Originally built by the Admiralty at the turn of the 20th century to house coastguard personnel and their families, this historic cottage retains much of its original character. Set just a few minutes’ walk from the tranquil shingle beach, Baytree Cottage offers sweeping views of the Solent, providing a beautiful backdrop to any stay. The cottage comfortably accommodates couples or families, blending coastal charm with modern conveniences, creating a cosy retreat for anyone wishing to explore the South Coast.

Hill Head Beach, just a short stroll from Baytree Cottage, is ideal for water sports enthusiasts, offering great conditions for sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. History buffs may find it fascinating that Hill Head was a pivotal loading zone during the WWII D-Day invasion. Today, the beach exudes peace, inviting visitors to relax by the shore and watch the boats navigating the Solent.

Nature lovers will find the nearby Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve a must-visit. This diverse wetland habitat is known for its birdwatching opportunities, drawing visitors to its marshes, reed beds, and meadows.
