True North ist nur wenige Gehminuten von The Nature Conservancy / Blagdon Preserve, ein schöner Wanderweg, der zu Stränden führt, Picknick-Bereich und eine Chance, Maine Wildlife wie Seehunde, Adler, Fischadler, Hirsche und vieles mehr zu sehen! Long Pond ist eine 5-minütige Autofahrt zum Schwimmen, Kajakfahren, Kanufahren und Paddel-Boarding, die alle am Pond's End über National Park Canoe & Kayak Rentals gemietet werden können. Echo See Strand und Strand Cliff Berg Wanderweg sind ca. 10 Autominuten von True North. Für eine schnelle Tour und einen leckeren Bissen zu essen, ist die Atlantic Brewing Company weniger als eine 5-minütige Fahrt, ein toller Ort zu besuchen und sehen, wie Maine Bier gebraut wird und dann Mittagessen in Mainley Meats ein saisonale Innen-und Outdoor-BBQ-Restaurant. Acadia National Park Eingang, in der Stadt Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor und Nordost Hafen sind alle 15 Minuten Fahrt. His vacation home is amazing! Very clean and had everything we need plus more. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of furniture for everyone to sit together in living and dining areas. Our family enjoyed this beautiful home to stay at for our vacation to Acadia National Park . The host Stephanie was very responsive . The home was spacious and extremely well stocked with everything you could ever want or need to make your stay even more wonderful . It was quiet, secluded and within 15 minute drive to Acadia National park. We enjoyed all of the amenities such as the outdoor fire pit with wood included , grill , game room and many pots and pans for cooking , bath towels . Honestly it was a wonderful stay and we would definitely go back again .

This was the best rental my family has used for vacation throughout New England. It was a perfect location for exploring the Bar Harbor area and Acadia National Park. Set back from the road, the property was quiet and welcoming for humans and animals. Well supplied for young children through adults. Definitely worth the price ( which actually was pretty low compared to smaller rentals!).

Excellent place to stay

This was on of the best VRBO rentals we ever used. House was conveniently located on 20 acres of great forest, very quiet, close to Acadia park and many local attractions. For 6 adults it was just perfect, 3 large bedrooms, very clean, kitchen had everything we needed ( I mean everything! - special thank you!). Very comfortable beds! Basement with many activities! After long hikes in Acadia it was very nice to cook home dinner and enjoy a cup of tea on the deck and a good movie with friends. Stephanie is great host, she responded to all my questions, right away, and we did follow many of her recommendations with great success. So, we had a dream vacation mostly because of this great property and Stephanie.

Home Away From Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at True North! The house is just lovely and had everything we needed! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfy and there was so much there to do that we could have just stayed in all week! There were so many toys and games for the kids and the adults. We really enjoyed the air hockey, pool and ping pong tables! We also enjoyed the fire pit and short nature trail in the backyard. In addition to the house being just perfect, Stephanie was an incredible host! She was so kind and helpful from sharing tips on things to do/see in the area to leaving a little welcome gift for us upon arrival. She, by far, is the best host we have ever had! Thank you Stephanie and family for sharing True North with us! We had a WONDERFUL stay!

Amazing house with quiet atmosphere

Our family spent a week in Maine and we LOVED the house. With the house being set back off the road and in a quiet area it was exactly what we were looking for, but it was also close enough to all activities in Acadia that we weren't spending our whole vacation drivig. The house was especially well furnished and supllied with all the little things like garbage bags, toilet paper, Ziploc bags, camp chairs, fire wood etc that just makes it nice to not have to worry about it. Stephanie was also a great host providing a welcome gift (we love SMORES) and a packet of information including tips for Acadia and the surrounding areas as well as places to eat. It was and amazing property for our vacation and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Loved True North

Loved True North, everything was charming, clean, and well stocked. Played a few games of pool in the game room and used the grill to boil lobsters from the co op. The home is also back in the woods off the main road a bit which isn't obvious from the pictures, and the extra privacy was a nice surprise.

I have been in the weekly rental business for over 15 years. I am a devoted mother to a wonderful 11 year old boy and 17 year old niece. We travel frequently and rent weekly rentals so I understand what people need and want in a rental home.

True North is located on historic Richardson family land that has been passed through many generations and has stayed within the family. It is a private 20 acre retreat allowing you and your family plenty of space to enjoy your vacation! We have a sun room, patio, balcony, game room, fire pit, horse shoes and outdoor playhouse. True North is within walking distance to a beautiful preserve providing hiking trails, picnic area, and beaches to explore the Maine coast and more.

We are located on the "quiet side" of Bar Harbor, within walking distance to the ocean and less than 5 miles to Long Pond and Echo Lake that provide canoeing and kayaking. True North is centrally located and less than a 10 minute drive to in town Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Northeast Harbor. Acadia National Park entrance is less than a 10 minute drive and Beech Cliff Mountain is 5 minutes from True North. We are 5 minutes from Atlantic Brewing Company where you can enjoy a tour and see how they make Island brewed beer and wine. You are encouraged to bring your bikes and ride on the beautiful carriage trails and enjoy a lobster at one of the three lobster pounds within a 5 minute drive.
