If I go back to Florence one day, I would book your place again.

I was greeted by Sergio. He spent a long time, showing me a map of the surrounding area and left the map with me. He also had a binder with all the places Florence had to visit. The apartment was beautifulI especially loved being on the Santa Maria Novella Piazza. There were restaurants right outside my door with outdoor seating. I can go on. I simply loved it.

Fantastic Florence Apartment

Wonderful stay. Location is amazing. Right in the heart of Florence. 5-10 minute walk to Duomo. And extremely close to train station. Hosts were very nice, with thoughtful small touches like chocolates. The space was very large for Europe. Had some nice classic touches and well appointed. Comfortable beds and amazingly quiet for such a central location.

Wonderful apartment Perfect location

The apartment was large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The HVAC, plumbing and appliances all worked perfectly. The location in Santa Maria Novella square was a short walk from the train station and all of the major sites of Florence. The owner's father met us at the door and explained everything. We could not ask for a better renting experience.

Amazing Apartment

As we entered the apartment we knew we were in Italy. The decor is amazing. The apartment is roomy and provides for all your needs. You walk out the front door to see cafes ready to serve you delicious food. The square is alive and you have a view of a beautiful church. We walked everywhere we needed to go so you definitely get a feel for the city. I highly recommend this apartment. You will definitely be very pleased.

Wonderful!

We can't say enough about this apartment, it is just beautiful! Excellent location, and the hosts were fantastic. We were greeted by Sergio at the door, gave us a tour and provided us with so much information, even a little history of Florence. He was so kind and helpful. Much care was taken by the owners to provide every thing their guests needed to feel welcome and at home. The attention to detail was amazing, the apartment is so well cared for. We were provided with coffee, and some treats, which were in a basket on the kitchen table, towels laid out on the beds. A city map was also provided and a book with information about the apartment such as using the dishwasher, check out instructions, where to dine, places to visit, using public transportation. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. We absolutely loved this place, we highly recommend it! Thank you Chiara and Sergio for making our stay in Florence such a pleasant one.

Great place to stay in Florence

This is the place to stay in Florence. The property is located in the centre of the city a short walk from the train station. Located on the beautiful Sante Maria Novelle Piazza. There are dozens of great restaurants in the area. Most of the tourists attractions are a short walk away. You can arrange a 90 minute cart ride tour to get to the rest. The apartment is fabulous. Totally what we expected and wanted. Filled with Italian charm and character. It was spotlessly clean. It had all the amenities that we needed with nice extras like coffee, muffins and chocolate goodies. The air conditioning worked great. Chiara and Sergio where a dream to work with. Sergio gave us a great orientation of the area on our arrival and check in was smooth and easy. Bonus there was a lift to get your luggage up to floor the apartment was located. Solid apartment

We had 3 people just concluded a stay here. Apartment in excellent location. Maybe 100 yards from the train station so easy access to trains and great location right in the square of the Piazza San Novella. Short walk to the Duomo and most key sites in the city. Lots of restaurants around. Unit was clean and organized and had a nice master bed and two twins in the second room plus a large couch that could easily be another twin. 5 adults could stay in this unit without issue although of course has only one bathroom. Nice kitchen. Bit of a wasted area that I'd call living space but still plenty of room to move around. Unit is on 3rd floor and there is a small lift to help with bags. Doesn't hold many people though so use the stairs! Need three keys to get in and out which is a bit tricky. Might be better if owner goes to some sort of key pad for everything beyond the main floor door. Only issue we encountered was a recurring loss of water pressure that impacted the entire unit on multiple evenings of our 4 night stay. We contacted the owners who did respond quickly and informed us was a city issue of some sorts. I'm not sure that was true but at times we had literally no running water in the unit sinks, shower, toilet or otherwise. It didn't last long and seemed to come back but it was annoying when it happened. Maybe was an isolated thing or some sort of neighborhood issue so don't want to be too disparaging about it but can't give 5 stars because of it. Overall the unit was clean. A/C worked fine in hot Florence summer weather. Location in San Novella square very attractive although the unit has no views of anything out the windows. Owner manages a sister unit across the hall which has great views. We loved Florence so hard to say much if anything negative about a magnificent city and friendly owners and a clean nice sized apartment! Washer in the unit would be a great addition!

Thank you for your positive review and suggestions. Water pressure in Florence is usually very low especially in summer, that's why we installed a big water tank with a pump to avoid any lack of water in the apartment. We were contacted by guests only once at 11pm and we gave them our prompt assistance. Just needed to reset the water pump to solve the problem in a few minutes. The Unit 2 doesn't have the view on the square, but on the inner courtyard of the building. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful which is very rare for the center of Florence. Wonderful apartment - great location

We loved our stay at this very well maintained and tastefully furnished apartment. Close to the train station - what made our arrival and departure simple - and only minutes away from all main attractions. Piazza Santa Maria Novella is right at the doorstep and lots of restaurants are in walking distance - the apartment however is quiet and bright and faces the inner courtyard of the building.The kitchen is well equipped and the Nespresso coffee machine was a nice treat for us. Chiara is a very responsive host and her parents were very helpful and informative at check in. Grazie!

Great hosts - great apartment

My girlfriend & I stayed here for 5 nights in early October on a 3 1/2 week trip thru Italy. We chose it for it's close proximity to the train station. It made getting in and out of Florence a breeze with our bags. Chiara was "5 stars" about working with us during the booking process (even helping when we had to eliminate one night as our train connection didn't work out as we had hoped). Sergio, who checked us in was just as good. Great English skills, and even greater recommendations for restaurants (don't miss the bistecca at Trattoria Trebbio just down V. Belle Donne from SMN!!) What a perfect recommendation! They were both the best hosts we could have asked for. Even when we had the wifi router fail on us a couple of nights into the stay, they both drove into Florence from 45 min out of town at 9pm to try to fix it on a Saturday night!! It remained a problem thru the rest of the stay, but not because of them not working hard to fix it. We had a new router the day after, but that failed too on the day we were to leave. Not a real problem for us, but hope you got it all sorted out finally Chiara. We were also able to leave our bags after check out for a few hours before catching our train out to Cinque Terre. Thanks so much. Upon check-in, we found they had stocked the apartment with plenty of basic essentials - even cookies on a tray. What a joy - we had a large bottle of water in the frig, tea, coffee, sugar, creamers, etc. Great hot pot for my tea; 2 different coffee makers for my girlfriends coffee habit. As for the apartment itself - it is pretty much as the pictures show. It was very quiet (which is what we wanted), but had no view to speak of. The kitchen and twin bedroom windows look out to the side/back of a building and a some greenery with fresh air available. The windows in the double bedroom, bath & hall open onto a ventilation/open shaft about 8'x8' that goes down into the restaurant below. It does get some natural light but not much, and there is some minimal restaurant noise until about 11 pm. After that it was very quiet. If view is important to you, this might not be the place. We peeked into the other smaller apartment as it was being cleaned when we left and the views there were fabulous. For us, wanting quiet and 2 bedrooms, it was perfect. Depending on your needs, I would definitely recommend this place. It was more than comfortable, convenient and GREAT HOSTS. Really, what more can you ask for.

Wonderful Stay in Florence

Four of us stayed in unit 2. Chiaras father warmly greeted us as we walked up from the train station. It was a very lovely apartment with lots of room and comfortable. Location was excellent and very convenient. Chiara was so gracious. She patiently answered my many questions as I planned our trip. While staying there, the AC in the second room was not working properly. Chiara and her father promptly reset the unit and there were no further issues. I have never stayed in a unit with such prompt and courteous response.Chiara and her father made us feel so welcome . We would stay there again and will highly recommend to our friends and family.

Excellent location

An attractive, clean and comfortable apartment in a great location - very handy when arriving by train. Great for either eating in or for venturing out to any of the dozens of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Sergio met us and made us feel very welcome. Amazing holiday in great location

We had a wonderful stay in Unit 2. We went with our three children, aged 8, 6 and 3. There was lots to do in Florence and everything was within walking distance, including the best gelato in Florence at Gelato la Carraria which is about 5-10 min walk away. The apartment was really easy to find and very central.The apartment had everything we needed including games for the kids. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The only issue we had was with the water pressure in the evenings but after we emailed our hosts they were very quick to come out an fix it. The lack of a good shower was the only downside to this apartment and we would both recommend it and stay here again ourselves. The apartment had excellent air conditioning which we very much appreciated in August and even had a spare umbrella for the occasional thunderstorm. Thank-you for a lovely holiday.

Wonderful apartment in fantastic position

The four of us were very impressed by the well appointed, clean apartment (not the one shown in the picture but the larger quiet apartment at the back). It had everything we needed and the traditional furniture gave it such a wonderful ambiance. Sergio was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a very warm welcome, explaining how things worked and showed us on a map many different attractions. We immediately went out and found the little supermarket he told us about where we stocked up on necessary provisions. On the way we passed a side street and were thrilled to see the Duomo not far away. When we walked there the next day we were amazed how many of the major attractions were so close by. The week soon past with us enjoying historic buildings, amazing sculptures and paintings. Also a ride on a horse drawn landau and the excellent open topped, hop on, hop off bus from which we saw ( and were able to stop and visit, if we wished) the attractions further from the centre of the city and out into the countryside to Fiesole. And so many great restaurants to enjoy authentic Italian meals!

Would rent again

This unit is very quiet, has AC to block out noise and create a nice cool environment, and is great for those just arriving with jet lag and need some extra sleep at odd times. We also loved the convenient location: short walk from train station, short walk to all sites. Never had to use a bus. It made our stay in Florence much nicer. The TV room can easily be used as a third bedroom. The owners were very nice to work with.

Pretty Apartment with Wonderful Owners

This apartment and owners, Anna Maria and Chiara, are how I pictured Italy; elegant, beautiful, warm and friendly. Anna Maria was at the apartment when we arrived and showed us everything about the apartment and spent a lot of time telling us about her city and all of the wonders that we should see. She mapped out restaurants and lesser sights to see. Make sure to visit her favorite chocolate/pastry store. The apartment is in a prime location right on the square and in walking distance to the train and any of the sights in beautiful Florence. It is decorated with elegant furnishings so that you feel like you are in Italy. Our regards to both Chiara, who was very helpful and responsive in the booking, and also Anna Maria. We hope to be back there someday.

Elegante appartamento nel centro di Firenze

Ho soggiornato nella Unit 2 per un viaggio di lavoro e mi sono trovato benissimo. L'appartamento e' elegante e spazioso, arredato con gusto e curato nei minimi dettagli dalla proprietaria, che ci ha accolti al nostro arrivo. L'aria condizionata funziona bene, il wifi e'ottimo e veloce, i letti comodi. Inoltre la casa pur essendo in posizione centralissima (piazza smnovella) e' molto silenziosa perche si affaccia sulla grande corte interna del palazzo. I proprietari sono gentili e sempre disponibili. Consiglio a tutti questo appartamento, noi ripeteremo sicuramente in futuro. Grazie e a presto!

Perfect location, lovely place.

Thanks to a flight delay we arrived late but were met outside the apartment by the smiling owners. Despite the time 23.00, they were only too happy to explain everything and then to help us with the map of Florence, and what to see and do. The larger of the apartments does not have the views of the square that the small one does but don't let that put you off. The apartment is big and bright with lovely furniture and paintings. We had a great stay and recommend this apartment to anyone wanting somewhere central to everything and within five minutes of the main rail and bus station. If you find yourself there on a friday you must find the biscuit stall at the little market that appears in Santa Maria Novello square, just outside the apartment. They are to die for. Word of warning, buy more that you think you need!
