DON’T STAY HERE

My friends and I booked this vrbo just to find out the owner didn’t approve it and we were not able to get into the home. Terrible experience of waiting around for hours for nothing. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Old and rundown but at least somewhat clean

No Wi-Fi or television cable at the property. Communication with “property manager” was completely poor. Doesn’t respond. Place could be much nicer if maintained properly. Chipped walls, broken glass, no paper towels or toilet paper. Wood flooring with tons of scratches and creeks. Only saving grace was the shower pressure and beds were fully clean. Gets the job done if ya need a few beds to crash on but don’t expect much otherwise

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIVE!!!

In addition to the broken front door lock and the non-working internet, the house is in terrible condition. The walls and floors are all in disrepair, and we mean scratched and cracked; there was a bare electrical outlet in the living room, dilapidated shelving in the kitchen, hardly any water pressure in the bath and kitchen, no paper towels, no soap in the bathroom, no towels except for a few ratty ones stuffed into greasy cupboards. This property is not welcoming or hospitable in any imaginable way. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK THIS HORRIBLE DIVE!!

As pictured but cockroaches

The house itself is as pictured and we didn’t have any problems with cleanliness upon arrival however at night the cockroaches come out. Couldn’t play music or hangout outside without horrible neighbors yelling at us. Even just bbqing at 11am it was awful. Tried to email the hosts and received no response about any of our problems. It was as pictured but not worth the money I wouldn’t book this.

Great potential, but needs help

I recently stayed here for 6 nights with my family, including my eight year old son and our dog. The good: the house is in a great location, on a quiet street. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach, walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shops etc, and a quick drive to surrounding towns to go to the boardwalk and play mini golf. The shower had good water pressure, and the washer and dryer worked well and were very convenient. The kitchen appliances worked well. The bad: the house was not cleaned when we got there. The bathroom had mildew on the ceiling and the shower curtain, there were dust bunnies on the wall and ceiling in the kitchen, all the appliances felt sticky, there were empty water bottles on the floor behind the futon in the living room. I opened up the oven and there was a baking sheet in the oven with hardened bacon grease on it. There were only 2 forks in the kitchen, and not enough bath towels for the 7 people that the house is supposed to sleep. One of the window AC units was so incredibly loud that we couldn't even use it. The outside area is very unkempt and overgrown with weeds, empty propane tanks and an unusable outdoor shower in the back. The owner should leave a sheet with instructions for guests with information on when the garbage and recycling are picked up (the outside bins were completely full when we arrived), how to use the Apple TV, turn on the wireless router etc. There are some major safety concerns with this house. Many of the windows don't have locks, one window has a big crack in it, there was a carbon monoxide detector in the living room but it was on the TV stand with no batteries in it, and there are no blinds on any of the front windows so people walking by at night could see right in the window. We also saw cockroaches in the bathroom and there was roach spray in one of the bedroom closets. The owner should consider hiring an exterminator to address this issue. The property has great potential due to the location, but I don't feel it is fair to market it as a family friendly property as most parents I know wouldn't feel comfortable having their children in a home with safety issues.

Cleanliness and air conditioning

The house was not cleaned upon my arrival and that is unacceptable considering there was a charge for cleaning. The shower curtain had mildew on it and should be cleaned after everyone's stay. Garbage cans were full outside. The air conditioning was so loud we could not use it. Time for a new one. Broken window next to air. Backyard was a mess. If multiple things were revamped it would be a nice place.. we also saw roaches in bathroom so an exterminator should be in touch. The money spent for 4 days was definitely not worth it. Property was unsecured because there were no locks ion windows.
