Makai 116 is a great bay view end unit conveniently located on 42nd Street and the bay front in Ocean City, Maryland. Walk to the Convention Center, dining, shops and the beach. The building has two elevators serving all floors, an indoor pool, ground floor lounge with free internet access, fitness center and billiards room. This property rents mini weeks with check in/check out on Thursday and Sunday in season and any 3 nights off season. Bed sizes include a king in the master and 2 double beds (bunk) and 1 single trundle in bedroom 2 and a full size sleep sofa in the living area. Guest provides sheets, towels, all soaps and paper products. For your added convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the unit. An optional linen package is available for purchase for this property and would be delivered to the condo on your day of arrival and picked up on your day of departure. The package would include sheet sets for each bed and towel sets equaling the maximum occupancy of the condo.
Non-smoking/vaping. No pets, please. Property owner does not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 25.

Beautiful sunset water views

Beautiful views from this well maintained property! Just a short walk to the beach and many other restaurants and views. Comfortable master bed and we'll stocked kitchen.

My stay

The property was in a great location and the check in process was easy. The view on the bay was beautiful. The only issue I had was that there were crumbs in the sofa bed when we pulled it out, and the mattress covers should be replaced since they appeared to be a bit dated. Otherwise, our stay was great and I would book this property again.

Last minute beach vacation

We decided last minute we did not want to miss this beach this year. We were only able to do a mini week. This place looked great online to meet our needs for this vacation. Was easy to book Place appeared as advertised. It was very clean and check in was easy.

Great place

We had a great stay, very easy to Check in/check out. Located at a great spot, and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and things to do, as well as the beach! We were very pleased with our stay, and will be back!

Well equipped condo, but lacking cleanliness

We were impressed by the furnishings and amenities within the condo. The kitchen was fully stocked with the basics and then some. Our biggest issue was that the condo appeared to be that is was just spot cleaned. The master bath had dark mildew in the grout, throw rugs were covered in sand and dirt and the floors were dirty. There was old food stains on the wall. The Keurig water tank had mold. I spent the first two hours of our vacation mopping the floors, wiping the walls, and tossing the throw rugs in the wash. We also had the cleaning crew come back and address the mildew in the bathroom; it was disgusting and I couldn’t think of taking a shower in there. All it took was some bleach and elbow grease to get the mildew taken care of. It’s unfortunate because the condo overall was nice, but it appeared that the cleaning crew was lackluster in their job. Given COVID-19, we expected more attention to cleanliness. The building dated.
