Our week at Purple Paradise was awesome! A very close walk to the beach and a pool that was well used by both the grandchildren and adults. The house was perfect for us, 6 adults and 5 children. If you want a beach atmosphere without the crowds; Dauphin Island should be your destination!

We loved Purple Paradise!! The pool was a very nice bonus and it was heated! It saved us on the last two days as it was a double red flag both days. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! I will say there is not a gate at the top of the stairs on the back deck. I couldn’t tell from the photos so I reached out and was told there was before we booked. So just a heads up if you are wanting a completely fenced in area for children or dogs. They did bring two baby gates to try to remedy the issue. We made those work in a pinch.

Spring Break Stay

Property was set up perfectly for 2 families! Short walk to the beach, warm pool for the chilly evenings during our Spring Break travels! Speedy responses from rental company with needs/questions. Well stocked kitchen and other needed odds and ends. We would definitely go back!

Alot of the kitchen stuff didnt work..stove, ice maker, garbage disposal blenders and dishwasher hadvto be run several times. Who evrr cleans the property does avterrible job

Purple Paradise’s location was great. Private pool was great. It was a short walk to the beach. Very family friendly. Cleanliness was good but could be deep cleaned at least twice a year (or more often). Mattresses and pillows need to be replaced with better quality (very uncomfortable). Stocked well but I would recommend having some better, non-stick frying pans. We had an issue with the refrigerator not being cool enough & was super inconvenient & resolution took longer than it should have in my opinion, but it was resolved by them bringing a stand-in refrigerator almost 24 hours after our check-in. The stand-in was old but very cold so we were satisfied. Repair man showed up unannounced a day after replacement was brought to us and it was at a very inconvenient time so we had to turn him away. Management should have scheduled that as soon as we checked out. We loved the island but hated the mosquitoes (they’re vicious!) and will definitely be back!!

We sincerely apologize that a repair technician arrived without notice. This does not align with our guest service standards, and we have addressed this directly with the technician to help ensure it does not happen again. While the home also receives routine deep cleans throughout the year, we appreciate your feedback and will continue looking for ways to improve the guest experience. Listing accuracy is low due to the listing indicating a functional pool; the pool had a catastrophic leak and was not functional our entire stay, to which Vrbo was notified (Adam) and did nothing to help us.Management was rated low due to lack of involvement, never showed up to witness our problem.Our experience with Vrbo was unsatisfactory due to their neglect of supporting us.

The property was nice but could’ve been cleaner. There was a layer of fine white dust all over the living room, and kitchen counters and table. The seating area in the living room could be better for larger groups and the tables in the living room were wobbly. There could’ve been easy to find instructions for the electronics, ceiling fans, etc. Overall, we had a great time in spite of the swarming mosquitoes in the aftermath of the hurricane.
