Comfy, well equipped shed house with Ocean views. Island Time, Orchid Beach.

Hi, I'm Caylah. I'm a stay-at-home Mum with a 6-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. My partner Brent and I met at Fraser Island in 2001. Our families had been travelling to Fraser Island every year prior and have continued ever since.

We're both hard workers and aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. So, when we finally bit the bullet and purchased our very own piece of paradise, we took on all the improvements on our own. We love what we've managed to create so far and hope everyone enjoys our little home away from home as much as we do.

When we're not at our Island home, Brent works as a piler and when I'm not on child-rearing or home maintenance duties, I restore headlights, do a bit of graphic design and look after all the behind-the-scenes of Island Time. I'm always into letting my creativity out.

We think this property is perfect for the family who simply wants to stay on their own with their kids, or those who are here to go fishing. We do have enough beds to sleep 9 guests, but with 3 of those beds being single bunks, we feel it's only comfortable for a maximum of 6 adults. Being on a half-acre block, there's plenty of space for boat parking, or for the kids to run around etc.

You can enjoy the ocean breezes while watching the sun rise over the ocean in the morning with a coffee in... or even watch the whales pass through in the cooler months. It's a great home-base for those wanting to explore the top end of the Island.

We have a fairly decent off-grid power system, meaning we can accommodate the mod-cons, such as the microwave, electric kettle and toaster, sandwich press, bread maker, slow cooker, etc. and you needn't be concerned with running out of power unless the weather has been terrible.
We've recently facelifted the entire house and we're constantly aiming to improve what's on offer.
We supply pillows, mattress protectors, comforters (plus spares), bathmats, tablecloths and tea towels. We just don't supply fitted or top sheets, bath towels, beach towels or face washers (for hygiene and inventory reasons).
