Jan thank you for your review on the Avalon Property. The screened in porch, back yard pier and boat house are all wonderful amenities that this house offers. I will glad to share your feedback about the mattresses to the owner, but with mattresses a lot of times it relates to personal taste. The maintenance team has been notified about the squeaky door in the guest bedroom and it is nice to hear that the emergency team responded to you quickly. We hope that you enjoyed your stay I am sorry that you found the bed uncomfortable and hope that you will return next year.

Richard, We apologize for the issues experienced during your stay. We did not find any notes as to where you called us regarding your issues. Please note that we have staff available 24/7 to assist with any issues that arise. We would have been happy to send a cleaner to assist with the issues had we been made aware. Bryon, I appreciate your feedback and truly apologize if you felt that any of the staff members were threatening and made you uncomfortable, I can assure you, that was not our intent. We do require a contract, as all professional property management companies do in NC (per the law). We hope that all our guest have wonderful vacations and return year after year. Your reservation was made the day prior to arriving so I reviewed your contract and notes that the staff left and the only issue I saw was that you were emailed for the ages of everyone in your group due to the occupancy on the contract only listed two people that did not meet the age requirements of our contract. I am sorry if this offended you. I hope that you understand we work for our owners and have policies in place to protect their interest and as such, we have a fiduciary duty to uphold those policies. Avalon is a great property to stay in, fish off the dock or just relax on the screened in porch so I hope that you and your family did get enjoy your weekend. If you reach out again, and book in advance, I am sure you will find our southern charm!!

Great to hear you enjoyed Avalon, William! The private dock and boat house are perfect for launching all your water activities! After spending time out in the harbor, enjoy a nice lunch in the boathouse right over the water and listen to the waves and boats go by.
