the most amazing time at Cliff Garden, it super clean and very well equipped, for all occasion, needs and wants. The garden views are not to be missed, it’s a perfect base for exploring nearby beaches and other destinations. We loved our holiday there and hope to come back next year!

Very nice stay in Portloe

The cottage is nice, quite spacious and very near to the sea. Garden with a beautiful view. The only downside is the slight dampness. But overall we loved our stay.

Dear Bert, I am so glad you enjoyed the cottage and your stay in Cornwall. As we say in our notes on the house, the area as you enter is technically an outside space as this is the historic feature of the old lime kiln. Unfortunately as this does have rock walls it does appear damp from time to time, especially in the wet weather like we've been having. All of these old listed cottages do suffer from moisture as they are so close to the sea and we do also highlight this in our notes. I am glad that you still loved your stay. I am going to double check the property to make sure that the main accommodation is warm and dry. Best Wishes Fiona

Perfect retreat - will be back!

My friends and I had the most wonderful stay at Cliff Garden, visiting beautiful quiet beaches, eating excellent food in local restaurants. The area has something to offer for all the family and the house is so well equipped and comfortable, we felt very at home. Will definitely be back as we hear that there is going to be a new kitchen and decoration before Christmas. Can't rate this place highly enough - Portloe is such a gem.

Absolutely Perfect

We couldn't have found a better place to stay for our Cornwall vacation. The house was clean and beautiful and well-appointed, while still maintaining the old cottage by the sea charm. Lovely weekend break!

We had a lovely break here. Great communication from Fiona throughout booking. The home is very clean, comfortable and well-equipped plus the views from the bedrooms are amazing! Property is within a stones throw of the small harbour (perfect to give the dog a quick run) and the local pub with very friendly owner. Would absolutely recommend the property and the village.

Charming cottage in the middle of delightful port

The cottage proved ideal for 5 of us. We had good weather and were able to use the lovely gardens. It is also very useful to have the Luggers Arms so close and the two times we ate there were a success. For a special occasion (Mothering Sunday) the Driftwood along the coast towards Portscatho was excellent

I have let Cliff garden since 2005. We use the cottage as a family holiday home too so I have tried to make it really comfortable and a good place to stay to enjoy the best Cornwall has to offer. I like to think of Cliff Garden as a home way from home and hope you will too.

Portloe is a beautiful picturesque fishing village on the Roseland Peninsula. It has wonderful beaches and cliff walks. Local pubs and restaurants serve delicious cuisine. It is very peaceful yet you are able to travel to all the attractions of Cornwall quickly and easily. A bus service runs through the village to local areas which can be very handy.

The cottage is actually situated on the South West Coat Path with stunning cliff views - perfect for walkers, and their four legged friends.

The little harbour and beaches nearby are perfect for walkers, swimmers, anglers and professional sand castle builders.

The atmosphere of the cottage and its garden is such that it is the perfect place to unwind. The lovely sea air and listening to the waves is so relaxing. To sit up in the garden and look out over the sea has meant many guests have hardly left the property during their stay.

The house has a comfortable feel with top quality beds for a good nights sleep.

The friendly Ship Inn about 100 metres away serves good pub food. The little harbour is ideal for swimming or paddling as well as watching the boats go in and out. Freshly caught crab and lobster is readily available.
