At a short distance from the center of Florence, on Chianti hills, the warm hospitality of Poggio degli Ulivi welcomes you in the idyllic setting of Tuscan countryside.
This amazing farmhouse, surrounded by a magnificent garden, with private pool and a stunning view, is the ideal place to visit Tuscany and its art cities, such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano.
It offers a living room with sofa bed, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, patio, garden, swimming pool and can accommodate 6 people
It is located in San Casciano VP, on the Tuscan hills, in the heart of Chianti, a 20-minute drive from the historic center of Florence and 30 from Siena.
This farmhouse, surrounded by a well-kept olive grove and fruit trees, is the perfect place to explore the beauty of Florence and Tuscany, and then come back to relax, far from the bustle and hustle of the city, and enjoy the cool and the beauty of our countryside, have a drink in the garden or a dinner in the patio, or dine out in one of the typical nearby restaurants. In the summertime, you can also swim or sunbathe by the private pool.
Recently renovated, the villa has been tastefully furnished with particular care and attention to details, and it is equipped with every modern comfort that will make you enjoy your wonderful holiday.
It is the ideal place for couples looking for a romantic nest, or for families with children, who can have fun in the garden and by the pool.
You enter into our villa directly from the large and bright living room with fireplace, dining table, a bookcase and two sofas. The living room has large windows that offer a splendid view over the pool and the surrounding hills. On the ground floor there is also a sofa bed (french bed, 140 cm)
On the right there is the kitchen-dining room, furnished with a typical Tuscan style, with an ancient stone sink and a long wooden table for dining; these details recall the atmosphere of the old Tuscan country houses.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need to prepare your breakfast, lunch or dinner whenever you want (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, etc. ..) and overlooks a private stone patio, furnished with a table and chairs, where you can enjoy your breakfast or sip a glass of wine watching the sunset!
On the ground floor there is one of the two double bedrooms, furnished with a walk-in closet to conveniently store your clothes and suitcases. This room overlooks a nice terrace, furnished with a coffee table and chairs.
The ground floor is completed by the master bathroom, with a tub.
A few terracotta steps lead to the upper floor where there is the second double bedroom, embellished by wooden beamed ceilings, and an en suite bathroom with shower.
All the windows in the house have mosquito nets.
Parking, exclusive swimming pool, air conditioning and Wi-Fi included.

THE AREA
The car is necessary to move around easily, to reach the village, shops, and to visit the traditional villages of Chianti area.
We can be reached by car, through the highway A1, toll exit Impruneta, and then through the Florence-Siena motorway, exit Bargino. From here 10 minutes drive will take you to Poggio degli Ulivi.
The quiet and the enchanting view of the Chianti that you will have upon your arrival, will make you immediately forget the last 2 km of dirt road.
Poggio degli Ulivi is set in a unique natural oasis surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and woods, in the amazing Tuscany countryside, far away from the hustle & bustle of the city, yet close to cities of historical and cultural interest such as Impruneta, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Greve in Chianti.
At less than 10 minutes’ drive you are at the nice village of San Casciano, where you can find supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, bars, reastaurants, laundry. Every Monday a large outdoor market is held in the village.
Located on Chianti hills, San Casciano is an elegant town surrounded by a picturesque hillocks chain inserted in a setting of pine forests, houses, mansions.
Especially in the summer the central square is animated by the terraces of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy the tranquility and coolness of this pleasant place.
It is the first municipality of the Chianti area coming from the north. A real gate to the famous land of sweet vineyards cultivated with vines.

From the first half of the sixteenth century, when the Tuscan state was consolidated under the Medici family, the demolition of the doors, towers and bastions began, and there are impressive remains of the city walls and medieval towers even today .
Among the many villas of the surrounding countryside, we have to mention at least Villa i Collazzi and Villa Tattoli,near Cerbaia,Villa Bossi-Pucci; in Sant'Andrea in Percussina, known as the Albergaccio and famous for the stay of Niccolò Machiavelli; in Cigliano Villa Antinori, famous for its wine production and tasting, and finally Villa Le Corti dei Principi Corsini.
Also some of the castles scattered in the hamlets of the municipality, are well preserved; among these the Castle of Gabbiano, that of Bibbione and that of Pergolato are worth a visit.

In the village of San Casciano, you might visit the Museum of San Casciano, the Collegiate and the Church of Mercy, where you can admire a Crucifix by Simone Martini, together with other art.
