We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed this property! The location was perfect—right on the beach with an amazing view, and far enough away from everything to truly relax and unwind. It was so peaceful being able to enjoy the beach and beautiful surroundings without all the crowds and busyness. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was exactly the kind of getaway we were looking for, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

It is a beautiful property and the views are amazing. A few dust bunnies under the table and bed but everything else was very clean. I would totally stay here again.

This cottage had breath taking views of Lake Superior and blew our expectations away. The high ceiling and tons of living space was perfect for our families stays. The most disappointing part of our stay was that it wasn’t longer! This cottage is an excellent choice to stay at.

Annual Winter Trip

This is our 2nd winter booking a long weekend at the Superior Retreat and it did not disappoint. The house truly feels like a home away from home and is the perfect spot to enjoy family time with our MTU Husky. We hope to be back next year!

Rock hunting

Went to Lake Superior for it's colorful beach rocks. Had a great time, came home with lots of decorative rocks. The house we stayed in was wonderful. Love the floor heat. The host was wonderful, very accommodating.

Awesome property

This is a fantastic VRBO property. The access and views of the beach and Lake Superior is stunning and relaxing. We spent 3 days with family and enjoyed making dinners, sitting on the patio with the chiminea and taking walks on the beach. Great hosts and fantastic amenities. Everything in the description is accurate. Will be back!!

Quiet and Relaxation on Lake Superior

This house was perfect for our family (6 adults - my wife and I and our 2 children and their spouses). It is remote enough for quiet and relaxation, yet close enough to Houghton and many great attractions in the Keweenaw The views of Lake Superior are stunning, especially at sunset. Spacious, well-furnished, comfortable, and delightful are suitable adjectives to describe the Superior Retreat.

Just 2 nights was way too short of a stay. Loved the view, the seclusion and amenities. Gorgeous sunsets! Black sand beach (ice cold water) Good internet in the home thanks to their starlink. No phone reception until 5 miles towards Houghton (just so you know). I'd definitely stay here again.
