A CAPELA, Sintra - 18th Century Converted Chapel

Stay in a beautifully renovated chapel, originally constructed in 1789 and one of the cornerstones of Sintra. Private outdoor lounge and dining area with breathtaking mountain views of the Moorish Castle. Only 3 minutes walk to Sintra Station as well as the main meeting point for sightseeing tours. Walking distance to all the beautiful quaint cafes, shops and restaurants of Sintra’s old town.

Situated in the heart of Sintra, you are able to reach a variety of restaurants, antique markets, cafes and sightseeing sites very easily by foot. A wonderful food basked with local treats are provided on check-in. Ideal for couples looking for a romantic and unique experience, but equally suitable for a family of 4 (an additional queen size sofa bed can accommodate a 3rd and 4th person in the lounge area - the chapel consists of an open plan layout throughout and bedroom needs to be reached by stairs - see our photos). Brand new self contained kitchen with dishwasher and all mods and cons included - fridge, oven, stove, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher etc. Self contained bathroom with walk in shower and heating throughout the ground level. An electric cooling unit and fan is available for cooling in the summer. Large private sunny outdoor terrace with comfy lounge sofas to enjoy breathtaking views of the Moorish Castle.

We have a free parking spot in the street fronting A CAPELA for guests' exclusive use. Parking is at guests own risk, so please do not leave any belongings on display.

The chapel has steep stairs to access the mezzanine level where the master bedroom is located (no lifts) - please therefore take care using the stairs. If stairs are not preferred, then please look at our garden villa, as an alternative option.

Rules:
1) Children – unfortunately no children under 12.
2) Animals and Pets – no animals are allowed, as the owners have a number of cats, peacocks, chickens (and peacock chicks from time to time) which wander around freely throughout the estate. Please treat all our animals with care and kindness if they come and visit.
3) Events or gatherings – strictly no events, birthdays, wedding related or other gatherings are allowed, nor any commercial or wedding photography.
4) Outsiders – no unauthorised access to the estate to anyone not booked on the reservation.

No smoking or open fires allowed (smoking allowed outside on the terrace, but please disregard of cigarette buds appropriately).
