About the home
"Bayview Cottage" is set in delightful Ventnor with established gardens and amazing views of Western Port Bay and out across to Flinders and the Peninsula. Only an 8 min walk from the beach, some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The entire home is light and bright - there is a central open-plan modern kitchen/dining/living area (with smart TV and DVD player). Adjacent to the dining table is the coonara fireplace; from this area, guests have access to the large rear deck. There is a bathroom (with over-sized walk-in shower), a separate toilet, and bedrooms 1 & 2 have built in robes. There is a step down to a built-in partitioned area in the living room that serves as a 3rd bedroom. A separate laundry is accessed off the front veranda.
Pets are welcome indoors but not on furniture or beds please.
Outdoor Areas
The welcoming front veranda is a lovely place to sit and relax and take in the peaceful surrounds. There is a long driveway with room for cars and a boat. The large deck (with bbq and seating for 12 people) with stunning water views has a hot water outdoor shower. The entire property is fully enclosed (perfect for children and pets alike), and contains a springfree trampoline for the kids.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, Aldi pod coffee machine, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, and electric cook top and oven.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has a wall mounted reverse cycle air-conditioning unit in the open plan kitchen/dining/living room, ceiling fans in both bedrooms plus a coonara wood heater and 2 additional ceiling fans in the living room, three portable fans and two mobile heaters to be used where required. There is also an electric blanket (stored in the master bedroom cupboard) for the queen bed.

This home has 4 beds accommodating up to 6 guests:

Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
