From the owner: "Hi Danielle,Thank you for your review. We are glad you were able to have a success move-in to Virginia Tech. As alumni of VT we wish you a successful college career."

From the owner: "Hi Heidi, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Glad you were able to enjoy all the amenities available to you. We hope you had a successful dive meet and hope to see you again!"

It’s great to hear the home was a comfortable fit for your group and that communication was smooth. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your comments, and they wanted to share the following:- We were happy to offer an early check-in at no additional cost to help you settle in comfortably.- We do have air fresheners in the home, but since it’s an older property that isn’t used between every stay, we understand it may develop a scent. Our cleaner didn’t notice anything unusual but completed an extra cleaning just to be safe.- We’ve provided printed check-out instructions in the home to make things easier—there aren’t multiple sets of rules, just a handy reminder so guests don’t have to search their phones.- We’ve recently installed a WiFi-enabled thermostat so we can monitor the temperature remotely and ensure everything is set appropriately after check-out.Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

From the owner: "Hi there, we're truly sorry that your trip was impacted and understand how disappointing this must have been. Unfortunately, a severe ice storm caused a power outage at the property, and despite our efforts to get it restored quickly, the electric company was not able to resolve the issue until Sunday afternoon. Because of these unforeseen circumstances, we had no choice but to cancel the reservation for your safety and comfort. We contacted Evolve as soon as we became aware of the issue and provided documentation from the electric company to ensure transparency. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this caused and hope you were able to find alternative accommodations. Thank you for your feedback."
