Great place to stay, will definitely stay again. Owner was great at responding. AC was ice cold. Only two bad things about the place was no grill, or dryer (for wet towels).

This was a gem! Close to a trolley, local coffee shops and resturants. Literal steps away from the beach! Cutest cottage with plenty of room for our family of 5. The owner was very communicative. Check in and check out was a breeze. The place was clean and had everything you need. This was a haven for a much need restful respite!

Extremely pleased with the location, walk right to the beach steps away, also you have a great covered patio looking right at the ocean between the property and public beach, so its a private beach basically. Apartment is great, clean, comfortable, the owner and property manager are top notch first class, highly recommend for anyone

Book it! This place is great. #1 Location. It's steps from the beach. No elevators, stairs or roads to cross. And has private beach access. The public access is down a ways, so the beach wasnt crowded by us. #2 The house is a really nice size for a family. We had 5 people stay. 4 adults and 1 child and we had plenty of room. Our son (9) used the couch and said it was comfortable. You can easily sleep 2 people on the couch if needed. # 3 It was very clean, smelled good and had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi worked great too. The kitchen is small, but well stocked for dishes, cutlery and pans and has an apartment sized stove and fridge. We cooked the majority of our meals here with no issues. There are some cute shops around and an really nice mini golf course is across the road. We walked the beach to the ice cream shop down the street and that was fantastic too. Its also only 20-30 min from Clearwater Beach / Pier 60 depending on traffic. Which was perfect for us. There is some dinner yachts there that i also recommend This all being said, I'm actively looking for plane tickets to return. We loved it so much, I cant wait to return!

Great location

I can’t say enough about the location and access to the beach. The unit sits among several other similar units with a nice walkway to the beach. The owner was super nice and responded quickly to a few inquiries I had. Great communication. The house itself needs some TLC, but overall was clean. The beds we’re comfortable and there was a nice supply of towels and some complimentary toiletries. The bathroom is very small. They also have beach towels and beach chairs available to use as well which was convenient.

This is the perfect location for beach goers

This was such a delightful place to stay. Very clean and cute on the inside and is the shortest walk to the beach! The beach is literally on the property. No need to even pack a cooler, you just walk back to the house. There's a trolley stop not far from the drive at all. We did not rent a car. The parking spot would've been a bit difficult to navigate for anything larger than a car, so I'm happy with that decision. The house is just as described in the pictures, really cute. It was easy to text the property manager with any questions. I'm looking forward to my next visit and will definitely seek this location again.

Pros:This house was in a great locationThe manager was super responsive and nice. Decently cleanedConsThe whole place looks great in photos but isn’t really. There is weird drywall issues everywhere. The walls and doors need to be painted really badly which makes the whole place seem dirty. It would be an easy fix that I’m surprised they haven’t done. The shower could have been cleaned better as well. The couch is broken on the end. If you book only do it for the price you’d pay for a two bedroom across the road. Even then I’m not sure it’s worth it unless you *really* want to be that close to the beach.

Hi Rebecca, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they're accustomed to providing excellent guest experiences, and would like to share the following:  - Upon inspection, we noticed several black marks on the walls that weren't present during our team's cleaning before your check-in. Additionally, some spackle near the door appeared to have been chipped away. Following your check-out, we repainted the entire interior, addressed the wall with the marks, and repaired the area where the spackle had been damaged. - We used a professional photographer to guarantee that our listing images accurately reflect the character of the home and guests can decide before booking if the space meets their preferences. After reviewing the photos, the only changes not reflected are the addition of a few plants and updated artwork.  - Before the arrival of each new guest, we thoroughly clean the entire cottage, ensuring meticulous attention to detail from top to bottom.  - We've addressed your comment concerning the couch, and upon examination, it appears to be undamaged. - We carefully set competitive rates for the property after a thorough analysis of the home itself and the surrounding area.  - Unfortunately, the cottage was left in unsatisfactory conditions that required a deep cleaning. While we want our guests to enjoy their stay here, we also need them to respect our home and treat the property as their own. We truly go above and beyond for our guests and we look forward to hosting many happy travelers.

The host was super nice and communicated really well. The home was beautiful and we loved every part of our stay. Its a quieter neighborhood perfect for family fun and they even had beach toys in the closet. The sunsets were everything and the neighbors were kind. Definitely will be back!

Excellent Location, Incredible Value

First of all, I want to thank Vince for being so welcoming and communicative. He gave a friendly greeting and responded quickly to a couple questions we had. Second, the cottage. Very clean, very comfortable and for the price, it absolutely can't be beat. There were a couple of nicks here and there, but well appointed, with comfortable beds, a fully stocked little kitchen and three TVs! We were there to go to the beach, of course, but it was really nice having an option of chillaxing in front of the tube in the living room or the bedroom... and HBO was free! Third, the location... fantastic! The beach was 30 steps from our door, the sand was powdery and bright white and the sunsets were superb. Overall, this was a wonderful place and a wonderful trip and we'll definitely be back!

One of the worst places we've ever stayed at! Owner was rude.

Let me start out by saying I'm NOT a complete snob when things aren't the way I expect them, but this place was just plain horrible. When you look at the photos, the place looks nicely remodeled with a great taste in furniture. We were excited to stay here. Upon arriving, we discovered that the house had sand all over the floor and couches - okay, we did some sweeping. Not pleased but also not surprising because it's by the beach. We had to wear shoes in the house the entire time. The bathroom was gross. No wonder there is no photo of the shower floor. There was hair all over the bottom and it was super old and black. The tile is crazy old and run down - def not how the photos show. The bathroom sink was clogged and would barely drain the entire time so we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink. There was also not enough toilet paper over the course of 3 days. We had 6 people staying there, which was allowable, yet there were NO extra blankets or sheets for the couch. Thank goodness we had a couple extra blankets we traveled with and we used those for our kids. Beware that the couch does NOT become a bed. What you see is what you get. One of our kids had to sleep on one side and one on the other. The beds and pillows were horribly uncomfortable. They were the cheapest IKEA polyester pillows (large and hot) and IKEA mattresses. We had to strip one of the sheets and pillow cases because it was stained pretty badly and was gross. Bring your own pillow if you must stay here. There were also 4 towels for 6 people for 3 nights. How was that okay? Especially when you have to shower so many times after salt water. I texted the owner and he said he would get some out there by the end of the day. Well, that was not upheld. The next day, I found another number and the gal was super helpful, apologized, and dropped off newly purchased towels for us. Next thing I know, I received a very rude text from the owner that I was to never contact the other gal again unless it was a dire emergency. I texted him back telling him he had promised to get us missing items, like towels, extra sheets/blankets, and toilet paper, but he didn't respond even to this text after scolding me. We were never able to sleep in past 7am because there was construction nearby and the noise was very loud. Nice vacation when you can't get enough rest. Beware that the main door has at least a 1 to 1.5 inch gap where any insect, snake, or lizard can easily make their way into the house. In our case, it was palmetto bugs, in other words, Florida cockroaches The first night, I heard something tapping along the floor and it just gave me the shivers. Upon getting out of bed, I almost stepped on an upside down cockroach, legs still wriggling. We discovered several more dead ones around the house. Not sure if they came in while we were there or the cleaners aren't very thorough (there was an empty soda bottle under the bed, so most likely, the latter). I did let the owner know that there were roaches, hair balls behind the doors, dirty window sills with bugs and dust, clogged sink, dirty towels and sheets, and not ENOUGH towels and toilet paper. He did offer to let me stay another night free, but that was the last thing I wanted to do. We couldn't wait to get out of there. Thankfully, we were refunded for 1 night. Also, on the last day when we were leaving, we stripped the sheets and the mattresses were hideous. They had spots and stains everywhere. One of them had a large coffee spill or something. Why wouldn't you buy a mattress protector at least so that doesn't happen? Especially since you have so many people sleeping on the same bed. Yuck. I give this place 1 star because it is close to the beach and another star because of the attempted modern decor. Everything else about it was just plain bad. Don't say you weren't warned.

Vince was in touch the day before we left, no check in anxiety! Right on the beach. Great location. On the trolley line, connecting all the beaches and it runs late. So no need to drive drunk! There is a little construction across the street. Starts at 7 am. Bring ear plugs

Clean and authentic

Super relaxing place! Roomy cabana nestled on the gulf in a charming old-school setting. Inside looks modern with new furnishings and a good-sized living/dining room combo featuring two plus walls of windows, so plenty of light. Well appointed bedrooms, a sizable tv area, and a small, open kitchen. Best feature though is the beach access of course, with a good sized outdoor dining area before the sand. Tan first, chill later - we’ll be back!

Perfect little beach cottage

Perfect beach cottage. Steps to the beach. Check in was a breeze. Vince communicated everything we needed to know. Safe neighborhood, beautiful white sand beach. Plenty of linens, and towels, and comfortable beds. The only thing that lacked was a mirror. The only mirror in the house is the bathroom vanity mirror. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Attached is the text message sent to the property manage upon checkout today. I think it says it all. I am still awaiting a response to the message from the property owner but needless to say, was beyond disappointed and with VRBO in not ensuring a better quality experience. Vince, want to share some feedback with you surrounding our accommodations over the weekend. We checked out this morning and although the location of the beach house was a positive, there were several issues with the facility that required attention. First, linens and supplies were greatly lacking. Per our previous conversation, not enough blankets, sheets, or towels were available the first night, the posting called for capacity of 6 people, and it was clear by the booking that my family had 6 attending. Although supplies were delivered the next day (Sunday), toilet paper and other paper products still weren't enough which required me to go to a local store and purchase more. Cleanliness as we discussed previously was a significant issue. Items in the kitchen weren't properly cleaned and I've attached pictures as examples (unsure if what's in the utensil drawer are droppings, eggs, or something else). There were spots on some of the bedding as well. I simply was expecting more based on a rental of this price for my family's trip. Questions, let me know. Jeremy Anderson

Hi Jeremy, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We're sorry your stay didn't meet your expectations. - As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the owner provides a starter amount of toiletries and other essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies. - We provide sufficient supplies for our guests but were, of course, willing to address your concerns. Once you brought the issue regarding extra linens to our attention, we addressed it as quickly as possible by having more delivered to you. - We have the property professionally cleaned before the arrival of each new guest, and we trust our cleaning service. The silverware drawer was cleaned prior to your arrival. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!

We were celebrating a sweet 1️⃣6️⃣ for a group of sisters/friends

Ease of renting and the property manager was very responsive / easy to work with. The house was clean & located right on the beach! Great restaurants & shops & ice cream places nearby!
