You will enjoy the serenity of being under the huge canopy of massive pine trees on the half acre lot! Awesome lake views!
Brand new paver patio with built in fire pit with barrel Sauna that over looks the lake. The cabin is fully loaded with amenities.

Experience the towns of Sturgeon Lake & Moose Lake. The area has many great eating and drinking opportunities. Bowling, Golf, movie theatre, brewery, casino, duluth

Moose lake golf club (9 hole golf course) is walking distance with good food and drinks and live music most Saturdays in the summer. Also burger night on saturdays.

Peggy Sue’s is an awesome diner for breakfast 7 min away

Lazy moose has awesome all day meals!

Moose lake brewery is 6 min away

Moose lake grocery store 6 min away

Pizza pub has amazing pizza and beer 5 min away & Delivers!!!

Doc’s is a great bar and restaurant 5 min away

Moose lake has an antique movie theater 7 min away, fun experience!

Firewood is not supplied and can be purchased at the grocery store in Moose lake.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am
Laundry is in the lower part of the cabin and access thru an outside door on the lake side.

We absolutely loved our stay at Whispering Pines. This cabin was perfect for our family and had everything we needed. Our adult/teenage kids loved all the lake toys and yard games. The cabin was so comfortable, it truly felt like home. We didn't want to leave. We would absolutely stay again!

Great Cabin

We loved our time at Whispering Pines. The cabin was cozy and welcoming, and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful right on the water and we saw lots of wildlife on the lake. The hosts were very communicate before and during our stay and answered all of our questions quickly. They even recommended some local places to visit and they were great!

26 Year Wedding Anniversary Trip

This is the first time that we booked with VRBO. I was pleasantly surprised with all the amenities and supplies at the house. I brought my own coffee and found out that they had some in the house. The WiFi was excellent as my husband and I also logged into work a little bit each day. We didn't do any water activities as we felt it was too cold. We did spend a nice day on the deck where we played games, grilled and hung out with our pups. We went to the Moose Lake Golf Course Club to eat. They don't have a full kitchen. We did an afternoon of bowling at Route 61 Lounge and Bowling and had dinner. My husband is an avid biker and this trip allowed him to bike on the Munger Trail from Hinkley to Lake Sturgeon. Took a day trip to Duluth with the pups and walked around and had lunch then my husband biked from Duluth to Lake Sturgeon. I only saw a few people a couple properties over that were fishing. It was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation.

Awesome stay. Had a really FUN time!!

Beautiful cabin and scenic location. Stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every one of them. We used all the water "toys" and equipment, as the weather was perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, and just floating on the "lily pad float". Caught some bluegills off the dock, so the little guy had fun fishing. Great stay for a small family or group. Smores over the campfire sealed the deal. We'll be coming back!

Beautiful Lake Oasis

Spent a week enjoying the lake life. This cabin was perfect for an our family (2 adults, 3 teens). Although didn’t spend a ton of time indoors-the cabin was nice, clean, and comfortable. The outdoor area was incredible. The views are amazing, the lake was easily accessible. Fishing, swimming, and the included water toys keep everyone busy and entertained all day. We will definitely look to stay again next time we are in Minnesota.

Memorial Day weekend

We had a lovely time in the area. The near by golf course was an added plus! The cabin was clean and cozy. The lake was beautiful! Brian was very responsive when I reached out with a couple questions. Really well out together place! Lovely fire pit. Wish we had had time to enjoy the sauna.

Family New Years Eve

Whispering Pines Weekend

This cabin was perfect for our group of 7 adults. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. We enjoyed all the water toys and the sauna. The fire pit was nice and the lights in all the trees were pretty!

Relaxing

Cozy cabin with Gorgeous Lake Views!

Perfect location for our trip of three friends as we spent time here in August. We hadn't planned to get in the water although it looks very inviting and we enjoyed watching others out on their boats. It's beautiful for sitting outside having coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Lots of birds to see. The nearby town of Moose Lake is easy access and had everything we needed. Great location for going up to Duluth for a day trip too. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Whispering Pines. Beautiful view with gorgeous early morning sunrises over the lake from the bedroom window. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to kayak the lake conveniently. The sauna was also a nice treat. Sitting on the dock amongst the tall pines was relaxing.

Winter Weekend Getaway

My partner and I enjoyed a winter weekend getaway at Whispering Pines and can’t wait to book another visit! The cabin is cozy - we especially loved the fireplace and sauna. We also enjoyed cooking in the nice kitchen and there’s nothing quite like eating with a beautiful lake view! The local grocery store was a short 8 minute drive away and we also enjoyed stopping for dinner at Doc’s, a local fave. With the golf course a short walk down the road, we’ll definitely book a stay in the summer to enjoy a few rounds of golf and time at the lake. Thank you for sharing this great spot!

Location, location, location !

Loved the view, loved using the kayaks and SUPs. Loved the view and sitting around the fire pit. Deck eating was perfect. Pileated woodpecker and eagles. Communication with Brian was easy and clear.

Great property on a quiet side of the lake!

Great cabin on a dead-end road. Lots of activities for everyone, and a comfortable stay for the whole family. The kitchen has been remodeled and was well stocked with equipment. Perfect for our family of 4! Great fishing off the dock, and easy access to restaurants and grocery stores in Moose Lake.

Beautiful Lake & Comfortable House

This house was perfect for our family! My favorite part was the great view of the lake. Plus, by mid-day the dock is shaded, so my kids and I were able to enjoy the water and the dock in shade. If you want sun you can go a little further out (the lake is shallow for a ways beyond the shore). The mature trees provide excellent shade from intense summer sun. It's a beautiful place to relax in summer. There was a breeze off of the lake for our entire visit, swinging in the hammocks was cool, and bug free. The neighborhood was so quiet, great for sleeping, fishing, quiet reading. The listing says it can sleep 8, but I think the house is ideal for 4-6 people. The dining room table really could fit 8, as could the big living room sectional.

Loved it!

We loved it and can’t wait to visit again in the summer! Even in sub-zero temps it was a great cabin! Warm and cozy, extra blankets were perfect, loved the fire place and the fire pit and the kitchen and large table…and the view!!!

Great vacation getaway!

This was the perfect week-long getaway vacation for me, my husband, son, and dog. The cabin itself was amazing - the warm decorations, the cozy fire place, and wonderful views of Sturgeon Lake. The outdoor area is great - the deck has a picnic table and grill, the hanging lights running through the back yard were a wonderful back drop. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, making breakfast and dinner at the cabin. The location is great to access a couple of small towns in the area, each presenting great dining options. The owners left some suggestions for food, and we were happy with the ones we chose. We recommend Poor Gary's, Redneck's BBQ, and Lazy Moose in Moose Lake - they all delivered on great food. When I had a couple of questions, the owner was very quick to respond and was very helpful. This was the break we needed, and we loved staying here!
