Thank you for your 5 star review. We are glad to hear you had such a relaxing time and enjoyed the peace and quiet and hope to hear from you another time! Best wishes, Lorraine at tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests, whilst the property is very rural, there is a good restaurant within walking distance which is a bonus and also there are 2 towns within a 15 minute drive that have all the facilities you need (one with hypermarket) with places to eat on the way too. So, a good mix of a mountain stay but with facilities not too far too!

Thank you for your 5 star review, and your strong recommendation! We hope to hear from you another time. Best wishes, Lorraine at tuscan-retreats

Thank you for your 5 star review. We are glad to hear you had a great stay and enjoyed the spectacular location of this property. Good to hear that you walked to Il Totto too and enjoyed the food there. We will pass your comments to Giancarlo and hope to hear from you another time. Lorraine at tuscan-retreats

We’re also pleased that the location worked well for your outings and that you enjoyed the restaurant which you can visit by foot. We’d be delighted to welcome you back whenever you return to the area. Best wishes, Lorraine at Tuscan-retreats.

Thank you very much for your kind review. We’re so pleased to hear that the peaceful setting of the house in Sassi was just what you needed for a relaxing break. The owner will be very happy to know you felt well looked after during your stay. It’s great that you were able to enjoy the calm surroundings while still being close to restaurants, shops, and well-placed for day trips to Lucca and Pisa. We're also glad you had time to relax by the pool and enjoy the views. Thank you again, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Lorraine at Tuscan-retreats

Thank you for your review, and we are glad to hear you had a good time. I have mailed you separately to ask re your comments re items that need to be refurbished so we can look at this when we next visit. Thank you, and best wishes Lorraine from tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests do note there are 2 restaurants within walking distance and a couple of others around a 10 min drive. Others are further afield - 20 mins or so. There is a bar/bakery in the village of Molazzana 4.5km away, but the hypermarket is as said just under 20 minutes by car. The village itself is under 20 mins equidistant from 2 towns - Castelnuovo (the capital of the Garfagnana) and Gallicano. It is definitely a mountain hideaway but there are plenty of places to visit for an afternoon or day out. We provide a local information pack but at present it is only available in English.
