Der Drake West Bungalow wurde 1919 als eines der ursprünglichen Häuser für die Holzfäller gebaut, die in dieser Zeit die Gegend besiedelten. Loved it!

This was a great stay. We (couple) and our pup loved the house, backyard and location. Nice and easy walk to DT over the pedestrian bridge. Excellent restaurants and food trucks nearby. Look forward to returning soon!

Adorable Bungalow

Cute bungalow within walking distance to several great restaurants, and a lovely walk through Drake Park to Downtown Bend and more restaurants. It had everything you will need for 2 people. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with cookware. We will stay there again next time we are in Bend.

Perfect location

We loved our stay at this property. The house is even better in person. It is well appointed and private. It is in a very charming neighborhood with tons of food and drink options just a block or two away. We really enjoyed walking along the river into town. I would definitely recommend!

Cozy home in Bend

We so enjoyed our stay at the West Side Bungalow in Bend. Check-in was super easy. Erin was incredibly responsive. The house is in a great neighborhood -- walkable to great food, groceries, coffee, parks, and 1 block from the river. The house had everything we needed, was well-appointed, bed was super comfy and the sheets were soft. My only recommendation would be to add a couple ottomans to the chairs in the main sitting room, so when you are reading you can put your feet up. That said, we'd love to come back and visit for longer! Bend is a beautiful town and this was a cozy home away from home.

Perfect spot for a couple

My partner and I and our dog loved our stay here. The place is very cute, great kitchen and backyard. Location is incredible, walked to get breakfast and dinner most days, hardly needed our car. For two people it was exactly what we were looking for.

Excellent Home

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home is very nice and accommodated us as a couple and our two pups. Backyard is a highlight with a covered gazebo on the patio, nice flush grass, fully fenced, jacuzzi. House is perfect for a couple, nice kitchen, living room, and nice king size bed. Quiet neighborhood but two blocks to food truck lot, restaurants, two great breweries Needed to call owner/manager once for a simple question, and she picked right up on a Sunday. We'll be back.

This bungalow was perfect for my husband and I, along with our two dogs. Cozy little place, awesome hot tub, good host, and it was in a great location. We were able to walk to just about everything! We will definitely be staying here again!

The Drake Bungalow

The house was amazing, just the right size for me and my small dog. We both loved the spacious back yard with tall safety fence and gazebo, did not use the hot tub but it did look inviting. I also appreciated the alley parking. The house is walking distance to everything and the neighborhood quiet and friendly. I went to Bend to visit my son who lives in Bend and works at Smith Rock leading climbs. I was able to get a personal tour of the park and it is a natural wonder. The house made it easy for us to visit each other and walk to many wonderful eateries like the food trucks and restaurants. Will seek out this property again in the future

Adorable home with an excellent location!

My husband and I and our 2 pets enjoyed our stay here! You will be hard-pressed to find a more walkable location! Super close to parks, (including Drake Park), downtown, a convenience store, the Lot (fabulous food carts, beer/cider/wine, & seats!), and a ton of great small businesses, pubs, & restaurants along Galveston. We enjoyed shopping at Sand Lily, eating at Dump City Dumplings, El Sancho, & the Victorian Cafe. We did plenty of walking around the beautiful neighborhood and took our dog to Harmon Park where she got to 'watch' the ducks and run around. If visiting during the winter, be sure to bring appropriate footwear as the walkway from the parking in the alley to the backdoor (which we used frequently) was very icy. Loved the spacious yard, though, for our pup! Erin was easily reachable by phone when we needed her. We would absolutely recommend this spot to visiting friends or family and all wishing to explore the Bend area.

River cottage.

If only it were 25 years ago. The tiny cottage is next door to a giant McMansion. You can't help but feel someone is looking down on you while in the yard/ hot tub. The constant construction in this ever growing Bend OR is nuts. Huge boulders in the front yard is en vogue here. The cottage is on a very busy food truck street and traffic/ people finding parking is very busy from 4:30 - 8:00.

Excellent location and accommodations, + dog friendly

This house was perfect for our Bend getaway! We were able to bring our dog with us which is always a plus, and he was cozy in his crate when we couldn’t bring him along. The single mini-split kept us plenty warm while a small wind storm rolled through. And it cleared up enough for us to enjoy a sunny afternoon in the hot tub. The bathroom was spacious with good lighting. We appreciated not having to carry around an extra set of keys with the keyless entry. Checkout was a simple process and owner was easily accessible for communication. Would definitely stay here again! The location and proximity was absolutely wonderful! It was so great to have the option to stay close to ‘home’ with all of the walkable restaurants on Galveston Avenue/Westside. Shout outs to: Megaphone (Metolius Chai, yum!), Bo’s Falafel, The Lot & food trucks (loved the heated bench seats), Big O Bagels, Brother Jon’s Public House, 10 Barrel Brewing, Sunriver Brewing, West Side Tavern, The Dough Nut Westside. And downtown Bend is just a 15-20 minute walk through the gorgeous Drake Park or short drive – full of great shops and eateries (and drinkeries). Shout out to: The Cellar, Pizza Mondo, FOUND Natural Goods, Pegasus Books, and so many more. Plenty of (free) street parking available. Also, for the doggos – highly recommend the GoodDog! off-leash park 10 minutes away from the house. And we also brought doggo with when we hiked the beautiful Tumalo Falls trail; roughly 7.5 miles roundtrip. We made it up to the plateau which was lightly covered in snow – so cool and unexpected!

Charming house in a great location

The house is in a fantastic location, one block from a food truck lot and 15 minutes through Drake Park to downtown. The house itself is small but the layout is efficient so as a week away for two people felt spacious. The bathroom features a beautiful claw foot tub which can be challenging to get out of in shower mode if you have mobility issues. A non skid tub liner and mat are provided to help. When we booked we read reviews about potential privacy due to a house next door While the house next door is large, the house itself has window coverings for privacy and the gazebo allowed for a more private outdoor space for gathering. We did not try to use the hot tub. We'd come back here in a heartbeat! The property was clean, access was easy, and the location was perfect!

This house is over 100 years old and we love the historic features and feel of it, paired with modern amenities. My favorite hidden treasure: the little wire bunny rabbit that sits on the kitchen shelf to this day. It was fashioned out of old wire during a lunchbreak and hidden in the walls by the original builders of the home. It stayed there for 90 years prior to a drywall remodel when it was discovered with some old newspapers that had been used for insulation and an early 1900's bottle cap.
