Thank you Karen! So glad you had a great week. The oyster cages are the property of the neighboring hotel and not in our swimming area. They are mandated to be far enough off shore to not present a danger to any swimmers. Although we are not fond of their visual at low tide, they fortunately have not been a hazard to our swimmers.

We encourage anyone reading JoAnn’s review to read the glowing reviews from all renters who stayed within the same month- as well as our reviews from prior years. It is clear what a bizarre outlier this review is, so we feel compelled to respond. JoAnn- it was obvious from the get-go that you were going to be a problem, when you could not figure out how to send us back a rental agreement for 4 months, and then created multiple duplicate reservation requests in the VRBO system asking us for information we had already sent. It is clear that you take great pleasure in lodging as many complaints as possible, in the most abusive and offensive manner. From wiping the bottom of the wainscoting and the top slat of the blinds to find dust; to claiming normal wear and tear makes the grill “not useable”; to demanding someone fix the oven IMMEDIATELY (it worked perfectly, you just couldn’t figure out how to turn it on); and the cabinet door was “falling off” (it wasn’t). And- every complaint delivered in a barrage of Emails in the most abusive tone possible. Claiming we “need to care more” after we renovated the cottage top to bottom this year is beyond the pale. Obviously it STILL hasn’t registered with you that this cottage is our home, you describe our neighbor as a “maintenance neighbor person” because you don’t realize that’s their home too. Please stick to major corporate rentals- they have entire paid departments to give people like you the attention and validation you crave.

We do have a company we recommend to rent towels and bedding if needed for the future!
