Les Brandes is perfect for a complete retreat from the pressure of daily life. Two lovely stones houses and a large heated private pool sit at the end of a track, surrounded by woodland and pasture.

The two houses offer great flexibility for a group of family or friends, with space for 9. If you are a smaller group you can rent one cottage for a reduced price but this offer is not available in July and August. The cottages will never be let independently of each other.

The space:
Les Brandes is two stone cottages, converted from old barns that are several hundred years old.

Walnut Cottage, the larger house, has a wonderful open plan living area with high ceilings, huge windows and a wood burner. Eight people can comfortably eat around the table inside, or on the balcony with views down the valley. The compact kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook for family and friends, including a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, oven, air fryer and a coffee machine.

Upstairs is a double bedroom with a charming Juliette balcony and a modern bathroom with an excellent shower. In the attic is a second bedroom with three single beds, a perfect hideaway for children.

The smaller house, Swiss Cottage, has a fabulous en suite double bedroom with modern bathroom, and a second double bedroom. Downstairs is a kitchen and bathroom, with a bath and shower. There is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
All 4 bedrooms have fans to keep cool in the warmer months.
The two houses offer great flexibility of space. Children love the thrill of the ‘dormitory’ in the attic, teenagers relish the possibility of having a house to themselves, or two families can enjoy a house each.

The houses are well equipped for young children. For sleeping, there is a travel cot, and a removable safety side for a single bed. In the bathroom is a set of steps for little people to reach the sink, a small seat for the loo, and a changing mat. For eating, there is a full range of melamine plates, bowls and cups, and children’s cutlery. A lovely original French high chair is perfect for smaller children. There are games and books in the main living area.

Les Brandes is all about the convivial enjoyment of sharing meals and wine with friends and family. Everything that you might need is provided for you to enjoy meals on the balcony, the patio or the beautiful main room in Walnut Cottage. The antique dresser is full of crockery, pretty serving dishes, cutlery and glasses. Outdoor crockery and glasses are available for use by the pool or for picnics in hidden nooks and crannies around the property.

The outside space at Les Brandes is truly special. A large swimming pool (10mx5m) is set between the two houses. Sun loungers, parasols and a swing seat are available for use and a lovely arbor with table and chairs offers shade and seclusion at the far end of the pool. This area catches the last rays of evening sun and is a wonderful place to enjoy an evening cocktail. Just below the swimming pool, on the edge of Walnut Cottage is a summer kitchen area and BBQ bar, perfect for the preparation of meals and using the Ninja BBQ. Beside the summer kitchen is lovely patio with a large table that seats 10, overlooking the pasture and the valley - the perfect spot for evening meals by candlelight.

If you are a smaller group and would prefer to just rent Walnut Cottage, the cost is €30 less per night than the advertised price. This discount is only available March-June and September-November. Please contact us with your preferred dates to arrange this. If you rent Walnut Cottage on its own, the utility room and downstairs bathroom in Swiss Cottage will be available to you. We never rent the cottages independently so you can be sure of total exclusivity for your stay.

Due to the age of the property, multiple steps and the uneven ground, we regret that it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
