Dieses Privathaus lässt die Schönheit der Karibik in sich fließen. Das Haus verfügt über einen Open-Air-Plan, der einen spektakulären Blick auf die Pitons und das Karibische Meer bietet.
Das Haus verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer, 3 Bäder, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, viel Wohnraum und Terrassen, einen Pool und Gärten mit Obstbäumen und wunderschönen tropischen Blütenpflanzen.
Das Hauptschlafzimmer und das angrenzende Bad befinden sich auf der oberen Ebene mit einem Balkon. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über ein großes Wohn- / Esszimmer mit einer Terrasse, die sich über die gesamte Breite des Hauses erstreckt und sich ideal zum Sonnenbaden und Trinken bei Sonnenuntergang eignet. Das Erdgeschoss hat auch eine Küche mit angeschlossenem Wohnzimmer, Gästezimmer (mit Queensize-Bett) und angeschlossenem Badezimmer, ein Arbeitszimmer mit Tagesbett und ein komplettes Badezimmer.
Der Pool verfügt über ein großes Sonnendeck mit Chaiselongues und ein überdachtes Unterdeck, das im Schatten der prächtigen Bäume im Vorgarten liegt. Es gibt einen Kochbereich im Freien mit Grill und Essbereich.

Just what we needed!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to relax and "reset" from a very stressful year.Heritage Jewel provided us with the perfect spot and so much more than we were looking for. Tammara and Cleatus treated us like long lost family members from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed being treated every morning for breakfast and great conversation.This hidden gem is in the perfect location. Who could imagine looking at the Piton and wanting to leave? But, for short excursions, there is so much to explore to renew the spirit.We look forward to coming back again soon!10/10

Truly a Jewel

Just our style, very laid back, rustic. Had a great time enjoying the pool, the beautiful sunsets/piton views and breakfast made for you as an added perk. The sulfur baths are within walking distance and there’s a great hiking trail around Rabot Estate/Hotel Chocolate. Renting a car thru Cool breeze very easy, pick up and drop off at the house. Tamara and Vee are great! We would love to go back.

Highly recommend

Our stay in November was fantastic. I enjoyed every day in St.Lucia and at the villa. The whole experience was magnified with the Hermitage Jewell staff who were helpful in planning our trip and very welcoming once we got there. The views were fantastic and the property was private from other tourist and villas. The location was great, close drive to beaches, hiking, and waterfalls. We will miss Tamara, V, Duane, and Tamara's husband Cletus above all. We will be visiting St. Lucia again.

Perfect location and Better Hosts

Tamara and Glenda were very gracious hosts. Tamara was helpful with her local knowledge and we always appreciated the great breakfasts in the morning. Place is very peaceful with the best views. The road up is a little challenging. Even though we rented a car we still hired a driver several days to avoid the driving challenges to get to some of the resorts. Ladera resort near by has great food and awesome sunsets and very nice staff including the head chef (Nigel). Would highly recommend.

A little piece of paradise

This is the most idyllic and peaceful place for a holiday. The views from the villa are beautiful beyond words. Sunrise and sunset are particularly special times. Breakfast made by Glenda is wonderful and Eddie and Dwayne do a great job of looking after the lovely pool and gorgeous garden. Tamara and Cletus made all our arrangements easy and worry free and we can certainly recommend one of Tamara’s meals. We will certainly plan on going back. Thank you Linda for sharing your home.

A Piece of Paradise

My wife and I routinely stay at VRBO properties on vacation. This property, and the hosts are simply the best in all respects. The property is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. The views of Petit Piton are postcard worthy, and truly amazing. The property grounds are full of jungle beauty; plants, flowers, and fruit. The pool was a welcome cooling spot every day after our daily excursions. The property is open air and despite the warm day time temperatures, the evenings were very comfortable. Getting to hear the night sounds were always welcome, as were the many birds and lizards that visited us during our stay. The true jewel of this property is Tamara, and her husband Cletus. Each morning Tamara would arrive and make a perfect breakfast. Cletus picked us up at the airport, and took us back. They take a great deal of care with their guests, and welcome your like family. Turns out, we view them as family now as well. The property is within a 5 minute drive to 3 dining options, as well as several fantastic attractions. Tamara set us up with a snorkeling captain for a great day on the water as well. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Simply the best location with some of the best people I have met taking care of you. We are already planning our next stay here.

Your own private paradise!

It was heaven on earth. Not only is the property beautiful with amazing views, the couple managing it are the absolute best. They reached out prior to our visit and helped us in all aspects of planning. Having your own private pool to come home to each day is a plus. The breakfast was amazing and Tamara and her husband came over to cook me a special breakfast on my birthday morning with a gift ❤️ St. Lucia is full of the nicest people and we felt so welcomed. Definitely make sure to visit Anse Mamin and snorkel on the leftside of the beach and eat one of the delicious burgers at the bar. We loved the waterfalls, mud baths and eating chocolate from Hotel Chocolat right below your driveway. Also make sure to eat at Pounty Pizza in Soufriere. It was so good and run by a 33 year old entrepreneur that ensures you have the best experience. Don't look at any other rentals as this one will check all the boxes. We will be back!

The View is Amazing, House Needs an Update, Sleeping Arrangements are Intolerable.

We stayed at the property for five days in August and the view is one of the best on the island. The pool was lovely, and the lush foliage surrounding the property added to the natural beauty and sense of privacy.That said, the house itself is in need of significant updates—especially the kitchen, which is quite dated. The lighting in the home is poor, with many fixtures not functioning at all. The managers were aware of this and mentioned that an electrician was needed. The furniture is worn.The biggest issue by far was the insect situation. We knew in advance that bug spray would be necessary and used it around the clock, but it wasn’t enough. Between my husband and me, we left with an estimated 150–200 bites, mosquito and bed bugs. The mosquito netting upstairs didn’t fit the king bed properly—it hung open on both sides. The net downstairs had a large slit, allowing insects in. Tamara, the property manager, acknowledged the netting needed replacement and mentioned that what she had ordered didn’t fit. She said she planned to have a custom one made. Unfortunately, the downstairs bathroom was also full of mosquitoes at night, making things even worse.I’ve now been home for two days and am still suffering from the intense itching caused by the bites. I strongly recommend that the owners address these issues—particularly the pest control and basic maintenance—before renting the property out again. Until then, I would advise others to look elsewhere.

Honeymoon of our Dreams

Where do I even begin… we had the best honeymoon I could’ve ever imagined and we owe it all to this place. American Airlines overbooked our flight getting there so we missed a full day. Tamara was very understanding and even tried to find us another villa if we decided to extend our trip. When we arrived, Tamara welcomed us with the best rum punches! She helped us plan out our week and gave us great recommendations on what to do. Her and her husband helped arrange a couple days for us to go to Sugar Beach which was greatly appreciated. The housekeeper Vee was amazing and I am missing her breakfasts already. Tamara helped arrange for my husband and I to rent a car during our stay and we had so much fun exploring the island. I can’t say enough good about this place. We are already talking to our family about going back with them. Thank you all for an amazing vacation! Recommendations: - Dinner at Orlando’s (still thinking about how amazing this meal was) - A day at Sugar Beach (renting a chair is $100/each but you can easily just bring a towel and enjoy the beach) - Hiking Gros Piton (I recommend you do this towards the end of your trip as we were sore for days after…pretty challenging hike) - Dinner at Treetop (the views were amazing during sunset)

Another Day in Paradise!

We spent 8 glorious days at Hermitage Jewel and upon waking each day, my husband and I exclaimed to one another, “Another day in paradise!” The property is magical and the views are unmatched. The house is rustic, but lovely and there are several comfortable outdoor living areas. We especially enjoyed lounging by the pool. The landscape is incredibly lush with countless varieties of flowers and fruit trees and there are even house birds - two friendly bullfinches named George and Lily. But it’s the caretakers that make this property truly special. Tamara and Vee took such good care of us, providing the most delicious breakfasts each morning, including fresh-squeezed juices and hand-picked fruits. Tamara cooked us one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever eaten our first night. She and her husband, Dane joined us and it was so special to become acquainted with them from the start - we now consider them treasured friends. If you need a driver during your stay, Super Dave is your man! He was a perfect ambassador for the island and supremely knowledgeable about all things St. Lucia. He literally drove us all over the island. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, private place to stay with unbelievably beautiful scenery, look no further than Hermitage Jewel. I can’t recommend this property highly enough and can’t wait to return!

Magical Place!!

Dian Chase gets a 10/10 for taking care of us right from the time we booked the property up to the time we returned to airport after vacation. She is meticulous about the details to ensure our stay was comfortable and we had a great time vacationing in St Lucia. We are so happy to have picked this property for our stay the views was beautiful, the 3 bedroom and baths were very comfortable for our family. Internet connection was helpful to catch up on chores back home, we used it sparingly as we were occupied throughout our stay with activities and enjoying the fantastic views and the beautiful property. Glenda the house keeper was excellent and made us delicious breakfast every day with a smile! :) Damiana cooked us Dinner twice during our staff we enjoyed the excellent food she prepared, ask for Pumpkin Soup it is the best! Neverweary our driver is a multi talented individual, self taught individual who is very knowledegable not only about St Lucia but also world affairs! He took us to place normally tour operators do not so we enjoyed learning from local farmer to coffee shops and had some great food at road side shops to local favorites such as Martha's, Fedo's, and Zaka to name a few. Overall a fantastic experience! Go ahead, call Dian and start planning for a fabulous trip to St Lucia!!

Where to begin…. We were greeted at the airport with hugs from Cletus and it was nothing but love and the feeling of home after that. Truly the most wonderful experience and time we had on our honeymoon in St Lucia at Hermitage Jewel. Cletus & Tamara are spectacular. They go above & beyond. We feel as though we left with new lifelong friends. Every morning we were greeted by the birds, George & Lily, as Vee made us the most wonderful breakfast. Tamara was available at all times to assist with literally anything; taxis, food, excursions, house help, you name it. We wanted a day on a private boat, they made it happen. I mentioned my love for mangos, the next day they got us mangos for breakfast. We needed a ride to north St Lucia, they hooked us up with someone they trusted. They are the definition of above & beyond. Tamara is also the most amazing cook!! Our belly’s were always full & happy when she was around. The outdoor cat, Russell, is the most friendly “stray” we ever met. If you’re not a cat lover, no worries, he’s an outdoor kitty & only comes around to those who want to pet/love him. He loves his neck & head pets! If you are thinking about visiting St Lucia, this is truly the only place to stay. One of a kind service by the most caring people you’ll ever meet. Not to mention the view is ABSOLUTELY incredible. No pictures can do the view justice. It’s absolute perfection.

We stayed at the Hermitage Jewel for 7 days in September and it was absolutely fantastic. Tami started communicating with us well before our stay letting us know what we needed. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport by the wonderful Cletus. Once there we were greeted by Tami and given the tour. The property is up in the hills about 45 minutes from airport and about 15 minutes from Soufriere. The first thing that strikes you is the absolutely magnificent view of the Pitons. The view by itself is worth 5 stars. There are two houses close by but there are so much vegetation you don’t see anyone. The property has avocado trees, coconut trees, and so many beautiful plants and flowers. As we relaxed on the porch with some fresh made rum punch, Tami made us dinner. That service is extra but I can assure you it is worth every penny. Tami ended up making dinner for us two more times and every meal was delicious. Tami also made breakfast in the mornings which consisted of fresh eggs, fresh juice, and the best fruit I’ve ever tasted. I’ll never have a mango as good as we had in St Lucia. The house is open air (no air conditioning), so be prepared for some bugs and lizards, which my wife loved (the lizards not the bugs). The afternoons were a bit hot but the good news is the pool is only steps away and definitely cooled us off. Tami arranged for a rental car to be delivered, another great service Tami provided. It is definitely worth the expense if you are comfortable

Nestled in a breathtaking tropical setting, this house provided the perfect escape from everyday life.From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by vibrant greenery and the sweet scent of tropical fruits and flowers surrounding the property. The home's design truly embraces the essence of the island, with open spaces that allow for a seamless flow between indoor comfort and outdoor beauty. Every morning, I would sit on the spacious terrace, sipping my coffee while taking in the stunning views of the lush landscape and nearby 2600 ft elevation of Petite Piton Mountain.The amenities were adequate, with a fully equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals with fresh, local ingredients. After a day of exploring, it was a joy to return to such a comfortable space to unwind. Our lovely and kind host Tamara prepared three dinners of a local flavor. Additionally, she provided a daily breakfast that always included local fruits and smoothies. What truly set this rental apart was the tranquility of its location. Away from the hustle and bustle, I felt completely immersed in nature—waking up to the gentle sounds of birds and the rustle of palm leaves in the breeze. The nearby beaches were pristine, and the warm, crystal-clear waters were just a short drive away, our favorite being Anse Chastanet Beach at the Jade

Amazing hosts- friendly, personable, and genuinely wanting to make the trip a memorable one. Thank you Tamera and Cletus! We mentioned that we were looking into getting a massage and Tamara had two masseuses arranged within the hour- right there on the property. We mentioned wanting to take a sunset cruise, and Tamara had it arranged with it the hour. The breakfasts were amazing and were the perfect start to the day..The views of the Pitons and of the ocean will blow your mind- even better than advertised. Plenty of space and every detail of the floor plan highlighted the amazing views. We enjoyed several hikes and several snorkeling adventures. St. Lucia is the perfect place to explore and unwind, and for us the villa along with Cletus and Tamera’s hospitality made it the perfect adventure. We strongly recommend this rental if you are going to St. Lucia.

We stayed for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! Stunning scenery everywhere you turn. The property is very well maintained. Tamara and Cletus are super kind and hospitable! We would recommend renting a car to get around because the roads are so steep. Tamara arranged for a rental car to be dropped off at the villa for us, and we had a good experience with the company. The villa is in a great location for exploring around Soufriere provided you have a car. Short drive to places like Sugar Beach, the mud baths, and many more popular destinations. This is an indoor/outdoor living space, so make sure you are comfortable without AC and are okay with lizards and such. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back again!

Magical views

We came to St Lucia to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and we had an amazing visit. The Hermitage Jewel has the best views on the island and is close to every thing we wanted to experience. We had a warm welcome at the airport by Cletus and Tamara greeted us with a refreshing rum punch. We took others advice and had Tamara prepare our first dinner which was delicious.

Hidden Gem with spectacular view! WONDERFUL hosts

This villa is located in a prime location with magnificent views of the piton and ocean. It’s up on a ridge surrounded by floral gardens, with visits from lizards and birds. The patio was perfect place to relax with a zen-like atmosphere. We spent 75% of our time there playing games, relaxing and eating. The pool is secluded and private, with refreshing water. The rooms are open air with screens over shutters. As expected, mosquitos are present. But the fans, peppermint oil, and nets did help prevent bites. Breakfast was prepared by Tamara with an assortment of delicious seasonal fruits, eggs made to order, smoothies and anything else requested. We had dinner prepared several nights, which were delicious creole dishes. Tamara and Cletus went above and beyond as hosts, making us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Best warm and friendly hosts we’ve ever experienced. Would go back!Rent a car and you can drive to the beautiful Anise Mamín (our favorite is this one and secluded beach next to it) and Sugar beach if desired (not as great as advertised). Right below the house (2min walk) is project chocolate, which has a wide variety of food, alcohol and coffee to enjoy. The botanical gardens and Jurassic trail were some of the highlights of our visit. There are about 4-5 restaurants at resorts nearby (all within a 10 min beautiful walking distance) that offer great food as well. The sulfur springs are NOT walkable (all steep downhill), but you can park for free or have driver.

Return to Paradise

This is our second visit to this villa in the middle of a beautiful Rain Forest overlooking Petit Piton. We had to come back! Our hosts Tamara and Cletus provided us with outstanding service and relaxing conversation. Breakfasts Caribbean style! The villa is a bit rustic but perfect for our tastes. We had our bouts with the mosquitoes at night but not unexpected. The pool is wonderful for private afternoon dips after touring the island. We rented a 4wd Jimny to explore areas missed on our last trip. The road to Anse Chastenet is wild and wooly!! A must drive! All in all money well spent.

Very private - but isolated - open air villa

This was our second stay at Hermitage Jewel, so we knew what to expect. You should understand that the villa is at the top of a very steep, tall hill. Walking anywhere from there would be a challenge. You will either have to hire a driver or rent a car to go to restaurants or other places. If you hire a driver, confirm what the charges will be beforehand. Bring plenty of cash.It’s open-air, meaning exactly that. There are some screens on the windows but you will sleep under mosquito netting. The kitchen is rudimentary. A countertop oven would help. The one that is there doesn’t work. The main trouble we had was the lack of lights in the bedrooms. 2 very dim bulbs is not enough.The stairs going up to the master bedroom are poorly lit and “not to code”. If your eyesight is poor you should avoid them.Also, would be nice to have the pool heated a bit. It was too cold to use.In spite of all I’ve said, it’s a lovely place. You just have to know what to expect

Wonderful Two Week Trip to Paradise

Amazing view-perfect location-close to island attractions & our favorite restaurant, Brigand’s Hideaway. But Tamara, the property mgr & her husband, Cletus. made the experience amazing. Tamara arranged-a Jeep to be waiting for us at the villa when we arrived, for the driver to stop at a grocery on the way to the villa from the airport, a ½ day boat tour from Soufriere (15min from villa), a taxi from Soufriere to Anse Chastanet & Mamin Beaches (driving there is not recommended for tourists-it’s steep, narrow, & bumpy & is difficult to meet another vehicle), & a driver to the airport the day we left. She also gave great advice regarding best times to go to nearby attractions to avoid cruise ship crowds. Cletus secured lunch reservations & a day at Sugar Beach when there were fewer cruise ships, & drove all of us into Soufriere to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning. Such warm, welcoming people. who went above & beyond for us. An honor to have met them. I must mention her delicious breakfasts with new (to us) fruit nearly every morning & smoothies! She even cooked up some christophine au gratin for us to try! Delicious! Lisa, the housekeeper & Dwayne, the gardener were sweet as well! Mud baths are right next door, but take Tamara’s advice - go late in the day! There were only a handful of people when we went! Other reviews mentioned bugs, but they really weren’t too bad, just don’t forget bug spray! I highly recommend a visit to Hermitage Jewel! You’ll love the experience!

Another Day in Paradise

Words can’t describe how wonderful our stay was at Hermitage Jewel. It was a little slice of Heaven! I believe it is the best view you can get on the island. We ate dinner at resort restaurant Hotel Chocolate, and Dashene at Ladera resort, and the view from Hermitage beat them both!We felt blessed to wake up every morning to view the magnificent Pitons. Tamara and Cletus were the most fabulous hosts, and they instantly made us feel welcomed- they were like family. Tamara made us a delicious home cooked meal the night we arrived which included a tasty rum punch. Her breakfasts every morning were such a treat- must ask for her homemade lemonade and her fruit smoothie. But what we really enjoyed was her company!We did not rent a car, and we were lucky enough to have Super Dave be our driver to anywhere we wanted to go. He was always at our disposal and took us on many excursions like the Mud baths, the Torlaine Falls, the Diamond Falls, the Tet Paul Hike, and to The Beacon restaurant with a beautiful view of the Pitons and town below. We felt nothing but peace and tranquillity our entire stay. One of our favorite things was falling asleep to the sounds of the frogs croaking and the breeze blowing.Hermitage Jewel is a super special place in a super special country. It is a trip we will never forget!

Great Stay

The description and reviews were totally accurate.The view was straight from a travel poster, and Tamara was as helpful and accommodating as anyone could be.Don't worry about the roads, they are not that bad - much easier than St Croix or St John. However we were happy to hire Dave to drive us places.
