This home’s elegant black, white, and neutral décor is the perfect frame for spectacular views over the forest to the Pacific, with trees shielding the highway and parting for a perfect view down to the kelp-forested cove, where you can see gray whales blowing and surfacing with the naked eye. Large windows and high ceilings open to sea and sky from the sophisticated great room, with a living room punctuated by leather seating, a large gas fireplace, a chandelier, and a TV with a sound bar. Dine with a view from a table that seats eight, with four additional seats at the quartz breakfast bar. The cooks on your guest list will delight in the electric range, stainless-steel upscale appliances, and the ocean-view farmhouse sink. We have a wonderful stay at the rental. There were 8 of us including our 90 old mom. We picked the place because the main entry level has everything needed for my mom without her needing to walk up and down stairs. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, has a great view of the ocean and we enjoy watching sunset while eating dinner. The kitchen was well equipped, except other than salt and pepper, you will need to bring your own spice and condiment if you are planning to make any meal. We also wish there was at least one hair dryer in the house. Overall we have a great time and we will stay there again.

Depoe Bay Review Nice property and an EXCELLENT location! Beautiful views from the deck!! 10/10 for location and views. The listing states it sleeps 9, but I wouldn’t recommend this location for adults only. We had 6 adults (no children) and the 3 bedrooms downstairs are VERY small and share one TINY bathroom. The bathroom was so small the adults downstairs couldn’t even put their bathroom items into the bathroom and hard to carry their items from their bedroom. The bedrooms are also fairly small and the 4 adults had to put their suitcases and clothes into the 3rd bedroom to gain more space. The upstairs master bedroom was spacious and had a nice size bathroom and shower! I wish the downstairs had a similar bathroom for people to share. Theresa deck was nice to sit and look at the views, however, there are only 2 chairs in the deck. I would recommend they get more outdoor seating since this location states it can hold 9 people. The hot tub was on the lower level and it was nice, however, the brush is growing OVER the fence. This was frustrating to walk around the hot tub area. The house itself hasn’t had outdoor maintenance in awhile. There are a TON of weeds growing all over the property. It was nice to have the kitchen, however, the utensils and cooke ware are very cheap. I had to go buy a spatula that would actually work to cook eggs in the morning. The kitchen also didn’t have any cleaners and we stayed for a week! We had to go buy our own cleaners to cleanup

Fourth of July at the beach.

We've been coming to the Oregon coast for more than 20 years. We've stayed at many of these homes before they were all managed by a third party. First, the home was new and lovely. The views from the deck were amazing. The neighborhood was walking distance to Depoe Bay and to wale watching in the cove across the street. Although the house was new and great, the house was dirty. Not dirty as in the floor, counter tops and bathrooms, but rather there was dust everywhere and the cleaners just didn't dust. Perhaps this place doesn't rent that often. In addition, we had some minor black ant issues within the kitchen. We could not store food on the counter or leave any dirty dishes in the sink. We found a trap under one of the bathroom sinks and placed it in the kitchen. We called the management company to no avail. They did bring us out some more garbage bags as the home only came with two initially. We also saw a small mouse late at night and informed the management company. All they wanted to do was bring a trap out during out stay, we kindly said no and decided to enjoy the additional house guest. The reason for the four star rating falls directly on the management company.

The home was beautiful in a great location and safe neighborhood with gorgeous views of the ocean. However, there were a numerous things that deflated the experience given the price rendered for a family vacation. First was the downstairs shower tube that drained very slowly and you had to wait 15-20 minutes between usage to not be standing in ankle deep water. Second was the amount of pests, both wood ants and sugar ants, in the upstairs and downstairs and out around the hot tube, we even had them crawling on the bed the first night. Third was the window shades that wouldn’t roll up in two of the three rooms downstairs. Fourth was the mouse traps left out in the downstairs rooms, pests must be very prevalent and an ongoing issue in the home. The condition encountered would be expected in a cheap hotel along the freeway, not in an upper-end new developed neighborhood. My hope is that this Meredith Lodging doesn’t run and maintain all of their properties the way this one appeared to us on our family trip, not worth the price at all.

Thanksgiving Getaway

This is a beautiful home in Depoe Bay. It is nicely appointed and the view is breathtaking. It has a great kitchen, gorgeous and well stocked. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner so we really enjoyed the nice dishes and glassware and we loved the gorgeous view from the dining room table! Nice master suite, again with a stunning view! Comfortable beds and linens with extra blankets in several places. We also enjoyed the hot tub; it's very private and the great views are visible while relaxing in it. With the exception of the master suite, all bedrooms are downstairs but only one small bathroom is on that level, not convenient but certainly not a deal breaker. We were only there for two nights over Thanksgiving so we didn't spend much time in Depoe Bay but we did go to nearby Fogarty State park; it was beautiful and uncrowded with rocks and tide pools! My favorite kind of beach! We had a great time, would happily have stayed longer and would love to return return!

Baseball Tournament

This property was clean and quiet. Slept all of us comfortably. Kids had fun with ping pong and foosball. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Short drive to where we needed to go. We would defiantly stay here again.

Beautiful Depoe Bay Home

The rental home in Depoe Bay is beautiful with views of the ocean from the living and master bedroom. We found a few worrisome problems. We smelled gas in the vicinity of the hot tub. The huge master bath had no safety mat inside or outside of the shower. The floor turns very slippery when water hits it. I considered it very dangerous, especially since I am in my mid eighties. The shower head appears to be about seven feet high, not adjustable for me at 5ft.6 inches. ALL waste baskets, even in the kitchen, are tiny. The ONLY exit downstairs to the hot tub is through the "game room" which is actually a bedroom with two bunks and a sleeper sofa. While the house was clean, there were utensils with dried eggs, etc.

Beautiful home with lovely views

Amazing house with great furniture and well stocked kitchen. Perfect for a quiet getaway but close enough to get to things you want to do. Cozy fireplace and the beds were very comfortable which is not always the case with rental homes. I would recommend this house and stay again!
