Beautiful home! The house was clean, and so thoughtfully equipped. We enjoyed the dock, kayaks, and water mat—they made our time on the lake even more special. Communication with the owner was excellent!We hope to return someday!

We did have a mishap on first day where one of ac units was not cooling upstairs. People who were supposed to sleep in beds had to resort to couch’s due to broken ac units host had problem fixed the next day with ac techs fixing system. House was gorgeous and lake access phenomenal. Had most of everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Would definitely stay again. Host was very communicative and tried to ease the situation as fair as possible.

Beautiful home

Easy check in to a large, beautiful home. Tons of space to spread out, hang out, eat Abe check out views of the lake while doing it. Love the house for a large group, would definitely go back!

Perfect Home for Our Girlfriends' Getaway Retreat!

Great location. The house was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Our point of contact was very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing home away from home getaway.

April Golf Trip

This house was perfect for our 20 person group. Straight forward check in and check out procedures, very clean, plenty of space, and a very cool dock with a big table and chairs. Highly recommend this place for big groups!

Great lakehouse getaway!

My husband and I rented this out with our friends for a long wedding weekend. We got married on my family farm in Hartwell and needed a fun place to host out of town friends for the weekend. The place was great for our size group and we used every bed! Master suite was the perfect place for a bridal suite to get ready in.

Beautiful house and lake

The house was perfect for a large family. There were 18 of us and we were all able to spread out and have our own privacy. The house is actually bigger than the pictures. We never felt cramped but were able to do so many activities simultaneously. The dock at the lake is also spacious and allowed us to fish, boat, swim and suntan all at the same time. I would highly recommend this property for large families. It is one of our best VRBO rental experiences ever.

Fantastic

The house was very spacious and nice and for the most part clean. The dock area and lake was amazing. We rented a boat and had a great time on the water. Only complaint is that the oven wasn’t working properly and the dishwasher and sink in the powder room were also not working. Overall we had a great time and our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Great for big families

We had an amazing time! We had 12 adults and 9 kids. Everyone had their own room and own space. The kids loved the playroom and the bunk room. The house is on a quiet street where they could ride scooters. We will definitely be back. The only down side was the dishwasher wasn’t working, so we had to hand wash everything.

Great vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hartwell! Suzanne and Eric were awesome their responsiveness to a few issues was immediate. There was plenty or room and the kitchen was fully equipped and amazing!! The grills worked great and the water was perfect. We did have a small issue with the air in one bedroom upstairs but found a solution with the hosts help. Recommendation would be to replace the couches in the main den as they seem to swallow you up when you sit on them. The downstairs den was the perfect place for the kids to hang out! Would definitely look at renting again!

Family Reunion Trip

We had a great family reunion at this lake house. Plenty of rooms and space for our 20 family members. We spent most of our time down by the lake on the dock, and rented a boat for tubing and waterskiing. We were amazed at how quiet and peaceful it was, and we rarely saw people out on the water. Overall great experience. The WiFi and TV reception was very spotty but that was mentioned in the description. If a solution can be put in place for future stays would be a great amenity. We were able to stream movies on the tv for family movie nights from our phones so it worked out.
