Casa Mennone is a magnificent holiday villa in an elevated, quiet, rural location near Lucca, Tuscany, with spectacular views across the plain and sun from dawn to dusk.

For centuries the farmers who lived here grew corn, grapes and olives on the surrounding land, for local aristocratic families.

The expansive garden has a circular saltwater pool, sun loungers, large children’s play area, ample shade, spa hot tub, barbecue and wood fired pizza oven.

The house is thoughtfully decorated, comfortably furnished and well equipped. Quiet air conditioning in every room, fast Wi-Fi, refrigerator with ice-maker, coffee machine, bar and a veranda for alfresco dining.

Laid out to accommodate large family groups, there’s plenty of space to socialise and many quiet areas to relax, read or play games.

Dating to circa 1600 the original, traditional farmhouse has been extended over the years. Our family carefully restored it and has let it as a holiday home since 1987. We continue making Villa Mennone even more sustainable. Recent eco-friendly upgrades include installing a low energy air conditioning system, solar panels for hot water and converting the swimming pool to saltwater.

Our family continues to oversee every aspect of our guests’ stay to ensure they have the best experience and most relaxing holiday possible.

Large group visit to amazing and fantastic villa in Toscana

The villa was well spacious and equipped with Everything you need. It was clean and cosy. The pool was amazing with nice beach chairs. Would recommend if you Are going to Toscana. The host is also very nice and quick to reply.

A great place to stay.

There were 16 of us staying spanning the three generations of the family. The house was large enough for us not to get in each other’s way while at the same time allowing us to have a fantastic time in each other’s company. The children were hardly out of the pool!

Amazing huge house on the hills

The view is spectacular, the house itself is big for a family getaway, the house has everything. The bed that we stayed had a great mattress. Many bathrooms, kids toys and entertainment. Mario was very kind and also Lisa. We are so glad we find this house for a family reunion and hopefully we will be there next year!

We love it! Way bigger than it looks in the photos!

The property is amazing! In reality it’s way bigger than what we imagined. The pool, the garden (soccer 4 vs 4 no problem), the view, the jacuzzi. The Pool gets cleaned and if you have questions you can just write via WhatsApp. Just everything was perfect. And with 16 people (18+) it was really affordable (in May). Would go there again!

Fantastic house and very hospitable owners!

Casa Mennone is a fantastic house in the mountains near Lucca. The view from the house is amazing and the garden and surroundings very beautiful with grapes and olive trees. The house itself is large and all bedrooms nicely furnished with antique furnitures. The house was clean and everything worked well. The owners Loretta and Guiseppe are very hospitable and generous. You will need a car to get around, but you can easily make a daytrip to Firenze/Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the coast. We can really recommend this house!

A Tuscan Dream

We spent 3 weeks here and this property is amazing. It is the perfect blend of a true Tuscany experience with modern comforts. It was handicap accessible (wonderful for my 80 year old mom). The amazing pool, yard, hot tub was great for the kids. It has comfortable beds, great showers, AC, WIFI, modern stove and incredible views. We loved the nearby town of Lucca and the location is easy for day trips to Pisa, Florence and the coast. The host responded immediately to any questions and provided great information on the area, food recommendations, close by winery and even travel recommendations. Our family (12 people ranging from 6-80) loved it. We hope we could return someday!

Relaxing stay with gorgeous surroundings

The stay was excellent and a great retreat for our family! Mario’s communication & hospitality was excellent & the villa was very clean & even more beautiful than the photos. We had 4 generations of family and everyone enjoyed the experience. We meant to do more sightseeing, but frankly everyone wanted more time just being together as a family. The views were amazing & both the pool & hot tub were enjoyed. The family even enjoyed a competition of ping pong. One of everyone’s highlights was when local Chefs came & cooked an unbelievable 3 course dinner with appetizers & deserts - we highly recommend. We are very thankful to Mario for sharing their place so we could build many happy family memories.

AMAZING STAY!

15 of us came to celebrate my husbands 60th bday. The communication was unbelievably perfect. Mario the owner helped us before we got there. (Finding a Chef, transportation etc). Once there, Lisa ,the house manager, consistently answered many questions. She was so helpful as to where to eat, getting us a taxi. The property is SPECTACULAR! The pictures don’t do it justice.A trip of a lifetime. Hope to get back someday, couldn’t have been any better than it was. PERFETTO. Do not hesitate this beautiful property, memories that will last a life time. Grazie Mario and Lisa!

In paradiso again!!!

We spent the second time a Casa Mennone...this time in September with our family and our friends and we enjoyed it soooooo much, the wonderful house with the fabulous view to Lucca, the garden, the swimming pool and the whirlpool .....we never had such a paradise in Toscana before. This time we although made our first pizza in the big and very special pizza-oven - great! mointainbiking and walking, dancing and playing ping-pong kept us fit and the greatest moment was the invitation of our owners to their wonderful villa. Thankyou so much, dear Loretta, Giuseppe, Elisa & Mario for your hospitility !!! We are looking forward to our next holidays in your wonderful domicil!!! Beautiful large hillside farmhouse with incredible views

The large 9BD house perfectly accommodated 17pp (4 families ages 16-61). Home is large and immaculately clean with plenty indoor and outdoor space to relax and gather. Appreciated the individual air conditioning units in the bedrooms and gathering rooms which were perfect since we stayed during the end of July. The outdoor garden, large pool and jacuzzi were the highlight with views for miles. Sunrise and sunsets were amazing. The home is in the hillside and need to maneuver some narrow and windy roads, but worth it for the views and solitude of the home. Having a car is a must. We didn’t rent a car which was our mistake (no one wanted to drive) so we had to use a car service (and costs quickly added up) for grocery shopping and sightseeing to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Cinque Terre. It was a trip of a lifetime and Casa Mennone was perfect.

17 family members stayed for a week as it was my mother’s 80th birthday and we had an unbelievable experience. The house is laid out perfectly. The bedrooms were charming and the bathrooms were clean spacious and updated. Mario responded immediately to the smallest requests. The pool and hot tub were pristine and used everyday. The view is breathtaking during the day and at night and the setting is pure Tuscany. The Ciambelli Family are incredible people and we’re so gracious. I truly can’t say enough about this place. It was a perfect home away from home that we used to access hill towns to the south and coastal towns to the north as well as Florence and Lucca. I’ll be back and maybe it will have to be during olive season in November as the Family produces upwards of 1500 bottles of olive oil. If it’s available rent this place and make incredible memories in Tuscany. Grazie to the Ciambelli Family

Everything was perfect

We had a great stay at Casa Mennone! Highlight was the huge outdoor space with a really gorgeous view from the terace, pool and jacuzzi. We hardly left the premises due to Covid, but with all the possibilities in the garden, the six children in our party never got bored - and neither did the adults. :) Also, we regularly made use of the pizza / bread oven and bbq. Also indoors, nothing was missing. Everything was there you could possibly need for a large group. Communication was very easy. The host family was extremely nice and always quick to give a helpful answer. All in all: Great vacation, great house, absolutely recommendable!

Ein sehr toll gelegenes und ausgestattetes Haus für einen Urlaub mit der Familie.

Traumhafte Ferien in der Villa Mennone

Wir verbrachten mit unserer Familie (12 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder) sehr schöne und erholsame Ferien in der Villa Mennone. Elisa, die Schwester von Mario, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Alle haben sich sofort wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet, war sauber und in einem gepflegten Zustand. Für unsere Enkelkinder waren genügend Spielsachen vorhanden. Der Pool, als auch der Whirlpool, von wo aus man am Abend die Aussicht über Tal geniessen konnte, waren perfekt und wurden zweimal in der Woche gereinigt. Dieses Anwesen können wir mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen. Auf jeden Fall werden wir das "Casa Mennone" wieder buchen.

Sehr gepflegtes wunderbares Anwesen

Dieses Haus ist ideal für mehrere Personen. Auch für Menschen mit einem Handicap. Zwei der unterer Zimmer sind Rollstuhlgängig und die Duschmöglichkeit ist Bodeneben. Der Umschwung bietet tolle Abwechslung wie baden im Pool, Wirlpool, Tischtennis, Badminton.Eine super Grillstelle ist auch vorhanden. Loretta und Mario waren bei Bedarf stets zur Stelle und sehr nett. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Casa Mennone vorbehaltslos weiterempfehlen !!!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus für viele Personen

Das Ferienhaus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir waren mit 16 Personen dort und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Durch die gelungene Aufteilung der Räume hat man genügend Platz sich zurückzuziehen. Der große Esstisch im Wohnzimmer, die Terrasse und die Bar bieten aber auch Platz für gemeinsame gemütliche Aktivitäten. Die einzelnen Zimmer haben durch ihre antike Einrichtung einen ganz besonderen Charme. Das Haus ist allgemein sehr gut ausgestattet. In der Küche ist an Geräten alles vorhanden, auch Gewürze, Öl, Tee, Filtertüten und vieles mehr. Die kostenlose Internetverbindung ist super, wenn man einen Laptop mitnimmt. Der Garten ist sehr groß, gepflegt und vor allem für Urlauber mit Hund toll, da er ganz umzäunt ist und selbst ein kleiner Hund nicht ausreißen kann. Außerdem hat man durch die erhöhte Lage einen wundervollen Blick über die Landschaft. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympatische, hilfsbereite Leute, die sich auch während des Aufenthaltes reizend um ihre Gäste kümmern, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Für die Anreise empfiehlt es sich ein Navigationsgerät mitzunehmen, weil das Haus sehr schwer zu finden ist. Das Haus und die Gastgeber können wir auf jeden Fall empfehlen!!!

Vacanza in paradiso

We have been to Casa Mennone from 30.12. - 6.1. 2011 with our grownup children, and some friends of us to celebrate Capodanno there and the 30.birthday of our daugther. It was soooo great - when you arrive in casa Mennone you feel like in paradise...the big comfortable house, the garden, the view (lucca and the mountains and hills) and the so very friendly owners ....we never had this conditions before (although we have been travelling a lot in Toscana). Bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia.! Czysto, duża ilość świeżych ręczników, bawełniana pościel. Przyjemna okolica, niesamowity widok. Naprawdę polecamy.
