Villa Rubra is a newly built villa in the picturesque village of Sassorosso. An ancient palazzo blended with a newly built house, this spacious house is situated over 3 floors, it boasts 2 living rooms, a large kitchen / dining room, 3 terraces and a lovely private pool. There are 5 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms sleeping 13 in total. The villa has been furnished in a traditional way but with modern appliances, including a smart TV.

Villa Rubra perfect for a large family or group of friends who want to enjoy a private villa in a traditional tuscan villa.

The villa is a short walking distance to a popular restaurant.

Villa Rubra is a charming holiday villa located in Sassorosso, perhaps the most picturesque village of Garfagnana. Sassorosso is located at 1000 m above sea level and is famous for the red marble of its historical building.

From the terrace and the garden with private pool of Villa Rubra you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Apuan mountains.

Sassorosso is so called due to the villages construction of red marble stone. The village is well populated but the streets are very quiet due to being virtually traffic free. It's safe for children to play in and explore.

Some years ago the village was recommended for World Heritage status.

As the villa is newly built and was completed in late 2019, there are no reviews of Villa Rubra .

The villa is located in the village of Sassorosso (meaning red stone) in the Garfagnana region of Tuscany, rich in traditions that are still practiced today.

Within easy distance of the art cities of Lucca, Siena, Florence and Pisa this is an ideal location for a visit to Tuscany.

There is a popular tradional great value restaurant only 20 minutes walk from the house.

Staying in Sassorosso you can visit the nearby natural park of Orecchiella and enjoy a relaxing holiday discovering the beauties of Garfagnana.

Only 1 hour from Lucca it is also excellent for visiting the Tuscan cities of art, without giving up the beauty of nature and the Tuscan mountains.

Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With stunning scenery it is the perfect area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities.

The large market town of Castelnuovo is only 12KM away, here you will find many shops, restaurants, bar/cafes and the nearest train station that links with Lucca (50 minutes). Other nearby places of interest are San Pelegrino, Corfino, Silico, Barga, the fortress at Verucole and Piazza al Sercchio.
