Best views on the lake! Authentic lake cabin vibes with up-to-date amenities in a private wooded setting overlooking Sturgeon Lake. You have direct access to the lake with a private dock and 150' of shoreline, and canoes, kayaks and paddleboards to explore the lake. Outside you'll enjoy a new lakeside deck, a cabin deck with a patio table and gas grill, and a sitting area around a firepit (firewood included). You'll enjoy the sights and sounds of loons and bald eagles and watch amazing sunsets. Inside the cabin you'll stay comfortable with a new furnace and air conditioning, a newly renovated fully stocked kitchen (spring 2027), and an open great room, all with amazing lake views. The cabin has two private bedrooms, each with queen beds, and a sleeping loft with three single beds. The sleeping loft is great for kids and young adults. One bathroom with a tub/shower. The cabin can easily accommodate 7 guests. There is Wi-Fi, Netflix, DVD player with movies, and some games/puzzles. The boat launch is close by if you want to bring your own boat. Ask about local pontoon rentals starting at $800 for three days and discounted rates for additional days.

Inquire about specific availability and discounted 30+ day stays. $75 pet fee for ONE small/medium sized dog that does NOT shed. Add a pet when completing the number of guests. Sorry, no other pets are allowed.

Explore local trails for walking/hiking, ATV, snowmobile, and biking. Enjoy local restaurants, shops, a brewery, or play golf and pickleball, all within a few miles of the cabin. A short drive away is Jay Cook and Banning state parks, and Duluth is just 40 minutes away.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! 🥹 The communication with the owner was amazing from start to finish. They were so helpful, responsive, and easy to work with, which made everything feel completely stress-free.The cabin was so cute and quaint, and the lake view was absolutely beautiful! We spent a lot of time just enjoying the view and soaking in how peaceful everything was. We also caught a few bass & blue gill off the dock! There’s no air conditioning, which we were a little nervous about at first, but honestly, the breeze kept the cabin surprisingly cool and comfortable. And bonus: we barely saw any bugs! The location was perfect for us. It’s close enough to a little town (Moose Lake) when you need something, but once you’re at the cabin, it really feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of the woods. It was the perfect combination of secluded and convenient.We had such a relaxing, peaceful vacation and honestly didn’t want to leave! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy little getaway.

The only downfall was there is no AC. We made do with the fans. We can’t control MN weather when the temp reaches 95, it did make it hard to sleep. Thankfully we brought up a few extra fans of our own.

After this really hot summer of 2026, we have decided to install a new furnace and air conditioning. By fall of 2026 the cabin will have a new furnace and AC.

We really enjoyed the views and Lake. It was a nice area to vacation at, and I would go again. The owners were very friendly and easily available for what whatever we needed. I would say comfortible sleeps 6 people unless you have two younger children.

Comfortable, clean, and amazing views

What a beautiful property. We stayed here as it was close to where my son was getting married. And after spending two nights with amazing views and clean comfortable beds my wife and I decided we will need to bring the whole family back just to enjoy for a getaway weekend. Just spent 2 nights but they were a great 2 nights. Beautiful location and the property is perfect. Get the houseboat to spend a day or 5 on the lake. The dock is amazing and communication with Eric was great. I’ll be back!!

The property is accurately described in the write-up; the bunk beds are in a small cubby where a washer and dryer used to be. The kitchen is small but served our needs for a family of 4. The fishing was wonderful, we rented the Pontoon for the week and it was a big hit! Eric was quick to respond to all questions and check in was easy. One easy thing that could be added is another mirror bedsides the one in the bathroom, sharing one bathroom is fine but doing your hair without a mirror is a little difficult:)

The built-in bunk beds is part of the cabin's original construction. It has never been a washer and dryer and there is not even a hook-up for them in that location. The only washer and dryer hook-up is in the basement. Adding mirrors in the two bedrooms is a great idea! Glad your family enjoyed the cabin and pontoon. Eric

Annual family vacation

Great little cabin. The only issue we had was there wasn’t enough hot water for all five of us to shower. If you have an elderly parent you are taking,the stairs we’re a bit much to get to the lake front. Great fire pit with plenty of wood and any questions I had were answered promptly. Would highly recommend this place!

Total Tranquility

A comfortable cabin in a stunning setting - perhaps the best you will find within 90 minutes (at my driving speed) of the Twin Cities, with a friendly and available host, kayaks canoes and paddleboards to hand, and natural beauty in every direction. Am recommending to all my family and friends. Was our first time in Minnesota, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Perfect spot on the lake!

We had a great time at this cabin! The beautiful view of the lake from the large window was breathtaking every morning. We loved sitting down by the lake and paddleboarding and kayaking around the water. There were lots of places to sit and hang out outside, we especially liked eating outside at the table and looking out at the lake. Everything was clean and comfortable inside the cabin. It's only about 40 minutes from Duluth so it was easy to drive into Duluth for an evening as well. This cabin was everything we were looking for for a relaxing bachelorette weekend with friends!

Cozy comfort with a great view

This was a great cabin to stay with family for a wedding in the area. The view is terrific, and the kitchien/dining/living room has an open airy feel, which makes it great for visiting. It's always a bummer to pay a lot of fees and then then find stuff not clean--crumbs on end tables, mantel, dining table; and microwave really dirty both inside and out. Other than that, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Stephanie, We are very sorry that the cleaning did not meet your expectations. We had new shingles installed the day before your group checked in and we did not realize that the work on the roof would create some mess inside. When cleaning after you left we noticed this and apologize we didn’t realize it before you checked in. The microwave is part of our cleaning checklist every time, so that should not have happened. I’m glad you otherwise enjoyed it, but we feel bad the cleaning wasn’t up to our typical standard. Eric and Megan
