The Space:
A Drop of The Sea is a gorgeous 2 bed 2 bath oceanfront apartment in Luquillo, one of the most popular beach towns in Puerto Rico. You and your guests will love the unobstructed ocean views viewable from the living room, dining room, and breezy terrace. The living room has a large flat-screen TV with cable. There is high-speed WIFI throughout the property which comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom features a full-size bed and the second bedroom has a bunk bed with two full-size beds. All bedrooms have air conditioning. There are two full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for extended stays. The kitchen has a microwave, stovetop, full-size fridge, and small toaster oven. The unit also has a washer and dryer, great for an extended stay!
BUILDING SURROUNDINGS: THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX IS CALLED BELLO MAR AND IS LOCATED IN BARRIO FORTUNA, LUQUILLO. WHILE SOME PROPERTIES IN THE AREA MAY NOT BE IN THE BEST CONDITION, OURS IS WELL-KEPT. PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE BOOKING.
LIVING AREAS
A Drop of The Sea has an open living and dining room overlooking the balcony and beautiful beach. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a large flat-screen smart TV. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony, and you will feel like you are literally on the beach. It does not get closer to the ocean than this! Please note that there is no AC in this area - only the bedrooms have AC.
BEDROOMS
The master bedroom has a full-size bed and a dedicated full bathroom. There is a flat-screen TV. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with two full beds and a closet. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning.
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
KITCHEN
The kitchen has everything you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen was recently outfitted with a new fridge, stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The kitchen layout allows you to socialize with guests in the dining and living room and enjoy the beach views while you cook.
GETTING AROUND:
Renting a car is a must when staying in Luquillo. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance, and the roads are easy to navigate. The villa includes 1 parking spot.
LOCATION
A Drop of The Sea is located at Fortuna Beach in Luquillo, PR. Luquillo is well known for its refreshing trade winds and large palm trees, which provide plenty of shade. The location provides quick and easy access to some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, El Yunque Rainforest, and boat tours and water activities based out of Fajardo. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:
Chill at the beach! There is a sandy beach 5 minute walking distance from the apartment.
Lunch or dinner at Los Kioskos de Luquillo. There are over 25 restaurants in the Caribbean beachfront restaurant strip. One of our favorites is "La Parrilla".
Take a surfing lesson right at La Pared Beach. There are multiple surf schools located on this beach and it is a 5-minute walk away from the apartment.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 10-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. A Drop of The Sea is a 45 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There's a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to be had.
Charter a boat from Fajardo. There are many boats you can charter for day trips to neighboring islands and coral reefs. You can choose from large boats that sell tickets or smaller boats you can rent out for private trips with a captain.

STARTER AMENITIES
At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest.
We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:
- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)
- 3 garbage bags
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)
- 1 dish soap
- 1 dish sponge
- A small amount of laundry detergent
Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.
Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.
HOUSE RULES
RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. You will be asked to upload a valid photo ID - no selfies - that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.
NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.
UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 4 adults/children at all times, including visitors.
OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.
TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.
TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.
SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.
If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.
If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.

TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.
Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.
