Das Nest: Moderne Chic auf Bend West Side

Willkommen im Nest ... eine warme und einladende, aber moderne und zeitgenössische Bend nach Hause. Es wurde neu im Jahr 2017 umgebaut und ist genau das Richtige für Einzelreisende oder Paare, die einen besonderen gemütlichen Rückzugsort suchen. Hohe Gewölbedecken und rundum machen diesen Raum hell und luftig. Es hat einen schönen voll ausgestattete Küche mit einem Hauch von Klasse mit Metzger Block Zähler, U-Bahn-Fliesen, Bauernhaus Waschbecken und allen neuen Geräten, ist es so viel Spaß macht zu "speisen-in" als auswärts essen.

Das Nest bietet komfortablen Wohnraum mit einem großen Flachbild-TV, Schreibtisch für Arbeit und kostenloses WLAN im gesamten Gebäude. Es ist eine nette Gaskamin sowie sowohl Wärme, Romantik und Charme zu bieten. Das brandneue Pillow-Top-Kingsize-Bett garantiert eine angenehme Nachtruhe nach einem Spaß Bend-Tag. Starten oder am Ende des Tages bequem in die große begehbare Dusche gefliest hinter dem Schiebe Scheune Holztür, gestaltet mit bis-radelte Holz aus dem ursprünglichen Bend-Sägemühle.

Die praktischen Dinge wie den privaten Parkplatz, in voller Größe Waschmaschine / Trockner, und zusätzlichen Stauraum im Waschraum machen dieses Haus genau richtig.
Schlendern Sie nur drei Blocks zum Galveston Avenue District und 10 Barrel Brewing Co, die Lebensmittelwagen Platz, Fahrradläden, Bäckereien und vieles mehr. Oder steigen Sie auf den beiden klassischen Fahrräder vom Memorial Day bis zum Labor Day und genießen Sie die Seiten wie Sie spinnen. Der Deschutes Fluss in Columbia Park ist weniger als einen Block entfernt und sorgt für wunderbare Spaziergänge.

Dieses Haus ist ein eigenständiges Haus, aber es ist zu The Cumberland House benachbart und kann allein oder in Verbindung mit dem großen Haus gemietet werden. Bend & Cascades Adventure!

My partner and I stayed a week in this studio which was our perfect home base for exploring bend and the surrounding cascade mountains and high desert. The property was new, clean, and functional and our host was responsive. Amenities are a short walk and great vibe. I plan to return for my next cycling training camp!

Everything is walkable!

Very nice place! Close to all you would need. I would recommend better signs to find the place-it was a bit confusing to find and for deliveries-our Uber eats was left up top. Erin was awesome and super flexible and helpful! Highly recommend!

Our Stay in Bend

We sure enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable, and was located in a great location. Would have been nice to have a closet for hanging clothes. The cottage needs a deep cleaning, primarily windows and floors. The hot tub was relaxing. The outside entrance where the deck and hot tub are smells like a litter box. Aside from these issues all was great. Thank you.

Wonderful gem in a great area!

This property was perfect for our long weekend in Bend. It is located close to restaurants and local attractions, while in a quiet neighborhood. The property is tastefully decorated in a modern industrial design and well appointed. The two person hot tub is perfect on a cold Bend evening!

Thanks so much for the note about the home being well appointed, clean, and comfortable. That’s just what we strive for! We feel so lucky that Bend has these quaint alley entrances in our neighborhood, and that they provide such wonderful designated off-street parking (at a premium on the trendy Westside) so close to the door. Such easy access for loading and unloading groceries, bikes, floaties for the river, kayaks, skis, etc. --- all the toys we use so regularly in beautiful Bend! The Nest is close to great dining, bike shops, groceries, brew pubs, the river and much more that are all just an easily walk or ride away. We treasure the fact that our guests get to experience Bend like a native, in a great location and in a great home, right down to two giggling little girls in a hot tub next door. You can't help but be happy in Bend! Thanks again for writing and come back to The Nest again soon.

Excellent Property for Two!

We had a great stay! Short walk to Old Mill, Columbia Park, Drake Park, Downtown and the Park and Ride. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The property was clean and as advertised. Dear Mom Thai Café was some of the best Thai food we have ever had outside of Thailand. Also, being vegetarian, Active Culture vegetarian restaurant was a great find and is located a short walk away across the Columbia Park bridge. Erin was a great host and was very quick to respond to all of our inquiries. We will definitely stay here again if it is available next time we are in Bend.

Not too far from Riverbend park (30 min walk) where we went for an event. Super convenient to not have to drive and park. There were bicycles but we didn't get around to trying them.Cute dwelling but could be cleaner (stain on bedding, dirt under the bed, mold in washer dryer).Not a deal breaker if you're just spending the nights.Based on other reviews, this could just be us but the bed was very uncomfortable, it was hard, sagging and hurt our backs.Kitchen was very convenient but no pantry supplies so plan to buy your own oil, condiments, dressings etc. Some spices were provided. I am used to seeing more pantry supplies in coast rentals but maybe it was left over by other guests in that case. We did use the kitchen more than most and it served us well.Some tips if you plan to stay here: - Bring your own pillows unless you like super high pillows- The parking for Unit 2 is a long, very narrow unpaved path that is tricky to maneuver even with a sedan (three points turn needed)Overall a decent place for two if you plan to explore Bend for few days and can sleep easily anywhere.

This house is in a great location, and I am glad you enjoyed it! I was surprised about your comments regarding the beds... I know that bed and pillow comfort is very personal as shown by our recent positive reviews specifically mentioning the comfortable beds in this home, but I will be sure to follow up. The parking spot in this house is actually poured concrete, though the city alleyway leading to it is indeed unpaved. It is a single spot made for just one car, though really nice to have since it is private and off street so you do not have to fight for parking in the public areas. I was confused about your cleanliness comments, as that is absolutely atypical in my homes, especially since you sited under beds being unclean and we have solid bed platforms that go all the way to the ground so we have no under bed area. My two cleaners have been working exclusively for our company for over a decade, but feedback like this allows us to continue to train and retrain to make sure we are offering a great guest experience each time. Thank you for staying while enjoying our great little city.

Great spot in Bend!

We enjoyed a 10 day stay here. The place feels bigger in person than it looks in photos, plenty of space for two people very comfortably. It was sparkling clean, is stocked with all the towels, appliances and dishes you'd need, and communication with Erin was awesome. We had a small issue with the internet on day 1 (not Erin's fault, internet in Bend is tough to begin with) and she fixed it super quickly AND sent us a small refund to cover our lunch/coffee while we had to leave the property to work at a coffee shop for the day. Such a kind gesture! The location is killer, you can walk to all the best spots from here, and the small hot tub was amazing - we used it every day! My only piece of feedback is that this place reallyyyyy needs a new mattress. If you were staying for 2-3 nights it wouldn't be a big deal, but 10 nights was definitely rough.

I am so glad you enjoyed your long stay here at The Nest. The space is small, but comfortable. And the location makes it even that much better! We loved hosting you for your visit. On a related note: we have new mattresses on order! Though we have been at the mercy of slow supply chains, they are now scheduled to be delivered and in the house by August 7. Come back for another visit to test them out!

Great location, new finishes

This rental is well decorated and appointed, and appears to have been newly built or renovated. The kitchen is spacious and is equipped with everything you need to prepare a nice meal. The fire place in the bedroom/living area is a nice touch and quickly heats up the space. The location can't be beat and the hot tub is perfect for apres ski. It's small, but clean and perfect for two. Some small nit picks that we've enjoyed at other places: There isn't any shampoo or conditioner available and body soap is a small bar. If you're staying for longer than 5 or 6 days, you'll want to pack your own or buy some. Temperature was difficult to control, there are multiple sources throughout and it can get a little weird modulating everything, especially at night (we were too hot most nights). The television is light sensitive, meaning if you're watching in a dark room, the tv screen gets really dark. We had to shine a bright light on the sensor while we were watching (we couldn't find a remote for the tv that would allow us to disable the setting). There is no speaker or radio in the home and the tv audio is pretty low if you want to play some tunes while you eat. The checkout/cleaning procedures are a little more stringent than any of the other places I have stayed, just be aware if you want to take a shower or prepare breakfast in the morning before you leave. Many items have to be fully cleaned/dried before the 11am checkout to avoid additional cleaning charges. Otherwise a nice stay and for the price, would likely return.

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the modern newness and the well-appointed set-up of the Nest --- we always strive to make our places uber-comfortable. And of course that wonderful hot tub is always a plus after a day of having Bend-fun! I'm sorry that you were disappointed to not find personal hygiene items though. We have made a deliberate choice within our rental company, to be earth-aware and to avoid the waste that comes along with providing those small plastic products. We feel its a small step but a good one in the right direction. Trying to find that happy balance.... I have always enjoyed having that cute fireplace for additional cozy atmosphere (and that nice warm heat) but when I run it I do turn off the central heat system if it gets too warm, rather than run both. I just love melting into the nice warm hear after a day on the mountain. When I do settle in to relax I find the upgraded cable access offers wonderful music selections of all kinds ----I'm sorry you didn't find those options, but will put a newly updated channel-selection sheet in The Nest for future guests so they can enjoy their music. In order to keep our housekeeping costs reduced (and they are lower than industry average) we ask that our guests run their used towels through the wash, take their garbage to the outside can, and run the dishwasher if they have dirty dishes. This is very standard in most vacation rentals and allows us the option to keep our guests costs lower, which we all enjoy. Really we so enjoy sharing our home with good guests that it just all seems to work. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and hope to see you back in beautiful Bend very soon.

Lovely little place in a great location

We loved our stay at the Nest in Bend. Very modern and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook a meal. The shower was very nice. Definitely recommend staying here.

My favorite feature about The Nest: the high ceilings. I know that doesn't seem impressive or special, but let me tell you... for being adorable and tiny, this house feels so open and spacious with it's 18' ceilings and lots of natural light. It feels like a big city loft with all the quaint charm of Bend. Every time I walk in to The Nest, my head naturally looks up and takes it all in. Every. Single. Time.
