Great Few Nights Away

Relaxing stay

We loved the cottage - comfy beds and sofas, lots of different sitting areas inside and outside, great breakfast and snack provisions (including catering for different diets), large TV for movies, modern bathroom, and a short drive to beaches and restaurants/cafes/bakery. Absolute delight

This is our second stay at the rainbow cottage, and as always it was the perfect holiday house with so much to do in the home but also so close to great attractions. Isabelle went above and beyond for us and her communication was amazing. We can’t wait for our next stay.

Super cozy cottage!

We had a great time at Rainbow Cottage, very quiet, pretty and comfortable. Our host was easily contactable and was accomodating to some dietary needs. The cottage has absolutely everything you could need, has plenty of space and is super super cosy! Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away.

Lovely short break at Rainbow Cottage

Beautiful property

My family had a lovely stay at Rainbow Cottage over the Christmas period. Isabelle has a lovely property that is in a great condition and she provided an extremely enjoyable experience. On arrival she had provided a nice little welcome treat but also had stocked the fridge and pantry with a lot of little things which was fantastic as it meant that we didn't need to immediately run out for supplies. The outside area was lovely to be in and we took full advantage of the warmer days on the deck and lawn out the back.

Short 2 day stay for Victor Triathlon

Overall this property was very good however, we did have difficulty with opening windows. The property owner kep in touch by messenger, v. good. We were also impressed by the extras available. We had taken eats, bathroom extras as we were told that everything we ould find we had access to including food. Overall it was very good.

Rainbow Cottage Review

Quiet area up on hill side of Port Elliot not on beachside. Very homely to the point of some items belonging to home owner still being in cupboards (clothes/bathroom items) which was unexpected. Loved the sunroom & outdoor area at back of house. Some minor cleanliness issues (cobwebs) & a safety issue of a a large split in from wood deck near front door. Owner very communicative & helpful tjough. Slightly put off by a business bring run from a caravan directly across the street in someone's fromt yard which was VERY visible from the front room despite the high front fence. outdoor area. Bed in mainrovery firm.

Thank you Mel for your review and for bringing the wood panel issue in the front porch to our attention. We have promptly made some temporary repairs until the front decking be fully restored this year. This summer has been particularly difficult with spider webs everywhere unfortunately . As for my personal belonging , I need to say that you were staying in my home not in a hotel room. In the main bedroom there is a large build in empty cupboard with ample storage space for guests. Roomy house 5 minutes from beach

We enjoyed our stay in Rainbow Cottage. The location was good for us as we don't mind being a little distance from the beach and the street was quiet. Positives included lots of living areas including two sitting rooms, a sun-room and two sets of tables and chairs outside, a large TV, two toilets, breakfast and other food provisions, and plenty of supplies of things like toilet paper. Overall it was a good place to stay. However, a few things detracted from our stay: no microwave in the kitchen (which we hadn't realised although it was not listed), transparent glass on the bathroom window with no blind - the chance of being overlooked seem minimal but we still felt uncomfortable - most lighting was quite dim, and there was no room to store our own food items in the kitchen, or our other possessions in other rooms, as almost all cupboards/drawers in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom etc. were full with the owner's possessions. Otherwise it's a lovely house.

Thank you again for your review Susan , I am glad that a lot of things in my house were appealing to you. I will address the bathroom window situation even that no one has ever complained. the small window is very high and faces our carport. Rainbow cottage is my home and not just a holiday rental so yes, I have some personal belonging but there is a double door large build-in cupboard in the main bedroom totally empty with ample of hanging and shelf space that I thought would be enough for short stays guests. The pantry cupboard in the kitchen has all the breakfast needs and some emergency supplies for guests as mentioned in the welcome flyer as you check-in. I am sorry you didn't like the fresh sourdough bread loaf and the local fresh milk. I do not use a microwave for health safety concern, but you are right I should mention it in the listing. Beautiful warm vibe

We had a brilliant stay in this lovely home. It is clean and beautiful styling and spacious living area. The garden and sunroom were well appreciated and its located on a nice quiet road. The kitchen was well provided. Highly recommended !
