This property simply was perfect. Spacious, well appointed with interesting art and furniture. A two story lovely garden that backs up to the ancient city wall. Location is great - short walks into city center yet not too chaotic. The host, Tom, was amazingly hands-on, engaging, helpful and communicative. Able to help without recommendations for just about anything. Can’t say anything negative - you do need to be able to do stairs.

Frankly this is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a VRBO and I have done over 20 in the states and abroad. Tommaso was remarkable welcoming us and saying goodbye. His house is well appointed with everything you could want in the kitchen, bath and living area. He provides recommended restaurants, sightseeing opportunities along with maps to all. The outdoor space in the middle of Florence in a gem. The San Niccolò district is wonderful with plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment close. Leave your worries behind and turn yourself over to Tommaso and his hospitality!

This apartment is a must stay if you come to Florence! From the artwork to the furnishings to the garden, it is the most unique and special experience. Tom was beyond helpful as a host, even making us dinner reservations and getting museum tickets. Definitely stay here!

Words can’t begin to explain how wonderful of an experience my family had in this beautiful home. Tom is an amazing host and person. On my birthday, Tom went out of his way to leave his favorite snacks at the door for me. My expectations were exceeded beyond belief. We spent all of the time we could enjoying the gorgeous garden and serene home. It was hard to leave! Would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect but suitable only if you are ok with stairs

If you are ok with stairs (four flights of stairs to get from street into the apartment), you need to stop looking and book immediately - it is the perfect stay.The apartment is beautiful and exactly as shown - in a residential location just outside of the busy/noisy downtown, but only a 10min walk to downtown and a mere 2 min walk to Piazzale Michelangelo.The host (Tom) is even better than the already ideal place - he goes out of his way to help and pamper you but is not overbearing - just ideal.Don't overthink it - just book - highly recommend.

Look no further!

Wow! We absolutely loved this very spacious, clean and modern apartment in Florence. The rooftop garden is truly special. Our host, Tommaso was exactly as you read in all the reviews. Super welcoming, responsive and helpful along the way. In a pinch, he helped us line up travel to Cinque Terre because the train workers happened to be on strike that day. Walk to everything Florence from this spot. Can't recommend this apartment enough if you want an authentic Florence getaway.

Beautiful property; Excellent host!

This property is located just outside of the tourist-filled parts of Florence, but within walking distance of anything you will want to see. It has good restaurants right nearby, for a quick cappuccino in the morning, a quiet drink before turning in, or an easy meal if you dont want to go downtown.As you walk up to the first door to the apartment, you cannot imagine the beauty that awaits a couple floors up. Once you arrive at the apartment and see the well furnished and beautifully decorated rooms, you will make your way to the back where the garden awaits. Here you have your own private garden which is enclosed by the old city wall of ancient Florence. Tom has taken great care to make this private garden one of your favorite places to be in Florence.The apartment itself is only surpassed by the hospitality and availability of the host. He was not only responsive to our questions, he was proactive in getting us all the information we would need to make our time in Florence as easy as could be. He met us at the door to make sure we got in without any hindrances, showed us how to work the appliances, and was there when we left to see us off. He is, by far, the best host we have ever had.To sum up this review; definitely recommend! And if we have the opportunity to return, this will be where we stay again.

Loved our stay! Apartment is far enough to be quiet but walking distance to the excitement. The apartment is meticulous. The garden is just perfect for coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The bedrooms have very good air conditioning. The jewel of staying at this place, however, is the owner, tom. Tom is extremely passionate about having guests at his family home and it is clear from the get-go. He communicates frequently and makes sure that you have everything you need. He has done an amazing job making the apartment user friendly for guests including videos how to operate the appliances. Make sure to book a pasta making class with Gloria - Tom will assist!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE

First off, while the photos are great they do NOT do justice to this place. It is incredible in every way. We stayed with our daughter and her firmed and it was perfect. A 10-25 minute walk EVERYWHERE you would want to go.The home has all you need to start off on the right foot. Our host was OUTSTANDING. Best check-in/out experience and very accessible via WhatsApp.All the suggestions for dinners/sites were helpful.Hands down the inside was perfect but the OUTSIDE gardens were remarkable.Every morning we had our coffee there smelling the amazing floral scents from the terrace and listening to the birds.peaceful for sure. It was like being transported to another world/time.We WILL be coming back here.The Bardini gardens are down the street and the beautiful lookout fromPiazalle Michaelangelo is maybe 500 feet away. Do not skip these lesser known close treats of outdoor beauty. Thank you so much.

We loved everything about our stay in Florence. Tommaso’s house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean - with incredible art throughout and an outdoor garden to relax. Tommaso was such a wonderful host - he recommended restaurants and helped us make reservations, left us wine, gave us free tickets to a museum, and was very flexible for our arrival and departure times. Our stay here was the best of our trip to Italy and made our visit to Florence our favorite of our trip. The location requires some walking (like everywhere in Italy) but nothing too far. It’s within about a mile walk of most sites. Highly recommend Tommaso’s house.

Our Sanctuary in Florence

Our experience in Tommaso’s home was integral to our amazing Florence vacation!   This home is spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Our son loved the upstairs loft with its two walk-in closets, full bathroom, and sitting area. My wife and I stayed in the primary bedroom, with a comfortable bed, private bathroom, and ample storage. The two-story living room is cozy with a fireplace.  There is also strong WiFi—a lifesaver during our trip!   The kitchen is great, with a full-size fridge and plenty of cabinets, perfect if you want to live like a local. Beyond the kitchen is the private garden backing up to Florence’s ancient city wall—we could actually touch history! We found this to be a relaxing place to start and end our days.   What makes this stay truly exceptional is Tommaso himself. Warm and welcoming, he’s dedicated to creating the perfect vacation.   We wanted two things for our trip: a private cooking class and help navigating the shopping scene in Florence.  He arranged a pasta-making class with Gloria in her beautiful home, and connected us with Cristina, a personal shopper who tailored a shopping tour to our budget. Both experiences were highlights of our trip.   He even made us “just in case” dinner reservations. No pressure to go, but we did—every recommendation was phenomenal and the best meals we had! He saw it was my birthday and had cookies and a candle at checkout-Come on now! We highly recommend this property AND Tommaso as a host! We will be back!

A beautiful apartment in a wonderful location!

Our family had a WONDERFUL time staying at this apartment. It is exactly as described, very clean, very beautiful, a great location within Florence, and the sweetest, most dedicated hosts we have ever met! If you need anything while staying here, Tommaso and his family are here to help! They helped us book transportation, restaurants, and private tours as needed, and provided a wealth of information about the surrounding area. You will not be disappointed with your stay. Paradise in San Niccolo

I don’t know how to summarize this incredible month. I knew from the photos and the reviews that Tommaso and his apartment were going to be amazing and it (and he) did not disappoint !! My husband and daughter didn’t pay attention to my booking so they arrived and said “wow thank you for finding this paradise!!” The apartment is gorgeous down to every tiny detail- beds, bedding, kitchen, artwork, furniture, garden, laundry, bathrooms, showers. Everything was divine. Tommaso himself acts as your personal concierge for Florence and he takes great pleasure in helping you with activities, restaurants, and wknds out of the city. His personal touch with check in and check out is extraordinary. Done with such humor, kindness and elegance. He has become a dear friend and I consider it an honor and a blessing to have met him and had the opportunity to stay in his stunning apartment for our first month in Florence. Perfect host to the perfect apartment

Our family had travel a lot over the years with VRBO and the other sites. Tommas was by far the best host we have had. From meeting us at his perfect apartment to checking in via WhatsApp during our stay. He even booked us a car to the train station on our last day. The apartment is very well appointed and very comfortable. You are walking distance to everything you need, restaurants grocery store and all the sites of Florence. If you are considering Florence, book this place you will not be disappointed.

A Great Place to Stay in Florence

This apartment was perfect for us (five days). Best VRBO we have stayed in throughout our travels. Family of five (three teenagers who all had plenty of their own space). Quiet street with good options for food right down the street and quick walk across the Arno into the center of town. Exactly as you see in the pictures. Apartment was very clean, spacious, comfortable and tastefully appointed. Garden - great to relax in. Washer/dryer - extremely convenient. Pick this place when you decide to visit Florence. You won’t be second guessing and wondering why you did, like we all do when we book VRBO’s that don’t look or feel anything like the pictures and reviews you read. Tommaso – what can I say? Wish all hosts were like him. If I only had half the energy he has and exudes. His love of Florence and his home is obvious from the moment you meet him. He met us when we showed up earlier than the check-in time and was kind enough to help us with our bags and also allowed us to leave our bags while the apartment was still being cleaned. He walked us through his home and let us know everything we would need to know to make our stay enjoyable. When we had questions on things to do, he was helpful in providing great recommendations. He also helped set up transportation when we decided to do a beach day and he even made reservations at restaurants he thought we would enjoy. Always available and quickly responded when we reached out with any questions. Perfect home and host.

Beautiful Apartment on Quiet Street

We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment! The kind VRBO owner, Tom met us to help us with our bags and show us around the apartment. The wall art in the apartment is amazing! And the space was perfect for our family of 5. My daughter even said the futon was super comfortable. The large garden is a treat. The neighborhood was much quieter than most and there were a handful of cafes just down the street. Walking to the historical center was pretty quick and enjoyable. Tom also gave us recommendations for drivers, dining, things to do, etc. Overall, we loved our stay and would recommend this lovely apartment!

Perfect spot In Florence

Accommodations were as described. Lovely property, great neighbourhood with terrific shops at your door step. The host was very attentive and provided white glove service. The location was close to all the action but without the noise and congestion. Would highly recommend.

Peaceful garden, modern amenities

This apartment is a must for your next stay in Florence. It is exactly as described and pictured. Clean, modern, and quiet. My family of 5 (three generations aged 76-8) stayed comfortably in this property for four nights in June. The outdoor space was our favorite spot to relax with a glass of wine after walking all day. The apartment is located on the other side of the Arno, which we prefer, and therefore is more of a local's experience. There is a market for essential groceries and a bakery/cafe just ten steps away. The real hidden gem is the owner, Tomosso. He takes great pride in his property and is a gracious host. He met us at the apartment, gave a thorough tour, and saw us off on the morning we left. He made reservations for restaurants and taxis throughout our stay; we greatly appreciate his hospitality. We would absolutely return to this property in the future.
