Loved this beachy cottage right on the water. We were there to see birds, and the place delivered - close to Point Pelee, walking distance to Hillman Marsh, meanwhile plenty of swallows, martins and other treats to see from the hot tub!

We enjoyed our stay at this well kept and clean cottage. I loved the cottage decor and ambiance. Thanks for allowing us to bring our fur baby also. She liked the new smells and sounds.This was her first away from home holiday.We couldn’t think of one thing that was missing. This was such a great cottage! This cottage had absolutely everything we needed and more. It was comfortable, clean and had so many areas to just sit back and relax. We brought our dog and he was so comfortable as well. If you are considering going booking, it is worth it. Communication was easy and it didn’t lack anything! Everything about our stay was perfect. The cottage was perfectly maintained, clean and cute. The lakefront view was stunning from any window. The firepit area was so relaxing with the water right next to us, and the hot tub was fantastic. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and the booking was exactly as advertised. This place was like a little piece of heaven! The cottage was emaculate when we arrived and the decor is wonderful - fishing village/beach vibe. It was so soothing listening to the waves right outside while sitting on the patio or having the window open at night. There is a spectacular willow tree over the lower patio which shielded us from the light rain so we were still able to enjoy being outside when we got some misty weather. We thoroughly enjoyed spending each evening in the hot tub, although the jets weren't as strong as I usually like, but that's personal preference. Watching the sunrise and moon rise over the water (which I have never seen like that) was spellbinding! We spent a lot of time exploring the area, little beaches, shops, went kayaking in Point Pelee (the cottage has an annual family pass available for use) and actually spent much more time at the cottage than we normally would because it was so homey and well stocked. Breanna was very quick to answer any questions and after I realized my husband accidentally threw our wet bathing suits (packed in a garbage bag) in the garbage, she found them and mailed them back to us! What a wonderful stay and we will certainly be back!

We had an amazing experience at Sunrise Retreat. The space was clean, and had everything you need to cook, relax, and enjoy the view. Some extra nice touches like wine and cupcakes waiting for us when we arrived. The view is spectacular and the cozy fireplace made for some great nights in. Highly recommend!! We will be back :)

Beautiful View

We had a wonderful stay directly on Lake Erie. Our host was very welcoming and we enjoyed eating dinner while listening to the waves and watching the passing gulls, terns, and cormorants. Point Pelee is just a short drive away and Hillman Marsh was a great birding spot. We would stay here again.

We loved our stay. We enjoyed seeing some beautiful sunrises and moonlight lake from the deck. The cottage had everything we needed and had a relaxing, nautical feeling to it. The owner was very accessible and responsive to any questions. The welcome note and treats were a pleasant way to start our vacation.
