Just a phenomenal get away!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I booked this for our anniversary, and we were just so impressed with our stay! The beach to lake tahoe is only a small walk away, the room itself was comfy and beautiful! The staff were all helpful and pleasant! would absolutely recommend

Super clean, great grounds with access to a lovely beach and multiple pools, in a central location. The room itself, though also clean and a decent size with well-stocked kitchen, was very dark and oppressively hot in the loft. Despite cranking the AC to 62 degrees and running multiple fans in the loft itself, the loft would not cool down until about 10pm. This was with mild-warm weather so I can imagine it’s even worse in summer. The sofa bed was also not as advertised. It’s a sofa chaise where the sofa part extends out, but not all the rear pillows are removable so it was a super tight squeeze for my 10 yo and 8 yo to sleep on it. TLDR: ok for a 2-3 day stay but I would pick another unit at this location for a longer stay.

Loft spaces can be more challenging to cool, especially during the warmest part of the day, but we understand how frustrating that can be. We have inspected the in-wall A/C unit to ensure it’s working properly for future guests. Also for future guests to note, the unit has a wall-mounted air conditioning unit for summer and additional fans for comfort. Loft areas may feel warmer, but cooling solutions are in place. We also appreciate your comments regarding the sofa bed. Our team inspected the sofa bed after your departure and found that all the rear pillows are removable. Thank you for staying with us!

Convenient location for all of South Lake Tahoe. Condo is in need of some upgrades. Wall unit AC does not work and the loft did get very warm. We used the fans provided and it did cool off at night. The underground garage was very convenient and the beach access was the highlight.

The beach location is really nice with many dining and shopping locations nearby. In general, the complex looks attractive. This unit is badly in need of a deep carpet cleaning, followed by a flooring replacement in the next year. Staff was attentive to that complaint and requested pictures. With temps in the mid 80s during out stay, the unit was hot, and sleeping was difficult until it cooled down late at night. The small AC unit was set to max, but could not keep the unit cool enough.

Your stay dates were over a heat wave in Tahoe and unfortunately many AC units were having a hard time keeping up. For future guests to note, the AC was inspected to make sure no repairs are needed and it is working correctly for future stays. Great location - loud unit

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The proximity to the beach was a plus, but the building itself is dated and showing signs of wear. One of the elevators was out of service throughout our stay, which made things difficult for guests. The unit was in fair condition—functional, but nothing special. The bedroom lacked windows and ventilation, making it uncomfortably hot at night. On the positive side, the property management team was responsive and courteous. Overall, the stay was okay, but we’re unlikely to return to this specific unit.

I gave this condo 5 stars because it's exactly as described. There were no surprises. The check in was smooth. The communication was great. It's not the Ritz, but it was what we wanted.The Condo: Perfect for two people. Very clean, well stocked kitchen for cooking, with pots, pans, dishware, and utensils. There were a oouple of spices left in the cabinet but you should plan on getting or bringing your own. The living room furniture was comfortable. There is a wall unit A/C on the main floor, and a firepace. Also, the bathroom is on the main floor, not fancy, but adequate. Pump dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the shower. Pump dispensers of soap at each sink with an extra dish soap in the kitchen. Kitchen sink is a bit small. There is a diswasher. No laundry in the unit.The bedroom is in the loft. There is sink up there, but no toilet. The bed was comfortable. The loft was a little warm at times as the A/C is on the main floor. They provided 2 box fans, so I placed one at the bottom of the stairs to direct cool, main floor, air up. It worked fine.You can hear the road noise, but the A/C drowned out most of it. There are 2 chairs on the patio, we found them uncomfortable and not tall enough to see over the patio wall. I wish condo owners would use bar height chairs on the patios.All in all, a nice place to stay. It;s about a mile to Heavenly Village. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

For future guests to note, our listings and photos are accurate and up to date. Also for future guests to note, Lakeland Village was built in 1973, almost 50 years ago. It is a fabulously unique property, as it is right on the lake, with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and walking to groceries and dining. Many of our guests find the potential ambient road noise a fair tradeoff for the prime location/walkability of the unit to the lake, restaurants, and grocery stores. There are no other properties like this in South Lake Tahoe, and there will never be another, due to building restrictions around the lake. We hope we can host you again soon!
