About the home
“The Seaside Haven” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just metres from the Cowes Beach and Anderson Boat Ramp, and short drive to the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, the central hallway provides access to Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 (each with BIR, Bedroom 2 & 3 with smart TV's - no FTA channels), a Bathroom (with shower over a bath & toilet) and a fully equipped European Laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer). Upstairs is the open plan Kitchen/Dining Living Room (with smart TV & portable soundbar) that flows out to the first floor Deck, and an adjoining second Living Room/Landing at the top of the stairs with a desk & chair. A short hallway leads to the second Bathroom (with shower & toilet) and Bedroom 1.
Outdoor Areas
The large semi-covered first floor Deck (with Weber BBQ, Lounge area for 6 people & table/chairs for 6 people) also has 2 x awnings that can be extended to provide more cover. It wraps around the front and side of the home, overlooking the fully enclosed rear yard, which is perfect for children and small pets. The Garage is not available to guests, but there is space to park 1 vehicle (car &/or a boat - 10m x 2.3m) in the driveway, with additional parking available on the street.
Please note there are security cameras outside the home. They do not view any private areas in the home.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, DeLonghi Nespresso Inissia pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle split-systems; one in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room and the other at the base of the stairs, ceiling fans in all bedrooms, plus 4 x additional stand-alone heaters and 2 x fans which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 10 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Double bed
There is also a Double sofa bed in the upstairs Living Room that is suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
