In der Landschaft von West Sussex gelegen, ist The Dairy ein Rückzugsort für vier Personen etwas außerhalb des malerischen Dorfes Westbourne. Mit Landkneipen, schönen Spaziergängen und Verbindungen nach Chichester und Goodwood ist dieses schöne Ferienhaus der perfekte Ort, um alles zu erkunden, was unsere Region zu bieten hat.

In Westbourne gibt es eine malerische Bäckerei. Der sehr empfehlenswerte Woodmancote Pub ist nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt, ebenso wie der Fox and Hound Pub. Das Restaurant von Halliday in Funtington ist einen Besuch wert. Buchen Sie unbedingt im Voraus.

Die Molkerei verfügt über eine große Küche mit allem, was Sie zur Selbstversorgung während Ihres Aufenthalts benötigen. Es gibt eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine mit Pads und ein schönes Willkommenspaket zum Frühstück wird bei der Ankunft zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Küche verfügt über ein Kochfeld, einen Herd, einen Geschirrspüler, eine Mikrowelle, einen Wasserkocher und einen Toaster. Ein weiterer Hauswirtschaftsraum umfasst eine Waschmaschine und Platz zum Trocknen. Ein Bügeleisen und ein Bügelbrett werden zur Verfügung gestellt.

Das große Wohnzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügt über alle neuen Möbel und einen neuen Breitbildfernseher, mit dem Sie nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag einen Film genießen können. Es gibt einen Esstisch für vier Personen mit hohen Gewölbedecken darüber, der ein wunderbares helles und luftiges Gefühl vermittelt und auch wunderschön aussieht. Ein Holzofen ist in der Ecke des Essbereichs versteckt und ein schöner großer Holzkorb wird für Ihre Buchung bereitgestellt.

Im ersten Stock gibt es Doppelzimmer und Zweibettzimmer. Hochwertige Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden im gesamten Gebäude zur Verfügung gestellt. Von den Treppenabsatz- und Schlafzimmerfenstern aus können Sie auf die wunderschöne Landschaft blicken, von der Sie umgeben sind, und sehen, ob Sie in der Ferne die alte, zerstörte Torheit erkennen können. Es gibt ein Familienbadezimmer mit separater Duschkabine und Badewanne. Ein weiteres WC befindet sich im Erdgeschoss.

Great stay at The Dairy.

Thank you for a lovely stay at The Dairy, clean comfortable and spacious. The welcome pack was amazing and included local cheese, butter and bread. Lots to do in the area and very close for Chichester. Some good farm shops nearby.

A lovely place in the country

We had a lovely stay in the Dairy Barn. The property was very comfortable and welcoming with a really good layout inside and a nice garden to sit in when the weather is fine. The property owner was very friendly, and very responsive. There are pleasant walks around the area and Chichester is a short drive away. I would recommend this for families looking for a nice country break.

Beautiful accommodation

Wonderful stay at The Dairy Barn. Modern, very clean and had absolutely everything you might need. Set in stunning countryside. Gorgeous walk to local pub for a delicious meal. Best part was the very thoughtful welcome basket left for us and a cold one in the refrigerator. Perfect, personal touch! Will definitely recommend and stay at again!

Absolutely lovely and comfortable family cottage.

This cottage had everything we could possibly need and we were very happy to stay. It has excellent amenities and though its location is rural, distances to plenty of places to visit are small. This area is a cycling paradise and we really enjoyed transporting our bikes to the varied routes in the area of Portsmouth and Chichester etc. Our bikes were very safe in the garden of the cottage due to the gated community. There is so much more I would like to do in this area... Another time. The host was extremely attentive when we had a boiler breakdown and it was repaired before we returned from our afternoon out.

Excellent holiday house with lots to do nearby

A really good holiday house, with excellent furniture and décor. Very spacious throughout. Nice large kitchen (could have done with a full-sized dishwasher, but that's a minor quibble). Very useful separate utility space. Comfortable dining and living room area. Nice big telly - great for lazy evenings after long days out. Didn't try the log burner as it was unseasonably warm - but looked like it would be very cosy. Location was pretty good - lots to do in the surrounding area for days out. We enjoyed Chichester, Fishbourne, Portsmouth, Arundel etc. The only minor downside was limited options for walking directly from the house.

Overall OK

Whilst the cottage was lovely, there are a couple of things I would like to point out. One of the beds had a spider's nest under the bedspread which hatched fortunately before my son and daughter in law went to bed, with numerous baby spiders crawling all over it. We contacted the owner for a hoover (which they had borrowed from the cottage) to clean them up, but on reflection feel that it should have been offered to remake the bed with clean bedding. The kitchen cupboards inside could have done with a clean, I actually spent the first evening giving them a wipe out (perhaps I am too fussy!) and a few more mugs would have been useful to save keep having to wash them and being unable to pop them in the dishwasher. Sorry, I do not wish to be over critcal because on the whole the cottage was lovely and Alison quickly sorted the kettle that had a leak. Just addressing the couple of things above would have made it even better!

Gemütliches und funktionales Basislager

Eine sehr saubere, gepflegte und professionell anmutende Ferienwohnung. Es ist alles da, was man brauchen könnte und alles funktioniert. Liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch ohne Kontakt zu den Vermietern fühlten wir uns dank frischer Blumen und anderer Aufmerksamkeiten willkommen. Für Kinder mit viel Bewegungsdrang ist der Garten vielleicht etwas klein. Ohne Auto wäre man etwas aufgeschmissen, als Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten nach Portsmouth, Chichester oder den Strand bei West Wittering ist das Häuschen aber hervorragend geeignet. Wir würden die Ferienwohnung wieder mieten.

A lovely week in a clean and comfortable barn conversion with friendly and helpful owners

We really loved our stay at The Dairy, Emsworth. the property was clean, well equipped, comfortable and convenient. The owners were friendly and helpful offering a generous welcome basket, plus extra help when we needed it. The position is brilliant for walking ion the South Downs and the sea-coast, and a booklet of walks from 2 - 4 miles in the local area was supplied which we made good use of. A lovely stay. thank you so much.

Some reasons for delight in the Dairy

The property is as described on the website, conveniently located, nicely styled, comfortable, and well equipped with a thoughtfully prepared welcome basket of bread eggs and jams. The Dairy shares an adequate driveway with an electric gate opening onto a busy road which is an irritation at night with open bedroom velux windows . We were staying during a relatively cool week in August and both bedrooms are in the roof space requiring use of the provided floor fans. The twin room was particularly difficult to cool and the low position of the open velux presented a safety risk for my 3 year old grandson. Flies were often a nuisance but in farming country something to put up with. The attached holiday unit the Parlor was not occupied until our last night when a group of 6 Greeks turned up in a transit van at 11.30pm at night and proceeded to take delivery from a second van of what looked like sacks of vegetables until 2 am with noises continuing until about 3am. So a very disappinting way to finish our week's holiday.

An excellent location and cozy home!

We have stayed at Little Hambrook Farm in a different unit and we loved it so much we came back and stayed at The Dairy. The property is so charming and sweet. The decor is super tasteful and fits the surroundings. We will definitely be back!

Lovely property

Lovely barn conversion property. Finished to high specifications, comfortable bed and furnishings. Spacious well equipped kitchen. Peaceful location. The only negative side is that it really isn’t in walking distance of any amenities, unless you are a keen walker. This meant driving out for places to eat or bring your own food. Emsworth was lovely but parking was a nightmare! Lovely area to explore though and great for bird watching and walking, and yachts if you have one!
