This was our second September stay at this quaint little cottage. We did run into some cleaning issues. Our host responded quickly noting a new cleaner. This explained the contrast to our stay the year before. Unfortunately the dishwasher broke and was unusable for our second week, but we didn’t let this spoil our fun. We enjoyed a lovely fire in the living room this year. So cozy! The bird song is amazing when enjoying the sun room with a coffee! Good for the soul. we are looking forward to next year.

Perfect Getaway Spot!

We had an excellent stay at this perfect spot! The cabin was clean and well stocked. The sunroom is absolutely amazing and we spent a majority of our time relaxing in it! Quiet area, but lots to do a short walk or drive away! Would definitely return!

Second time staying at this house and it still has everything we need. I like the additional furniture in the gazebo and how the main bedroom was freshened up. Overall, excellent place to stay. Hosts are nice to deal with. Will sure be back again!

Perfect getaway place!

Our stay was great! Place is very nice and clean. Location is very convenient, close to the lake and places to eat. House has all the amenities and necessities for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider staying again in future. 😊

Great Lake Retreat!

Beautiful space with water and beaches close by. Very clean with lots of thoughtful touches. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch! We will definitely be back.

Awesome Mini Vacation

The place was spotless and a included everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Close to Winnipeg Beach and the boat launch. 14 km to Gimli. Great and helpful hosts and would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the cottage. Our favourite place was the screened in porch which allowed us to enjoy bug-free time outside for eating and reading. We brought our large dog and he loved it too. He slept in the dog bed provided even though he was too large. My husband took the kayak out on the lake and had a great time. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cottage and location. Everything you need. Responsive owners. We had a great time! Only complaint is in the sunroom I could always hear powerlines(?) nearby. Lots of buzz/hum. Not from cabin itself. Would stay again. Thank you!

We loved our time here. It was the perfect place to have time away from the hustle and bustle with my friends from America. This is our third “retreat“ together in Manitoba and this was by far the best. We will definitely stay here againOne of my friends is allergic to cats, we did not realize this was a cat friendly cottage as well as dog friendly (I took my doggie). She had absolutely no issues with her allergies. I think that speaks to the care that Howard and Amanda put into their property.As you may notice in other reviews of this lovely little cottage, the screened sunroom is a huge highlight. It is well appointed with comfy chairs and patio furniture, along with a large dining table to take advantage of.The kitchen is stocked with pretty much anything you would need, including a ninja blender for smoothies! It was an enjoyable experience to cook together there.Everything about this cottage suggests peaceful relaxation. We highly recommend!

Great place for a quiet vacation. Screened in deck was a wonderful place to relax and have meals without being bothered by bugs. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for making meals. My dog loved lying in the boat shaped dog bed.Close to the beach or a short drive to Winnipeg Beach for ice cream or Gimli for shopping.Definitely staying again soon.

Everything was wonderful, and we made so many great memories. We did want to mention that one of the beds was quite high, which created a safety concern when my sister nearly fell getting down. Thank you again for sharing your lovely place with us. We hope to visit again in the future! We especially loved the screened-in porch—it was so relaxing, and it was nice being able to enjoy the outdoors without any mosquitoes getting in.
