Our private, well equipped apartment is located right on the waterfront of The Marina Village complex with its pretty New England styling and looking out to the wonderful Marigot Bay with its impressive collection of sailing boats and mega yachts. One of the best places to stay if you like to watch the water, boats and day to day goings on in this beautiful bay.
Our guests have free use of the two fabulous swimming pools at the Zoetry Wellness and Spa Resort, located right next door to the apartment block. You will be provided with wrist bands for free access to the pools by the hotel reception. The hotel became all inclusive in December 2022 but you can purchase a Privelege Pass from their reception for the day or evening period, to include food and drinks. There are a number of restaurants and bars in and around the bay where you can pay as you go still as well as regular music nights and happy hours.
Our apartment has all the mod cons you would need for a holiday home, air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, free wi-fi, coffee maker, smart TV, books and a well equipped kitchen where you can knock up your own Caribbean dishes.
The apartment is accessed off the central courtyard by a private gate and stairwell to the first floor, shared only by one other private apartment above it. You enter a hallway which leads into the newly refurbished open plan kitchen, dining area and living room. Off these rooms you will find two spacious bedrooms, both with air con and ceiling fans.
The spacious master bedroom has a boutique hotel styled en-suite shower room and there is also a separate shower room. Both the living room and master bedroom have large glazed doors which open out onto a covered balcony which stretches the whole width of the apartment. Out here you will find comfortable chairs, foot stools and side tables so you can read, snooze, relax and watch the world go by in the bay at a slower pace of life. You may have the occasional visit from small finches who have learnt that they may get a peanut or two from your hand.
The privately owned apartments are set around the central square which houses The Hurricane Hole cafe and an Asian/Mediterranean restaurant. The small supermarket closed during the pandemic but is due to open in 2023. A well stocked supermarket is found 15 minutes drive away.
Although not a large beach, Sand Spit beach is the perfect location if you want to chill out, swim, snorkel, read under the tall palm trees and watch the boats go past into the bay. The beach is accessed by a 2 minute water taxi ride across the bay and has restaurants, bars, deck chairs and places to hire water sport equipment from.
