About the home
âCasa Bluâ is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just metres from the beach and a short drive from all of the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The large downstairs Living Room (with smart TV, DVD player & ~50 x DVD movie library) is a fantastic second Living space, providing access to Bedroom 3, a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine, clothes dryer & doggy door) / Bathroom (with shower & toilet), plus access to the Patio.
Upstairs is the open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV & Sonos soundbar) that leads out to the Deck. Also on this level are Bedrooms 1 & 2 (each with BIR) and a Bathroom (with bath, shower & a toilet).
Outdoor Areas
The Downstairs covered Patio (with table & chairs for 8) overlooks the delightful rear yard which is perfect for children and features a hammock, swing chair and firepit (wood not provided) with seating for 8 people. The rear yard is not enclosed, but there is a separate fully enclosed small courtyard outside the Bathroom/Laundry that is suitable for pets (dogs larger than 15kg to stay outside please).
The upstairs deck (with gas BBQ, 2 x armchairs and 6-seater table with chairs & bench seats) has incredible uninterupted water views over the rear yard and nature reserve. The single Garage (with 2nd fridge, beach trolley, chairs & tent) has internal access into the home and parking for one car, with space for another car in front of the Garage.
Please note there are security cameras at the home. They do not view any private areas.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, DeLonghi Lattissima Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge (and a 2nd fridge in the Garage), dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioner in the upstairs Living room, wall mounted fans in each of the bedrooms, a bladelss fan in the downstairs Living Room, wall mounted electric heating in all bedrooms, the downstairs Living Room and upstairs Bathroom, plus an electric blanket on the upstairs Queen bed.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 7 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks and one Single trundle bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two Single beds (that can be pushed together to make a short King bed)
The dimensions of the combined beds in Bedroom 3 are 1920mm x 1920mm, so King sheets are the best fit.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
