Gut: Check-in, Kommunikation, Lage und Genauigkeit des Onlineauftritts
Review is a tale of two halves. We rented the apartment for two months from mid Dec to mid Feb. Positives - in a great location, a 5 min walk to nearest supermarket, 10 min to music square, a beautiful 20 min coastal walk to harbour & start of shops/bars/restaurants and beaches. apartment itself is a lovely size, nice sitting area, a dining area, compact kitchen with washer/drier and dishwasher. On upper level thereâs a sofa bed/tv and a sun terrace with 2 sunbeds/table and chair. On lower ground level thereâs 2 decent sized bedrooms (master with en-suite) and a guest bathroom. Now the negatives. The door/window on the mezzanine level are not watertight and during heavy rain during our stay, rain poured through a 1/2 inch gap under the door and pooled on the floor. We mopped up every time but it must be a long standing problem and has caused the plaster and paint under the window to crumble and also leaked through onto the kitchen/hall ceiling below, also causing black mould on the door/window frames and kitchen ceiling. In addition the master bedroom which is below ground level felt damp following rain - a dehumidifier might help. The front rooms in the apartment are fine. Both bathrooms also look tired and could do with some work (missing grout/sealant etc). We reported to management company who were responsive and agreed to look into it once weâd checked out. Would we stop there again?? Definitely if the damp issues were resolved and maintenance work completed/tidying.
